Its the Megatotallyhipfunkyawesome Midnight Winged Squad!!

Yes, the Megatotallyhipfunkyawesome Midnihgt Winged Squad. Fear them.

Porygon-Z-Choice Specs
Timid-252 Special Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP
Adaptability
Tri Attack
Ice Beam
Thunderbolt
Dark Pulse

34% Damage to a Blissey with Tri Attack, and 2HKO on Articuno. Oh yeah dont mess with my special sweeper.

Heracross-Choice Scarf
Adamant-252 Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP
Close Combat
Stone Edge
Megahorn
Aerial Ace

(Opposing HEracross are a problem, so Aerial Ace is there for them, its odd but works)

Salamence-Choice Band
Adamant-252 Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP
Dragon Claw
Earthquake
Stone Edge
Flamethrower

This thing purts the hurt on many opposing Pokemon, doesnt even matter what they are.

Articuno-Leftovers
Calm-252 HP, 96 Def, 160 SpDef
Roost
Ice Beam
HP Fire
Heal Bell

Special Wall, looking for EVs.

Donphan-Leftovers
Impish-252 HP, 180 Defense, 76 Attack
Ice Shard
Earthquake
Rapid Spin
Stealth Rock

Physical tanky thing

Cresselia-Leftovers
Bold-252 HP, 152 Def, 104 Special Defense
Moonlight
Ice Beam
Charge Beam
Thunder Wave

Mixed Wall

So yeah Im looking for big weaks and obvious changes that aren't really pointless.

Azonic January 21st, 2008 7:07 PM

I'd prefer Choice Scarf on Porygon-Z so it can outrun some really common threats like Weavile. Speaking of Weavile, you have a Weavile Weakness. And Heracross takes out two of your walls. Dusknoir can also harm your team a bit too. I'd prefer Pursuit over Aerial Ace on Hera.

Edit: I get Neko. -pulls-

Ársa January 21st, 2008 7:18 PM

Didn't he just say that he had Aerial Ace to take care of opposing Heracross? That is like saying to take something away, so you can fix it again, but in a different way. o.0

Mega Weavile weak, as Azonic said, the only thing that can beat it is Heracross, and if Weavile is running Focus Sash you're screwed. (Counter Sash = Death also, as well as a Ice Punch / Ice Shard Weavile)

I would prefer HP Fighting over Dark Pulse, but I suppose this is a wifi team, so it might be hard to breed for it, unless you try. (Any that would limit your Spd, Sp. Def and Sp. Atk to 30 IV's Max, or else no HP Fighting) Basically, you choose.

Cresselia-Leftovers
Bold-252 HP, 152 Def, 104 Special Defense (???)
Rest
Psychic
Charge Beam
Thunder Wave

STAB with the Psychic, or else Mix-Ape gives you troubles. Rest over Moonlight because these days all of those field conditions and Moonlight = Phail. :(

Run Lum Berry if you're worried about Rest, but I wouldn't.

Donphan-Leftovers
Impish-252 HP, 220 Defense, 36 Attack
Ice Shard
Earthquake
Rapid Spin
Stealth Rock

Fine, but 36 Atk EV's ensures a 1HKO on Garchomp, hence the other Atk EV's aren't really needed, as Earthquake still hits Vire for 1HKO, among the other threats. The other Atk EV's should be plunged into defense. ;)

Ok, sorry I didn't quote and bold like normal, but I wasn't going to rate as much as comment on Azonic. Oh well. :)

Dark Pulse hits Cresselia, Dusknoir, Gengar, etc. hard, its a pretty big necessity. And Im thinking Articuno replaces Blissey, since Ive seen Articuno in action, and he isnt afraid of Weavile. Oly problem is Ice Beam doesnt get Weavile very hard...

Ársa January 21st, 2008 8:11 PM

What is the standard Cuno set?

~T_S

Eos Aduro January 21st, 2008 8:15 PM

Ice Beam, Roost, Roar, Heal Bell. I suppose Roar could turn into HP Flying or something.

Ársa January 21st, 2008 8:20 PM

Or HP Fire. That takes care of Skarmory / Forretress and Weavile, among others.

~T_S

Eos Aduro January 21st, 2008 8:21 PM

Hmm, another fire move would be nice, I'll ry that out, oh wait I need Anti-Pops Evs, I need to go on an Ev hunt.

Ársa January 21st, 2008 8:24 PM

lol, I'm pretty sure he got them straight from Smogon, just don't tell him I said that....

34% Damage on Blissey is nothing that can't be fixed by a Softboiled. Or were you just using that as an example? The Nasty Plot set is better on Porygon-Z in my opinion.

You might want to put Fire Blast over Flamethrower on Mence to help make up for the negative nature and no EV support.

Ársa January 22nd, 2008 7:40 AM

Flamethrower is there soley for Skarmory and Forretress etc. Mence is able to 1HKO them with that set, so no need to take anything out of the other EV's, it works fine.

Nasty Plot + Porygon-Z = Phail :(

Choice Specs is there for a reason. P-Z is too frail. 34% on Bliss is better than 12%... Tri Attack allows for Status. Freeze it and you can KO Bliss. Specs >> Nasty Plot :D

Skarmory's a 2HKO. But Fire Blast does more damage to other things if you mispredict.

If you get it against something that'll switch out it's more powerful than Choice Specs.

ABYAY January 22nd, 2008 11:37 AM

I only see Nasty Plot and Pory-Z going together when a Togekiss Baton Pass is on the team.

Specs-Z has given me trouble, but Scarf-Z has done much more to me. It's not fun to get nearly swept by one when you have a Plot Toge with you.

Flamethrower with Adamant Mence seems a little bleh, but that's me. Lonely or Naughty in my opinion will work. Otherwise, use Fire Blast to make up for the lost power.

Hera-countering Heracross... that's fine with me. I gotta assemble a Hera-counter myself.

Cressy... I hate that thing so much! X_X 2 hour stall war with that thing is not fun. I can't critique that.

Arty I have no experience with. That's up to everyone else.

Weavile poses somewhat of a problem, but that's it. in my eyes.

Adaptability
Tri Attack

YES! I know I've done my job promoting cuno when people are bragging about their sweeper beating it! Modest will do you a lot better though. Powerrrrrrrrrr.

Heracross-Choice Scarf
Adamant-252 Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP
Close Combat
Stone Edge
Megahorn
Aerial Ace

(Opposing HEracross are a problem, so Aerial Ace is there for them, its odd but works)

That'll do.

Salamence-Choice Band
Adamant-252 Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP
Dragon Claw
Earthquake
Stone Edge
Flamethrower / Aerial Ace

This thing purts the hurt on many opposing Pokemon, doesnt even matter what they are.

I've found aerial ace way cool on CBmence this gen.

Articuno-Leftovers
Calm-252 HP, 96 Def, 160 SpDef
Roost
Ice Beam
Roar / Reflect
Heal Bell

Special Wall, looking for EVs.

EVs are good...but what in the world is HP Fire for? Forry can't beat an Articuno unless it blows up (I AM considering Gyro Ball when I say this) and Skarm takes a huge hit from Ice Beam...it's 137.5 base power with STAB, only 2.5 points below HP fire.

And actually, Smogon's EVs for Articuno suck. I tried them and they sucked >.> I made this spread for max lefties recovery and 160 Def (150 works as well). You can survive a few Fire Fangs from a Garchomp even...that's plain cool =D

Donphan-Leftovers
Impish-252 HP, 180 Defense, 76 Attack
Ice Shard
Earthquake
Rapid Spin
Stealth Rock

Physical tanky thing

I guess.

Cresselia-Leftovers
Bold-252 HP, 152 Def, 104 Special Defense
Moonlight / Rest
Ice Beam
Charge Beam
Thunder Wave

Physical Sweeper...g37 17 r1gH7!!!11one1!!1!11

Needs more rest IMO...and considering donphan lacks any means of recovery, reflect would probably be necessary as well.

So yeah Im looking for big weaks and obvious changes that aren't really pointless.

Looking through it further, the Mence/Donphan combo wall Heracross fine, probably use night slash or pursuit on your Hera over AA.

HP Flying is really fail on Articuno BTW

For the record, I only use Smogon as a reference, I never make blind copies from it. EDIT: and Smogon is not the place to go for Mantine or Articuno, believe me. Their EVs were just no...

So not true lol. Even 76 EVs don't guarantee a 1HKO. He should be able to 2HKO.

Ársa January 23rd, 2008 6:00 PM

I knew it was either all, I must have remembered wrong. O_O

I was tired then, it was something like 1 in the morning.

Who is Beelane LOL January 23rd, 2008 6:49 PM

What defense does your team have against, say, a Lapras with Ice Beam other than Porygon Z's Thunderbolt?

Ársa January 23rd, 2008 6:51 PM

Other than Cresselia and Articuno??? o.0

~T_S

Eos Aduro January 23rd, 2008 6:52 PM

Well that would be an odd find, but Heracross can Close Combat, Cresselia would eat up its attacks and use Charge Beam, and Salamence can Dragon Claw it which will deal a ton of damage, so yeah quitw a bit.

luke January 23rd, 2008 7:06 PM

Lapras? Seriously? Lapras is far from a threat to any team. Except maybe like a Fire-type team. o.O

Who is Beelane LOL January 23rd, 2008 7:06 PM

Ah, I am so far behind on all of this Advanced Gen. stuff.

I'm just now trying to get into the Ruby gen, haha but I'm really good with first gen...

Can someone like, idk tutor me on EVs and shit?

Eos Aduro January 23rd, 2008 7:08 PM

Well thats kind of... yeah, you;re good with first and second gen, we deal mostly in fourth around here, and go arouns Simple Q & A for EV help.
