Honey Trees

in sinnoh there are alot of honey trees which have alot of rare pokemon in them but you have to wait 10 ours which is annoying because you might have a problem woudn't it be easier to havelike headbut ike on pokemon gold/silver/crystal?

some pokemon in honey trees:

aipom,
munchlax,
cherubi,
burmy,
wurmple
and more

Virtual Headache February 15th, 2008 5:57 AM

Yes, it certainly would.
And you don't have to wait 10 hours, 6 hours is enough...

smile! February 15th, 2008 6:36 AM

Yeah, headbutt is definitely more useful than Honey Trees, furthermore the Pokemon which fell are asleep..
And I do hate it when I'm anticipating Heracross, Combee, or maybe even Munchlax, when suddenly
..
BAM! That hideous Wurmple showed up.. After 9 hours, too. It's just so... frustrating.

Shadowthinker February 15th, 2008 11:53 PM

I know the only Pokemon I have evr found is a male Combee, Burmy and Cherubi

Pokepal2007 February 16th, 2008 1:38 AM

i cant even find them lol

Is there any trick to getting Munchlax? I don't feel like taking the time to breed a Snorlax with full incense...

Allow me to put things into perspective.

A while ago, for about a week or two, I farmed the Honey Trees like mad. There were about ten trees that I consistently used. Three times, every day, I would put honey on all ten trees. And three times every day, I checked those trees. Now, let's do the math.

10 Trees x 3 times a day = 30 Tree Battles a Day.

30 Battles x ~10 days = 300 total battles.

And in that time frame, I had never so much as seen a Munchlax. Trust me, it's easier to breed for it.

Pokepal2007 February 16th, 2008 12:56 PM

wow that is a good trick :)

Shiny February 17th, 2008 1:30 AM

I understand where your coming from, I mean I hate Wurmple too so they should raise the chance of getting a different pokemon other than Wurmples XD

I just want you to know that I hate you. :P

Also, the Canalave tree was one of the ten trees I used.

Pokepal2007 February 23rd, 2008 11:33 AM

can you change your ds time to make the pokemon quicker or will it just go extremely slow instead?

i just wait for a pokemon to come instead of changing the time. it probably wont make much of a difference.

In that case it doesn't work, you need to wait 6 hours, but it's not that long IMO. Just turn off your game and do something else in the meantime and be sure to put honey on as many trees as possible, so you don't have to wait too often.

super onii chan February 23rd, 2008 3:26 PM

well the tree i use was caveland, but i dont have good luck i havent got a shiny yet my chain high is 32 so lol

FourFourTwo February 23rd, 2008 4:54 PM

Whoever caught an Aipom... What tree was it on? If I can get this information, I'd really appreciate it.

I think it can be any tree, IIRC the only Pokemon which appears on a special tree is Munchlax.
Anyway, I remember catching an Aipom on a tree to the left of the Pokemon mansion.

FourFourTwo February 23rd, 2008 5:01 PM

Thats where I've been slathering. Damn. All I've gotten were silcoons and wurmples.

Thanks for the info, I thought maybe aipom was like munchlax

Dave-o-rama February 23rd, 2008 5:05 PM

the way i got munchlax was by breeding snorlax with a full insence...
and i think i saw an aipom in a honey tree on route 214, but i could be wrong.
check it out, maybe im right.

Perfectionist February 23rd, 2008 5:06 PM

Personally I think that headbutt was a better concept, but I still enjoy putting my honey on a tree and luring in pokemon!
But I don't think it matters how long it is on the tree, just random...

TerranRevirell February 23rd, 2008 9:07 PM

I thought it was the tree near Valley Windworks that gave you a Munchlax... Hmmm... lots of rumors as to how to catch Munchlax, I guess...

Gymnotide February 23rd, 2008 9:52 PM

Valley Windworks and around allows you to find Munchlax, as well as Combee.
Aipom is easily found just west of Sunyshore or near Hearthome, I've found.

If you reset your DS clock, you need to wait another 24 hours.

umbros February 24th, 2008 6:38 AM

I had no problem with catching Aipom. Mine popped up next to the pokemon mansion, and I think also in the tree west of Sunnyshore. Now it's a level 91 Ambipom. Hooray for occasionally getting a tm26 with pickup.
