How To Clone Pokemon In Diamond And Pearl ( A Serious Glitch In The Game)

How To Clone Pokemon ( A Serious Glitch In The Game)

Note: To Clone An item Make the pokemon you are going to clone hold that particular item.

Step 1

First, you must goto Jubilife City. In the city, report directly to the
Poke'Center(Red Roof). Go west from Poke'Center. You should be walking
through what looks somewhat like a alley. Continue walking left until you
see a building. Enter the building. As soon as you enter, you should see a
spinning globe on the left side of the building. Talk to the girl at the desk.
She will ask if you would like to connect to the
Global Trading Station. As you might have guessed. Select, "yes".

Step 2

After logging into the Global Trading Station. You should be logged into it's
main menu. You will see 3 options: Deposit Pokemon, Seek Pokemon,
and Exit. Select Deposit Pokemon. And since this is your first time
preforming this glitch, use a Pokemon that has no value of any kind.
Example: Bidoof, Starly, Shinx, Etc.

After you have selected your desired Pokemon, it will then ask
you what you want for it. You need to always select a Pokemon Lv. 100
or higher. And always choose a Pokemon that no one would
bother keeping. Pokemon from the Kanto region are alot more safer
to ask for.
Example: Pidgey, Ratata, Caterpie, Weedle, Etc.

Step 3

Now don't think its over yet. You only completed the "EASY" part of the
glitch.

Once you have deposited your Pokemon up for trade, you will find a
Loading Screen. It would say:
"Checking GTS's Status.....".
And if you look on the Right Side of that box. You will find a clock. As you
might have guessed, the clock is what resembles that your game is
loading. Well, this little clock here is the key to duplicating your
Pokemon successfully.

Alright now the objective here is to shut your DS off 1 clock tick before
the loading completes.
Yes it may sound easy, but its not! The loading time completes at
random times. So it doesn't always finish loading at the same time
it did last time. But if you don't want to find yourself in frustration trying
to complete the glitch. Then I would suggest what I call:
"The 8th Spin Method".

Ok lets get started. We are going to try "The 8th Spin Method" together.
As soon as you enter the Loading Screen, you will see the Clock Hand
rotating around clockwise. Always count 1 Rotation whenever the
Clock Hand reaches the top of the clock. NOT from where it first
started. You want your Clock to go around 8 Times.
On the 8th spin, SHUT YOUR DS OFF.

If your Clock doesn't go around 8 Rotations the first time.
Please Continue Reading. If it does,
and you have successfully turned your DS Off as soon as the Clock Hand
reached it's 8th Rotation, then jump over to Step 4.
You will be redirected to the main menu. The Menu should now read:
Summary, Seek Pokemon, and Exit.
Select the Summary.
You will see that your Pokemon is now Deposited in the
Global Trading Center.
Just hit the "A" Button and it will ask you if you want to Take
Back your Pokemon, or if you would like to leave it as is.
Select Take Back.
Your Pokemon should now be traded back to your Game.
Once you receive your Pokemon back. You have to attempt
"The 8th Rotation Method" again. Just keep trying to get it to
Rotate around 8 Times. You will get it eventually.

Step 4

Once you have successfully completed "The 8th Spin Method"
turn your DS back on.
Select your Pokemon Diamond/Pearl Game.
Once you press start you will receive a error message:
"Your file has been corrupted. Previous file will be loaded".

Don't worry, this is normal. Your file is safe because of the
Double Saving Feature.

Enter the game like you normally would.
If you have completed the glitch correctly, you will see yourself
walking out of the GTS Door.

Talk to the girl at the counter again.
Connect to the Global Trading Station as you have in Step 1.
You are logging back in to check if you have completed the glitch succesfuly.

Step 5

When you reach the Global Station's Main Menu, you will have to go through
2 simple tests in determining whether the glitch was a success.
If done correctly, you should have 1 Pokemon in your Box/Party, and the
other Pokemon waiting in the Global Trading Station waiting for your to
retrieve it.

Test-1
The first option in your menu should read: "Summary". If it does, retrieve
your Pokemon back into your game(You might wanna do this quickly, so
that others would'nt trade for it) by simply selecting "Summary".
Then hit the "A" Button and select "Take Back".
If it reads "Deposit" instead of "Summary". Then the glitch was a failure.

Test2
Once retrieving your Pokemon back from the Global Trading Station.
Log out to complete your final test in determining whether you have
completed the glitch succesfuly. After logging out of the
Global Trading Station. Look through your Party/Box to see if the
Pokemon you duplicated from is still there. If it is, you have succesfully
completed the duplication glitch!!

Step 6

This is the simplest yet most important step. Save!!

If your DS doesn't make it to the 8th spin:

Before Reading:

============================================================
Preventing Your Pokemon from being Traded:

Follow these 5 easy steps. And your Pokemon will be less likely to be traded.

Step 1

Never, I repeat, NEVER ask for a Legendary Pokemon. Why you ask?
If you had a Hacking Device, lets say in this case, Action Replay.
What Pokemon would you attempt to go after first? Legendaries!!
So if you ask for a Legendary Pokemon,
the chances of your Pokemon being traded during the process is very high!

Step 2

Choose a Pokemon that no one would have.
Example: Bidoof, Starly, Shinx, Ect.

Step 3

Selecting a Common Pokemon from the Kanto Region will help alot.
Since not everyone has completed they're National Poke'dex yet.
This helps because you can only seek for Pokemon that you've SEEN.

Step 4

Do not ask for a Pokemon level 9 and under. ALWAYS ask for level 100.
You may think that your Pokemon cannot be traded for a
Level 9 and under Sandlash, because its just impossible. Sorry to say,
but your wrong. Nothing is impossible for when it comes to Hacks.
Tests show that more people loose their Pokemon from asking for a
Level 9 and under, rather then a level 100.
And even if your Pokemon does get traded during the Process.
Think about it, what would you rather have? A level 9 and Under
Pokemon, or a level 100?

Step 5

To reduce the chances of your Pokemon being traded even more,
is by specifying your Gender. This will reduce your Pokemon from
being traded by 50%.

This is OLD!

MegaMushroom07 January 27th, 2008 3:40 AM

Already in FAQ, sorry.

Nobody can get banned from the GTS. There would be mass-controversy.

Replying with "this is old" isn't helpful either, but, yes, this is already in the FAQ as it has been known for a while already.
