explosion

if a pokemon used explosion or self destruct would it stop liking you?

I wonder if it uses those attacks, how does it, like, regain it's form. Does it disappear, and turn in dust or something?

Well, use the attack in the game, and then check at one of those places to see if it likes you any more or less.

this deals with the mechanics of the game more than general knowledge...

BTW: I have no idea about that...

*moves*

When they explode & enter back into there ball they reform again, not dying there for still having a memery of its master & friendship!

unlike thec omic book where when it explodes, it dies. That is actually a very interesting question. You'll notice when brock's pineco exploded in teh cartoon, it was still in one piece, but with burn marks on it. It oculd be that in a sense, they explode, but the explosion some how comes out of them without ripping them apart. Like some sort of diffusion or osmosis.

In terms of how it works in the game, I'm not sure if they like you less or not. Usually when a pokemon faints in battle, it does like you less. I'm thinking explosion and self destruct and other such moves would count as fainting and therefore make them like you less. But that is just my theory.

Wrong.

In the manga, they disassemble, like Golem, or they would basically emit a powerful shockwave. Then they would faint. As for Golem, it would remain dissasembled until you fully heal it, then it would reassemble.

not wrong. in "The Electric Tale of Pikachu" no. 4, A giant haunter was stealing souls with a dream eater attack. Sabrina became a victim of it and to save her, they tried to catch it. Just as ash's "hyper" ball was about to hit it, it used self destruct and it died. As Brock said, " It's possible that the Haunter grew accustomed to being treated like a god, until they abandoned it. That's why it wouldn't let itself be captured by a human. It went out with an exit fit for a god."

Actually, it used both Self destruct and explosion, just not nesecarily in that order. However, that has nothing to do with the gameboy explosion, but thoreticly, becasue it fainted, yes it would dislike you.

That's in Dengeki...but not in Special

What matters what it was in?

Should've made it specific to what manga it is...;)

Pogiforce-14 July 11th, 2004 7:03 PM

I don't think it really matters what manga it was from. "The electric tale of Pikachu" is all I got, and all I know. I've been trying to find some more.

Well, since I'm much accustomed to Pokemon Special, and I only had "Electric Pikachu Boogaloo..." I didn't know much a lot about Ono's manga. XD
So...that lead me into jumping conclusions

Pogiforce-14 July 12th, 2004 5:17 PM

I want to get some more comics, Because I really like the ones I have. But this is way off subject, so I'll stop now.
