The real deal of a Weavile; meet its opposite.

We all know that Weavile supposedly runs the physical Choice Band/Life Orb/Focus Sash set... well, I bring a new gen of Weavile that's so out of this world, if I were to beat a team with it, it'd cause chaos.

Timid nature
252 spd/252 sp.atk/6HP

Nasty Plot
Dark Pulse
Focus Blast
Ice Beam

"But ABY, that's just stupid!" I know; that's why I thought of it. I'm so wanting to make this just to confuse people. Nasty plot can get it around 360 sp. atk, and it can cause trouble to those who think it's a physical user, swap to skarmory, see the plot, then have to switch again. I dunno... I just like it ^^

Well I reckon it's a pretty cool idea. To confuse you're opponent in thinking that you're using a physical sweeper but you're not, and the same vise versa.

With its horrible base SAtk, it really won't be inflicting much damage on anything. Even the likes of skarmroy can roar it away and just be ready for it next time.

hmm specs would be better on this

Yeah, agreed. But, the strategy is pretty sweet. Would work with something that can mix sweep, right?

Hell no! If anything, Specs would be worse! Much worse. NP increases more than Choice Specs. So if Nasty Plot barely does it, then Specs would do much worse.

Especially since it traps him on one move doing little damage.

ABYAY January 1st, 2008 2:48 PM

like I said, it's just to make people think "WTF WAS THAT!!???" a 370 sp. atk stab'd Ice Beam does leave a nasty dent in Skarm though; rougly 232 damage, and 2 Nasty Plots make it enough for a OHKO. However, Blissey I still hate. Even after 2 Nasty Plots, it only does 342 damage on average vs. max IV 0 EV bold Blissey.

It's just designed to keep causing force switches because nobody wants a 2/3 damage dent in a Skarmory.

Emo Kid Cloudé January 1st, 2008 2:55 PM

Yeah, I did kinda have sense hit me and realise that 360 Sp. Atk isn't all too much power >,> I'd use it for a laugh, like you said, to make people go: 'WTF WAS THAT!!???'

Shamely they'd kinda own it after they have their senses come to them, which - unlike me - would hit them within about 5 seconds.

Good luck with 45 base Special attack. :/

That alone is this set's downfall. Even with 3 nasty plots, I doubt this would even threaten blissey. and for something that fragile, it won't be getting 3 nasty plots, we all know that.

Samson January 1st, 2008 3:17 PM

someone brought this weavile set up at smogon and the thing that interested me is it would probably be able to get in two nasty plots every time.

it gets raeped by other things with focus sash + priority moves, which is why someone gave it ice shard, but it needs more coverage. focus blast is good and all, but bad accuracy is so unattractive, especially with sash.

ABYAY January 1st, 2008 3:42 PM

yeah, I'll just use it as a joke most likely or for lesser competitive battles. I just think it's hilarious to run.

Azonic January 1st, 2008 4:04 PM

Wouldn't it be smart to have at least one physical move? that way it can destroy SkarmBliss. The opponent's going to figure it its a special sweeper sooner or later.

You mean after the first Nasty Plot? :)

ABYAY January 1st, 2008 4:07 PM

well, if anything, I could replace Focus Blast with Brick Break and replace nature with Hasty. with a good amount of IVs, it still holds around 270 attack I believe, which is okay. Not the best, but dents up Blissey some.

Samson January 1st, 2008 4:49 PM

heh... not really. it only does around 32-40% damage to standard blissey with brick break, nuetral. with 2 nasty plots, it does around 45-53% damage with focus blast.

expert belt would give it an edge, but still, you really need the sash.

Thsi reminds me of the set I once ran:

@Life Orb

Blizzard
Focus Punch
Nasty Plot
Dark Pulse/Night Slash

lolwut?
