Pokemon: Operation Gemstone --

4 Attachment(s)
An Old Game Project that I want to bring back, but not without help. I'm looking for a dedicated team of Chipset and Charaset Makers, and people who can run Beta Testing. But Enough about that.

Operation Gemstone

- I just want to say that This project has been through so much, it's fully developed, developed Characters, Storyline, Maps, and what not.

This Game is Laced in with Final Fantasy 8 and 9. Let me Explain what it's about.

Pokemon Gemstone (Operation Gemstone; Diamond Adventures; Pokemon Ancient Revival) is a never-ending project, at first it was a hack made by Dizzy and Pika2, then turned into a Fan-Fiction, then into a Game-Illustrated Story, and now a Real RM2K Game.

You Play as Three Character's so you go through 3 Different Stories (like in Final Fantasy)

January D'Ariane

January D'Ariane, is the niece of Clair, she has just moved to the new land of Gemaetus. At her Trainer's Academy, she isn't really known, and to make things worse, the Elite Four are now Punishing the Land of Gemaetus(or the people who don't take care of their pokemon properly--Manga Storyline :)) Clair Decides that January should journey across the land of Gemaetus to the City of Starstone, and defeat the Elite Four before it is too late. You can't do it alone though, with the help of your Starter, Given to you by Clair (you can pick three different ones, I'll Have Jolteon, Flareon and Vaporeon) you must journey around this country and defeat the Gym Leaders, who are plotting to destroy the Human Race!

Gustave del Mar

Prince Gustave, Son of the Royal Wallace del Mar (Wallace from Hoenn is now Royalty in Gemaetus) Has just turned 14, and will now Venture to Hoenn to claim his right as Gym leader of Sootopolis City. The Law has changed however, he won't be able to leave the Country unless he destroy's the Elite Four. He can't do this though. One Night he sneaks over to Professor Gemma's Lab, and Steals His Starter (You'll be able to pick). The Same Night, he gets on a Small Rickety Boat and sails to a Small Island. The Next Day, The Elite Four is out to get Gustave, so Until he get's to Hoenn, he will never be Safe. Can you Help him Escape?

Darius La Fin

Son of the Mysterious "Green" La Fin, Darius has been abandoned in the Metropolis of Diamond. Before his father left, he left him his one Prized Pokemon... (Surprise!), You are Safe for a while, until you get downhill to the Lab. Unfortunately, the Bridge is closed, you must continue your Journey. One Day, The Elite Four Decides to take away your father's Prized Pokemon, You are left with nothing, but a Mysterious Black Pokeball. Whatever's inside it will help you conquer your way to the Elite Four and Destroy them, Only then will you be able to be Reunited with your Father, and Your Pokemon. Can You Accomplish That?

Everyone has a Different Starting Point, but they are all located before the Gym. Different Features will come to Different Players, however, It's up to you what feature what Character Gets.

Here's a List of Items you WILL Get

- Backpack (each player get's a different Design)
- Radio (Exclusive Device you can get anywhere)
- Cell Phone/E-Mail Reciever (Unless you got the money, you don't got this -_-)
-Car Keys (Another thing you'll need money for)

Many Many More

NOw I shall shut up, and show you The Screenshots :)

Sorye HK July 11th, 2004 12:22 AM

The screens look good and have made me gain some
interest in this project. Looking forward to a great piece
of work, Dizzy!

Brushfire0605 July 11th, 2004 9:52 AM

hey dizzy awesome storyline & screens. i have a question though. are those coastal towns? because the water should be like the ocean water. but other than that everything is great, i like the multiple player/ storylines

Dizzy July 11th, 2004 11:14 AM

Yes, there are Coastal towns, On the Other Side of the Continent, half of it is submerged underwater, so you may walk into a town that sits on top of Sticks, sort of like Fortree City, but in the water ;)

Brushfire0605 July 11th, 2004 1:34 PM

cool i get it now thanks.
ill help with beta testing if you want dizzy. I can help with anything else too if you want. if you need help with maps, i can do that. ill post some i made if u like

Dizzy July 11th, 2004 2:36 PM

Hold Up, this so isn't the way I wanted it to go. Beta Testing should be a privelige, First, I need a team to help me with stuff, without a team, you could say good bye to Beta.

PKMN_Sage July 11th, 2004 9:13 PM

Looks like it's coming along very well. Keep it up! :)

RM2K3kid July 12th, 2004 12:02 AM

I would like to help maybe programming or map making(One of my favorites is map making)! And what do you mean by
Quote:

I'm looking for a dedicated team of Chipset and Charaset Makers
If you mean rip the chips and charsets from fr/lg I'm your man! If you mean editing the characters and making new maps I'm not good at it! But I can recolor charsets if needed!

Dizzy July 12th, 2004 2:43 PM

Thank You for your offer, rm2k3kid, I'd appreciate it if you would help me :)

RM2K3kid July 12th, 2004 11:16 PM

I'll be glad to help just tell me what you would like me todo!

Dizzy July 16th, 2004 5:28 PM

Well my game must not be interesting -_-

RM2K3kid July 16th, 2004 8:12 PM

People haven't posted because you have updated or shown new screens in a while... Anyway do you need a hand with anything in your game?

Dizzy July 16th, 2004 10:37 PM

I don't even know if I'm going to have a game at the rate this is going...

Sorye HK July 17th, 2004 3:44 AM

It doesn't exactly matter how fast progress is.
Take Pokemon Ice for example. It's been about a year
since production, but people are still showing enthusiasm.
Just take the project at your own pace and show us
some screens and stuff when you're ready.

Dawson July 17th, 2004 4:15 AM

Pokemon Ice? Is that an RM2K game? Anyway Daegon and rm2k3kid are right, you can't expect people to keep posting about the same information again and again. You have to show newer things to get people interested more.

Sorye HK July 17th, 2004 4:59 AM

No. Ice is a pokemon hack made by Pika2. It's one of
those hacks that look really promising. Let's get back
on topic.

Dizzy July 17th, 2004 12:47 PM

Update Update

I'll add some screenshots later :)

Dizzy has made the Pokemon Gemstone Tour Guide, for your reading ;), Please Read, and once the screenshots are made, I'll post them up

Pokémon Gemstone Reader’s Manual v1

In The Land of Gemaetus, lies a legend of creatures named Pokemon. It is up to you, the Protagonist to stop the Enslavement of these Creatures. Uncover the Legends of the world by exploring it, unfold your own Pokemon Journey.

Exploring the World Of Gemaetus, Tour Guide I

The Continent of Gemaetus lies south of Kanto, nearing west of the Orange Isles. It is somewhat of an Islandic Region, but has it’s own Mainland. Surrounding Isles will be uncovered somewhere along your Journey, We shall Record them as you go along.

Emerald Town – Emerald Town is a small, quiet town located in Central Gemaetus. It is known for it’s greenery and fresh air, like it’s sister Verdanturf Town of Hoenn. The Continent’s Professor Resides in the hills of this Quiet town, and cares for many pokemon that are native to the Land. Here, in Emerald Town, is where you start your Journey as the Greatest Master of all.

Route 305 – Route Three Hundred and Five, is located to the east of little Emerald town. Many Lower Leveled Pokemon live in this area, which is the perfect spot to Battle your pokemon. Here, on this route, you will see your first Registration House. The Registration house will ready you for your elite four and gym leader challenges. You can also register for some special events and possibly contests.

Onyx Town – Located to the East of Emerald Town, Sits the Peaceful Onyx Town, Hurdled Between the Tourmaline Mountains and the Safiela River. It is a very old Town, known for the Gemaetan Travel Agency, which can get you anywhere be it Land, sea, Air or Matter. Your Sister Also lives here, she works as a Pokemon Pharmacist for an Unknown Organization. From this Town you may either Venture North, to where you’d get somewhere, or to the West, where you will have to wait to Cross the Deluge of the Safiela River.

Route 306 – Known as the Route that Stretches over the Mountains, Venturing through 306 aka Tourmaline way will get you across One Sect of the Tourmaline Mountains, until you are able to Venture Through them on your own. Nothing really Special here except the Pokemon Trainer’s Alliance which is located in the beginning of the route. Other than that, It’s important to get you through the Continent.

Opal Town – Famed as a Larger, Mountainous Town, Opal Town is a very great City. On Every Corner, people will be trying to sell your Jewelry, be it Gems for you or your Pokemon, or A Hold Item. Precious Gems Lie South towards the Mountains. At the End of the Town there is a Pokemon Contest Hall for Beginners whom plan to enter in the Contest. Towards the other end of Town, Lies The Opalian Palace, an Art Museum dedicated to all of Gemaetus.

Route 307 – A Special Route to the North of Opal Town. This Route can bring you to two different Locations if you use your wit. If you move to the West, it will take you Amethyst City as well as Crystal Park. But if you move to the East, it will take you to the Crystal Shopping Center, and Darkstone City.

Amethyst City – This City is the City of Nature, Turning it self into a Large Zoo and National Park. It is also home to the Pokemon Academy, which is known for making good students. And believe it or not, this is where the First Gym Lies, Who’s Gym Leader, Glaciana awaits for an Icy Challenge. Travel to the West and you will find the Crystal Park.

Crystal Park – Crystal Park is a Wonderous Park, almost like a Small Town May it be. Pokemon may be caught here, and it is home to the Second Contest Hall. You may Also Challenge other Trainer’s at the Park Battle Grounds to strengthen yourself.

Crystal Shopping Center - Known for the Lovely Department Stores and Pokemon Grooming Facilities, The Shopping Center is definitely a valuable place. You can find almost anything, and do anything you’d like to, only at the Crystal Shopping Center.

Darkstone City – The City of Festivities, Darkstone City seems to be engulfed in an Eternal Night, making it a perfect place for Special Events, such as the Pokemon Circus, or the Shaman. Here is where the Grand Darkstone Casino, a wealthy gamespot lies, as well as The Gemaetus Radio/TV Station. Many Broadcasts are made from this Location. You only have one way to go from here, and that’s east, to the Port of Peridot Town, Where your Next Gym Challenge Lies.

Route 308 – Linking Darkstone and Peridot, Route 308 is another place you can hunt for Pokemon, maybe you’ll even find Special Pokemon, seeing that the Weather Acts up The More North you go.

Peridot Town –A Port Town Surrounded by Lush Trees and Warm Weather. The Waterfront is a great Spot to be when you need to go Shopping, You could always Catch a ride to the Other Ports of SapphireBay and AquamarineHarbor. Or you could Move More North to the More Quiet Areas, where the Gym sits, for your next Gym Challenge. The Leader, Florinda, is bound to have you stay in her Garden Walkway, where she Challenges you to the Floral Fray. You have many choices while staying in Sunny Peridot Town, you could Leave to the West, Sail to The other Ports, The Choice is yours.

Route 309 – Route 309 is totally surrounded by rivers and hills, and of course, pokemon, you could Cross the River Diamond to get other to the Diamond Metropolis, or you could Go Upstream for a very meager price to the Water Pokemon Resort, Located just across the Delta.

The Water Pokemon Resort – If you need to take a break from your trip, just stop by the Water Pokemon Resort, you can catch water Pokemon, have fun in the Hotel, swim in the Pool…Or Challenge the other Trainers! You’ll never know what to expect.

The Diamond Metropolis – The Capital of all Gemaetus, This is the Largest City on the Whole Continent. You can find anything here, Shopping centers, malls, or Pokemon Gyms, even Unofficial ones. The Official Gym, and it’s leader, Jade, all train Rock-type Pokemon. The Un-official Gym types may Vary. There is a Train Station, that can get you to your Farthest Destinations, be it in Kanto or Johto. You’ll always be satisfied at the Diamond Ristoraunte, a fine Restaurant where you’re able to Dine with your friends, and your Pokemon Of course. Just Visit the Grand City!

The Rock Tunnel – Connects the central Point of Gemaetus with the Western parts of the Region, Lots of Pokemon can be found in this area. Rock and Ground types can be found. If you go really deep underground, you can get to special locations.

Garnet Desert – Known as the Crimson Desert also, The Garnet Desert is known for it’s Reddish-Purple Sand, and its Pokemon, Ground types are the most common, followed by some Flying types. Water Types are a Rarity if you find the Oasis. Strange Enough, this is where you meet the 3rd Gym leader whom will show you the arts of mastering Ground-Type Pokemon. Only then, will you gain passage to your next town.

Garnet Town – A Large Marketish Town filled with Old Buildings from Earlier Eras. It is home to the Gemaetus-West Station. There is an Abandoned Gym here but you already know of the Gym Leader. Upon coming to this town, you can only go one way to leave, and that’s West, to the Wetlands of Citrine Valley.

Route 311 – A Large Route, that divides into two Companies. Along the Western Route, Along the banks of the Citrine River sits the Citrine Jungle is where you will end up near, as with the Northern Route, the Citrine Valley is where you shall end up. Either way you’ll end up at Citrine City one way or another.

Citrine Jungle – Upon coming near the River, there you meet the Citrine Jungle, a tropical place that marks the Entrance into the Tropic of Westia. Home to Many Pokemon, Of many Different Types sits the beautiful Landmarks, and here lay Ruins, Of Temples of Pokemon. Upon Escaping the Jungle Fever you’ll be brought to the Modern Cite of Citrine.

Citrine Valley – Taking the Highlands shall bring you to The Valley of Citrine. Like it’s Lowly Partner, the Valley isn’t home to many pokemon, but to Many Commercial Enterprises, Such as The Gemaetus Gemery or the Silver Swablu Pokeball Corp. Upon depressing into the Flat, Green Earth, you come across the Cite of Citrine.

Citrine City – The Lovely City of the West, Citrine City is a Commercial City that Draws tourists to it by having natural splendors prepared for the people. It is home to one of many Pokemon Breeders, and is the Location of the Pokemon Breeder’s Society. After looking around the City, you’ll be allowed to cross the river to the older quarter of the City, where your 4th gym sits, and its leader, the master of the Flares, Pyran, waits for your battle.

Route 315 — Upon leaving the older part of the City, you come to the Route 315, a route that splits into three parts. Going South will send you to the SapphireHarbor, a City known for its prime sands and beaches. Going a little west, you’ll find your self nearing Topaz Town, and January Snowfield. Totally going north will send you to Blue Topaz Town, which is known for its perfect weather.

Southern Path –Going South will bring you to the Southern Path, a Pathway that will depress you to the Train Stations of Gemaetus. Since its really far to walk from SapphireHarbor, you can take a train for fast arrival. You can walk if you want though.

SapphireHarbor –A Grand Seaside City, Arranged on hills, there isn’t one flat area in the whole city, except the beaches and the port
