Fire Red on the DS

Can anyone help me? It keeps saying that the save file has been deleted.

PB. January 6th, 2008 11:16 AM

It may be hacked because that can effect the battery life or the Battery may have run dry in which case you would need to replace it.

Obito. January 6th, 2008 11:24 AM

I am confused. i only just got fire red and my DS

PB. January 6th, 2008 11:34 AM

Maybe your game is faulty, Was it bought of an auction site like Ebay?

Obito. January 6th, 2008 11:55 AM

Yeah, thats were we got it from

PB. January 6th, 2008 11:58 AM

Thats probably your problem, Ebay can be a dodgy place to buy used electronics.

Obito. January 6th, 2008 12:14 PM

i couldnt find it anywhere else and it works sometimes

Waker of Chaos January 6th, 2008 1:59 PM

This is why you should never buy used stuff, especially not on eBay.

Go to a place like GameStop or somewhere where you can sell the FireRed game, and buy one that's actually new.

Obito. January 6th, 2008 2:22 PM

they never had it. and the ebay one was brand new

Just because it was advertised as "brand new" doesn't mean the other person couldn't have beaten it up pretty badly. Either that, or he just tried repackaging the blasted thing after hacking it.

Either way, you got scammed.

Obito. January 7th, 2008 6:07 AM

there must be a way to fix it!!!

Jessie January 7th, 2008 6:12 AM

You should be able to find FR/LG easy at Best Buy, Walmart, GameStop, etc. I'd get rid of the copy you have now and go buy a new one at a store.

Obito. January 7th, 2008 9:19 AM

but it does look real. it must be!

Yeah it might be, but someone may have hacked at it, or done something to it.

Obito. January 7th, 2008 10:23 AM

It didn't come with a manual. and the box wasnt even made up. but its got the offical nintendo seal thing

Zanacross January 7th, 2008 10:40 AM

Can you tell me what happens when you play it sam.

Can you play it and save the game?
But when you load the ave again what happens?

Obito. January 7th, 2008 11:04 AM

i can play it like normal.

sometimes when i load it says "the save file is ok" or "the save file has been deleted"

Zanacross January 7th, 2008 11:23 AM

Theres not really much you can do in this situation.

Just try to make sure that you dont knock it about.

Obito. January 7th, 2008 12:37 PM

okay then but is it normal to say that?

It shouldn't say that. Sell it on EBay, then buy one in Walmart, Best Buy, Superstore (if you live in Canada)... I need several pictures to make sure it's a bad version/fake.

Exokriz January 7th, 2008 1:39 PM

eBay isn't very reliable to buy electronics, I'd advise not to use eBay to buy them. I but all my games new anyway just to be positive that they work.

Jonbo January 7th, 2008 1:45 PM

Have you used it to trade pokemon to Diamond or Pearl? I read somewhere that that process deletes files of the GBA game if it is a fake game.

I bought an Emerald game that was like that, when ever I switched it on it said "The save file has been loaded. The game can be played" but it would randomly delete the file. The cartridge is very authentic, nontheless these are fakes. I was int he US in July 07 and I was able to buy a new, genuine FireRed in Gamestop without any problems. Just shop around and you'll find a new one soon enough.

@The Spook, shadow pwns!

This post is off topic. Notice - the new security system. Also, you need 2 GBA's to do trades for GBA games. DS's work for DS games only. By what I heard, you can get 2 SP's, and either 2 Wireless Adapters or a link cable (if you can find them)
