just wanna make sure I'm doing this right.

when I EV train, I level my pokemon up to lvl 35, then I pack it up with the steroids. I give it 2 for each stat, fight 8 bidoof, 8 geodude, and 8 bibarel, if I'm not leveled up yet, I'll battle a pokemon my level, and it should go up an extra 4 points for each stat right?
4 pokemon = 1 EV stat right?

No, 1 poke=1 ev point, 4 ev points =+1 stat
Also, bibarel gives 2 ev points

Not true. Pokemon give EV points varyingly. The main way it's done is like this, but there are some exceptions (like pokemon who dont evolve)

Stage 1 (Starly, Shinx, Ralts, etc) = 1 EV point in whichever stat they raise.
Stage 2 (Staravia, Luxio, Kirlia, etc) = 2 EV points in whichever stat.
Stage 3 (Staraptor, Luxray, Gardevoir/Gallade) = 3 EV points in whichever stat.

thanks, this helps me a lot. I'm gonna fight a ton of stage 2's and 3's then.

Sorry i forgot to mention its not just 1 and 2 EVs, some give more. I believe there is someone on victory road who has 3 crobat after a few battles with the vs seeker which is good for speed training

Let me clarify EV training. Simply put:
- 4 EVS=1 Actual Stat Point
- Each Stat can have a max of 255 EV's
-You can only Distribute 510 EVs, after then it will be maxed
- For Example if you want it to be a Physical Sweeper
252 Attack 252 Speed 4 Hp
- 252/4= 63 Stat Points ( Which is the Max total Possible for
- For faster training I recomend the Power Items In Battle Park which can be bought for 15 BP points each. It gives an extra 3 EVs per Pokemon defeated.
So If you defeat a magikarp instead of giving 1 Speed EV it gives out 4 Speed Evs, thus you only have to kill 63 magikarp to get 63 Speed Evs.
- Pokemons stats are limited to their base stats and there Indiviual values which are unchangeble and Varie among pokemon.

Also take note that If you have rare candies it is possible to rare candy them to 90 then Max there Evs then. You will still retain max stats possible so don't worry about it. Also that nature contributes to a 10% gain and drop in the stat so like if your pokemon is Adamant, instead of 300 Att by Lvl 100 it may give about 330 which can give a big difference. But be aware it also drops a natture by 10% like in Adamant it drops Speacial Attack.

Hope this helps out for those of you who don't understand EV training.

Well, almost none of this is new to me, as of right now I'm EV training my Haunter, but one thing. The first post here said you have to start at level 35. I was pretty effing sure that it counted your EVs right from the start, doesn't it? Or have I been wasting time?

Lustful Envy (*snicker*), the Battle Items give out 4 EVs each. Just clearing that up.
