For Swellow, doesn't Burn decrease your Attack? It's a bit contradictory. =/
|
Guts cancels out burn's effect ^_^
I don't feel like rating the whole team but if a Heatran can switch into a Flare blitz it's gg. |
For Infernape here's my moveset, and he does pretty darn good.
Infernape @ Life Orb EVs: 252 Att, 252 Spd, 6 HP Blaze Jolly -Fire Punch -Thunderpunch -U-Turn -Close Combat U-Turn to get a hit on those psychic switch ins. And then leave... xD It's been working really well for me. |
I've never seen such a Heatran weak team in my life =0
What exactly is Flamethower on CB Ape going to do? Flare Blitz clearly outdamages it. Trace>Synchronize on Gardy. Any and all forms of Tyranitar rape this team btw. |
well heatran is not that big of a prob. gardevoir with trace walls it quite nicely. that gardevoir set is atrocious though.
|
Whats for Running Return on Swellow ...? Facade is so much better with Guts + Stab.

[email protected] Orb 252 Atk 252 Spd 6 HP Blaze Jolly Nature (+Spd -Sp.Atk) Fire Punch Thunderpunch Close Combat Fake Out << Can do a lot of damage with Life Orb. For your team, I think Ice Beam would go better on Articuno than HP Flying, and perhaps Haze in there somewhere. Brave Bird over Aerial Ace and Facade over Return for Swellow, and I think it's best to put Thunder wave on your Gardevoir, then drop the Speed EVs for Sp.Def EVs. |
ok flamethrower is for skarm obviuosley. with stab its ok. plus flare blitz is too much recoil.
ill put facade on swellow. and if anyone can give me a gardevoir set or a special sweeper that would go with this team nicely then that would be cool. |
Why have a mixed Infernape to lower all attacks potential damage just for a Skarmory. To have maximum attack and then Fire Punch is great. And you might want to consider Life Orb instead of Choice Band for those switch outs, if you can predict good, then Infernape will be amazing.
I'd suggest trading Gardevoir for Azelf. Azelf @ Expert Belt EVs: 252 Sp. Att, 252 Spd, 6 HP Levitate Timid -Nasty Plot -Flamethrower -Psychic -HP Fighting Works excellent for me. |

Also, leading with that infernape is a bad idea...Hippo is even more common than Gyarados and it will plain destroy you. Spikes over SR on Forry...then again, you don't have a ghost to block rapid spin, so w/e 252 HP / 96 Def / 160 SDef --> Better Articuno EVs. I've used a lot of spreads, this works the best for me... Could you please tell me how you plan to take stone edge from Choice Band Tyranitar? you don't have a rock resist...and that will give you trouble. Aero poses the same threat, though Forry actually has a shot at beating it out. then again, you lack gyro ball and a 50% chance to kill Aero isn't great. Doesn't matter though, as your Forry can't recover off damage and repeated switch-ins will wear it down too much. Heracross will destroy you if Cress or Forry goes down. If you lose Cress, it can just close combat you to high heavens. If you lose Forry, Megahorn will just eat your team alive. Eh, SpecsTres, though uncommon, will tear your team apart. When using articuno, you need something to sponge Fire hits from the likes of heatran, or you get destroyed. |

Yeah, you are kind of gengar weak. And nothing on this team can really do much to Mixpert. Metal Sound Heatran really does dent you, as does Scarf heatran if it gets a flash fire boost and gardevoir is dead. Also as previously stated, ALL forms of t-tar go hi. |
ok ima replace gardevoir for gar.
replace cressy for suicune. and since nobody likes my inferanpe ill just run regular mixape. |

|
MixApe's just the prefered moveset.
SD Infernape is actually the biggest Infernape threat, it's just people don't realize dat. |
NPApe with Close Combat is my fave, Nasty Plot up, Blissey comes in and BAM! Close Combat sends that thing bolting
[email protected] Orb/Focus Sash Naive Nature EVs: 40 Atk, 212 Sp Atk, 252 Spd -Close Combat -Nasty Plot -Flamethrower -Grass Knot |
ok now i nticed im bolt weak can anyone help me out with that?
|
I like your team, but get rid of flamethrower on your infernape and add fire blast or flare blitz. As for your articuno don't teach it roar, because there is no point for using that move unless you have some stragety up your sleeve that works...
|
Quote:
For the Bolt weak, just get a resist :0 |
like take out swello for chomp or a ground physical sweeper?
|
Quote:
Rhyinferior does the job okay, and solid rock makes ice attacks do lol damage, but Starmie will be trouble. Maggy works as well. |
how about if i scarf chomp?
if not then who's maggy? |
Quote:
Maggy is Magneton/Magnezone. |
ok ill go rhyperior.
does anyone have a set for him? |
Rhyinferior is like a more powerful CBtar minus pursuit...and it's a lot harder to switch in.
Rhyperior @ Choice Band ** Rhyinferior Trait: Solid Rock EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Earthquake - Stone Edge - Megahorn - Fire Punch / Avalanche / Ice Fang / Focus Punch Kewl set. But again, there really are better pokemon to take thunderbolts and crap. Swampert is one of the best IMO. |
