Poffins.
Alright, here's my deal. I'm typically a battler, and I don't really get that into pokemon contests. But, I will eventually need to get the ribbons at some point, and more importantly, I have several Feebas that could use evoving. What kinds of berries make the best Poffins for different traits? I know that I'm looking for dry for beauty, spicy for cool, etcetera. I mean specific berries. I don't really want to put in lots of time and effort, just to find out that some of the berries I picked aren't the right choices.
So, I'm asking here, where I figure at least a few of you are into the contests, and must know what gets the best effects. My Feebas and I will thank you, as well. |
I've actually never done contests, but you can always look at a berry's Tag to see what stat(s) it raises, and by how much.

Specifically Feebas, you can use Wiki berries to evolve them.
I've tried them with both a Modest and Bold, I'm not sure if it'll work with a dry-disliking nature (but why would you have one of those? :P ). I'm 100% certain though, that you can use Wiki's for evolving Feebas's either liking or neutral to dry poffins. I used all 20+ lvl. poffins, but they aren't hard to make. I think lvl 20 is average, I made them alone. I heard Pamtre works well for Beauty too. I noticed berries have 'shape groups,'(I made that up), you probably have too; on the 'check tag' option for berries, there are groups of berries that have the same shape on the chart, just rotated / affect different things. So, if you can max out Beauty with Wikis, you should be able to max out another trait (don't know what they're called) with the appropriate berry from the same 'shape group.' Of course, using those berries will fill the Sheen bar, so... This method will only max out one 'trait.' |
umm
I did this a million times. the best berry to use is Apicot; unfortunately it only can be obtained through Pokemon Colluseum, then Migrated to Ruby/Saphire etc. Then Migrate once more i would assume. The second best is Wiki berry; This one is your best bet..
I used it. took 11 poffins and one quick level. Then Pamtre if you cannot find either of the other two listed. And if you want a GOOD Milotic. I would grab a male corsola and breed it with a female feebas. Make sure the corsola is lvl 48 and has mirror coat. then it will be transfered to the Feebas. It's a good ability to have. Bold is also a good nature for Milotic. Make sure your Feebas has that nature before you load the wrong one with poffins. Good luck |
If you need any poffins pm me i can do 15 for free

Hey, thanks everyone for helping me out. I actually forgot to check this thread for a few days, and then I got all this at once. Very helpful.

you can't attach them to Pokemon, you can trade over a Pokemon that has had Poffin fed to them and trade it back though :t354:TG |
personally, i just give em a whole bunch of sitrus and oran... theyve got pretty big trait boosts in 4/5 of the traits, and are cheap and common. sitrus' do take a while to grow tho. i wouldnt bother using the onces that take away from stats unless you plan to use that poke only for contests...
