A double Rain team!!

A Rain double Battle team!!

Toxicroak @ Choice Scarf *Lead
Dry Skin…Adamant
252-Att, 252-Spd
.Pursuit
.Poison Jab
.Cross Chop/Brick Break
.Earthquake

A new pokemon that I liked, he works well with rain. Has a good
movepool for a Physical Sweeper. It is sorta fast, the only thing
to worry about is its poor defenses. Hopefully I can out speed some
of the competition. Pursuit for the annoying Hit-Switchers, Poison Jab
and Brick Break for STAB, Earthquake because I am starting with this
and B-zong with levitate.

Bronzong @ Wet Rock *Lead
Levitate…Relaxed or Sassy
244-Hp, 168-Def / 96-Sp.D
-Rain Dance
-Gyro ball
-Psychic
-Reflect

Great wall, will work great with Earthquake Toxicroak. Psychic & Gyro Ball for STAB.
With levitate in place the only weakness it has is fire, so rain is really going to be a
bonus, also good to get the rain set up so the swift swimmers don’t have to set up
for themselves. Reflect is the better option here because the rest on my team has
weaknesses to my Physical types.

Kingdra @ Leftovers
Swift Swim…Timid or Modest
252-Sp.Att, 252-Spd, 4-HP
.Hydro Pump
.Ice Beam
.Rain Dance.
.Dragon Pulse

Kingdra is a good sp.sweeper that I used for my first team.
Surf and Dragon pulse for STAB. Rain Dance as backup if B-zong fails.

Ludicolo @ Leftovers
Rain dish ... Bold
252-Hp, 158-Sp.def, 100-Def
.Surf
.Leech Seed
.Energy Ball
.Toxic

I love Ludicolo!!! Great typing, but not the greatest stats…but …oh well.
The Ev’s I gave are for more of a support type pokemon. Gets a lot of HP
restored at each turn, Great for destroying tanks.

Gardevoir @ Choice Specs of Scarf
Synchronize…Modest
252-Spd, 252-Sp.Att, 4-Hp
.Thunder
.Psychic
.Focus Blast/ Shadow Ball?
.Energy Ball

Basic Gardevoir, another one of my favorite pokemon. Thunder because of the increase
accuracy (rain dance), Psychic for STAB, Energy BAll is just a good option.Shadow Ball
for other psychics/ghosts, focus blast is a good fighting one, should i put it in?

Lapras @ Leftovers
Water Absorb … Adamant
156-Spd, 252-Att, 100-Hp
-Dragon Dance
-Waterfall
-Body Slam
-Ice Shard

Waterfall and Ice Shard are there for STAB. Body Slam is another attacking move.
DDancing will be protected a little because my allies will be using surf, and Lapras
has water Absorb to resore HP from surf.

What do you guys think? I was thinking of adding another status, just incase I
come up with something that will wall my team. Or will The toxic on Ludicolo be good?

Edits:
Gave Kingdra H-Pump
Choice Scarf for Toxicroak

You might want to consider Hydro pump over Surf on Ludicolo and Kingdra so you don't hit your own pokemon with STABbed and Rain boosted attacks. Or add Vaporeon with Water Absorb.

.amlex. January 11th, 2008 6:23 PM

Yeah.. Vaporeon is not the only one with Water absorb. My Lapras will be there to soak up the hits. But I'll consider giving Kindra Hydro Pump, just because, But surf will stay on Ludicolo.

Oh forgot about Lapras but its your own decision.

Yeah there are a couple that have water absorb, I chose Lapras just because it seems less OU than Vaporeon, But Quagsire, Mantine, Poli-toad & wrath also have water absorb, but I opted not to use them...

PhoenixFlare January 11th, 2008 6:35 PM

Give Kingdra Modest since Swift Sqim already increases speed.

.amlex. January 11th, 2008 6:39 PM

Good Idea, but I am a little lazy whne it comes to breeding, i ended up getting timid.. so I think that I'll just leave it as it is.

What do you think about my Leads? And also the status inducing (dont know if that is the right word..lol) question?

Alright, I think it is jolly, and it's base speed is 85, which I suppose is five under the recomended sweeper speed... But yeah, I'll give it choice scarf, thanks for the help.

dad123 January 12th, 2008 7:39 PM

really good team 9/10 overall

sims796 January 12th, 2008 7:50 PM

Dad, that helps no one.

First off, 90 base SPD is still pretty slow in the current enviorment. Why?

Well, the BARE MINIMUM of Garchomp is a surprising 102. What the hell is 2? Still, base 100 is barely pushing it. If it's 85, give it Scarf. Or Sucker Punck, your call.

Also, if this is a Rain Dance team, you will need more than one Rain Dancer. Weather based teams need absolute control of the weather to suffice. As do Trick Room teams. So give one more pokes Rain Dance, in case Bronzong gets KOed.

EDIT: Oh, I see you did. Well, give it to Ludicolo over Toxic, as Toxic in this gen is kinda shabby. All I must do is switch.
