Adamant [+Atk +S.Atk ]
Guts
252 ATT / 152 SPEED / 104 HP
~ Stone Edge
~ Megahorn
~ Close Combat
~ Sleep Talk / Night Slash / Pursuit

Guts is better, switch it in on a status and he rapes stuff. Sleep talk in that last slot as nothing really absorbs sleep on this team and it activates Guts which is nice. Night Slash and pursuit are up to you, pursuit hits fleeing stuff, whilst Night slash is more reliable as a dark move.

Choice Band or Scarf, both go great on him.

Bold [+Def -Atk ]

This looks good

Relaxed[+ Def +S.Atk ]
Levitate
252 HP /8 DEF / 96 SP.DEF / 152 ATT
~ Hypnosis
~ Earthquake / Explosion
~ Stealth Rock
~ Gyro Ball

Relaxed for gyro ball, Levitate is better as it nullifies one weakness apart from just halving the damage. You have snoralax for fire attacks aswell as salamence

leftovers allow it tank better

Careful [+S.Def -S.Atk ]
Thick Fat
128 HP / 44 Atk / 120 Def / 216 Sp.D

~ Body Slam
~ Rest

Rest and Lefties or you wont last long, looks fine

http://img252.imageshack.us/img252/3458/25yo0.png

[email protected] Ball
Hasty/Naive [+Spe - Def]/ [+Spe - S.Def]
152 Atk/102 S.Atk/252 Spe
~ Thunderbolt

~ Grass Knot /Hidden power Ice
~ Substitute

Surely you could find something better lol, looks ok though

[email protected] Specs
Modest [+S.Atk -Atk]
252 Spe/252 S.Atk/4 Hp
~ Draco Meteor
~ Dragon Pulse
~ Hydro Pump
~ Fire Blast

Fine

changes and comments are in bold.

Stone Edge or Ice Fang Taunt Gyarados and Garchomp may cause you problems. Although Claydol might be able to take Garchomp with Ice Beam, its not gonna like Dragon Claws after a swords dance and Bronzong really isnt gonna like taking Fire Fangs after a swords dance.

Gyarados is still a big threat, Starmie might go well on this team.

Chompah :x January 19th, 2008 6:05 PM

Hmm.
I like Pika.
I have an awesome Starmie but..
It has Illuminate.
Do you suggest I rebreed my Heracross.
Also!!!111

Should I put in AZELF for Pika?

Im thinking of putting an Azelf or Mixape in for Pika??
Would this work??

Azelf could work and so could mixape.

Life Orber

[email protected] Orb
252 SP.ATT / 38 ATT / 220 SPEED
Naive /Hasty nature
- Psychic
- U-Turn /Grass knot
- Flamethrower
- Explosion

Nasty Plot Sweeper

[email protected] Belt / Life Orb / Wise Glasses / Leftovers
252 SP.ATT / 38 HP / 220 SPEED
timid Nature
- Psychic
- Hidden Power Fighting / Grass knot / Thunderbolt
- Flamethrower
- Nasty Plot

Mixape

[email protected] Orb
Naive nature
252 SP.ATT / 232 SPEED / 24 ATT
- Close Combat
- Flamethrower
- Grass knot / Hidden Power Ice / Hidden power Electric
- Nasty Plot

Really you need a gyarados and Garchomp counter though. So id say re-breed it.

[email protected]
216 SPEED / 120 SP.ATT / 172 HP
Trait : natural Cure
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Surf
- Recover

Bulky Starmie, Rapid Spin can go instead of Thunderbolt or ice Beam if you drop Claydol for this.

Also you need to re-breed Hera, it needs GUTS !!!

Samson January 20th, 2008 11:52 AM

give pika sub and focus punch. it NEEDS it. the trouble with pika is you can only really bring it in on something like skarmory, who will switch out 80% of the time and whirlwind 20%. for that reason, it doesn't need that much speed. focus on its attack/sp atk.

Anti January 20th, 2008 11:57 AM

Having a CB as an option on a sub heracross probably isn't so smart :0

Lefties on Snorlax...too lazy to do a bold edit, yeah.

Problem is the lack of anything to stop Heracross. Mence is great with that, but one unpredicted Stone edge and you get fried.

Fairly solid team, but gosh, what an ugly pic of Bronzong >:0

El Gofre January 20th, 2008 12:00 PM

Personally, I can't the point in giving pika physical moves. Light ball only doubles SpAtt, and its Att is only base 50. With IVs permitting and a light ball a neutral natured pika can hit 398 SpAtt, while i fail to see this pika's Att hitting above 200. I use this set:
[email protected] Ball
Timid
252SpAtt/252Spd/6HP
Grass Knot
T-Bolt
HP (Ice)
Focus Blast/Nasty Plot

Works a treat

Anti January 20th, 2008 12:01 PM

Light Ball doubles attack too this gen :0

I'm pretty sure Pika can't Nasty plot though...

El Gofre January 20th, 2008 12:02 PM

Ohhhhh, serebii need an update lol
Its an egg move :)

Chompah :x January 20th, 2008 10:32 PM

Thx everyone for there help.
@Azelf,
I got a nice Azelf off wifi [timid] nasty plot sweeper with great speed and s.atk ivs.

Ársa January 20th, 2008 10:49 PM

Get it hack checked then, the Suicune that I got off GTS was almost perfect, and it was hacked. :(

Chompah :x January 21st, 2008 9:20 PM

Can Jolly Hera work??.
Cuz i'm breeding Hera's for guts and well..
I got a nice jolly one :].

Ársa January 21st, 2008 9:21 PM

Jolly on Choice Band Set. Jolly + Choice Scarf is overkill, it doesn't outspeed anything else.

~T_S

Chompah :x January 21st, 2008 9:22 PM

@Azelf.
What would Starmie replace??
PIKA??
if so then thats fine :].

Ársa January 21st, 2008 9:25 PM

Yes, replace Pikachu with Starmie.

[email protected]
Timid
216 HP, 196 Spd, 98 Sp. Atk

Rapid Spin
Recover
Thunderbolt / Ice Beam
Surf

That is the Rapid Spin Set. Or you can go Choice Specs:

[email protected] Specs
Timid
252 Sp. Atk, 216 Spd, 42 HP

Thunderbolt
Surf
Ice Beam
Psychic

Sleep Talk on a Choice Heracross? ._.

Doesn't Sleep Talk fail after being used once on a Choice set?

luke January 22nd, 2008 7:22 AM

No, it allows the user to be a sleep absorber on the team, activate Heracross's Guts, and blast the opponent with powerful, choiced, Guts-activated attacks.

Ársa January 22nd, 2008 7:26 AM

What Loquacity said. It allows CS Cross to technically be a CBCross with a speed boost. Only problem is the randomness of Sleep Talk, but it is still a great set, if your opponent has a sleep inducer that is... >_>

~T_S

Magmortified January 22nd, 2008 7:30 AM

I remember reading somewhere that Sleep Talk only works once per switch on a Pokemon with a Choice item, failing after that.

Although I could have misread it... or it could have just been entirely wrong.

Ársa January 22nd, 2008 7:33 AM

no, your source is wrong, I have used the set myself.

~T_S

Chompah :x January 22nd, 2008 9:22 PM

Hmmm...
I'm thinking of replace Hera w/ another phsyical sweeper, any sugestions??

Could this slot in?
[email protected] Orb
Mild
126 Atk 252 S.Atk 136 Speed/HP.
Roost
Brick break
Draco meteor
Fire blast.

daveyboy January 23rd, 2008 4:10 AM

umm if you dont want your snorlax to be destroyed by gengar i suggest you squeeze in crunch somehow, dont give it quake simply to help against rhyperior because after 3 curses snorlax probably still couldnt 2hko a standard rhyperior. i suggest chesto berry on it, only to get up an going after rest, you dont want to spend time cursing, use rest and sleep for 5 turns and die anyway

Chesto - Rest = Fail, Its not gonna be walling long without leftovers recovery, and if he doesnt run Earthquake, T-Tar and heatran switch in and say hi.

Bronzong takes out gengar.

daveyboy January 23rd, 2008 5:39 AM

lol, i do have experience with curselax . chesto rest is what i use and i think its the best option, bronzong takes gengar whatever, If you send lax in at the right time, it gets 2 curses, rests, and then is hard to beat, quake or no quake, leftovers i think is rubbish on it.

Leftovers always on walls and tanks, without leftovers to regain its health whilst its asleep and all the Stealth Rock, spikes and Sandstorm/Hail team about, it wont last long. You get to wake up once quickly, wow a one use item, where as leftovers will let you wall more effectively throughout the whole match.
