PC decided to log me out while I typed up this nice, long, elaborate post, so I'm going to paraphrase.
Um that threat list is totally flawed. Heatran can't switch into SDchomp if its life depended on it (EQ) and a number of the other things you listed. Also it will seriously not like STAB Thunderbolt from Raikou at all. Also Brick Break on Garchomp is silly since STAB EQ totally outdamages it. then again you're using a no-skill, luck-reliant Garchomp set with a hax item. Also Mixpert totally owns your team. there are a few others, I'll copy and paste what part of my other post didn't get deleted: Any fighter that does not fear Weezing anymore (Medicham, Lucario, Machamp even) will just massacre you. You're relying way too much on Heatran to wall a lot of these things, yet it's 4x weak to Earthquake and has to switch in and out a lot thanks to its Choice Item. Also, thanks to that choice item, you'll be outpredicted all day because it'll become obviosu that you're using it to counter stuff. Mixape can break Cradily and sweep a lot of your team. Vaporeon is probably your best bet countering it really. Also Brightpowder Garchomp is cheap and retarded, not to mention luck-reliant. All you're doing is zapping your HP with sub and getting roared away by Hippowdon or skarmory. Congrats! Also Heatran is a really big problem for this team, especially with Forretress/Skarmory as their physical wall. Weezing will power up flash fire, Choice Specs Fire Blasts that are going to HURT. Again your best bet is Vaporeon, but man will specs attacks hurt. Also you have trouble against Weavile. With a weakened Weezing (which should be easy thanks to you lacking a spinner and also hurting it with sandstorm) Weavile can come in and hammer Weezing with STAB, Chocie Band attacks. Really you can only get in Weavile's way in many cases, but you can't truly stop it. Also your team is wrecked by BP chains/BP teams or just a lone Baton Passer. for example, my old Ambipom team would have no trouble at all with this. In reality, Yawn isn't good enough. |
Funny, i run Energy Ball on Cradilly just for Swampy.
Try [email protected] 252 HP / 92 SP.DEF / 164 DEF Sassy nature - Energy Ball - Stealth Rock - Recover - Rock Slide I run this on my sandstorm team. Beats Bulky ground types more effectively aswell as waters. Roar >>> SR on Hippowdon Protect/ice Beam/HP Electric >> Yawn on Vappy now you have roar on hippow. Dont bother with giving hippow that may sp.def evs, Mixape will still rape it, it carrys Nasty Plot and a Life Orb and Hippow is not going to live through a grass Knot after that. Just use vappy to counter mixape, as it does that much better than hippow. Thats a horrible first EV spread on heatran 252 Sp. Atk, 236 Spd, 20 hp @ Modest plzz, outruns Duggy, Sceptile and Zam. What are Def evs for, its sweeping not the Rest-Talk set or anything. Will-o-wisp can now go on Weezing, ive freed up a moveslot on it due to giving Hippow Roar. SO you wont need haze. A spinner maybe ? I used to run tentacruel on my SS team. Toxic Spikes + SS + SR = things not lasting long =) EDIT : Why in the blue hell is Dark pulse on Heatran ?????!!! Even when Dark Pulse is super effective a Neutral Fire Blast still does more =/ . Explosion pl0x. |

Chainchomp in Sand is fun to use. Although I can't quite remember his EVs off my head.

Also with EQ off of Cradily you have a ton of trouble with Raikou. Heatran can only swithc into thunderbolt once or twice and Raikou will figure out you're scarfed when you outspeed it to break its sub. If it predicts Heatran and can get rid of it, Raikou will 6-0 your team. It laughs at Cradily and Hippowdon and shows then what it feels like to take HP Ice. Generally this team relies WAY too much on resistances rather than actual walls to stop things. Between Cradily, Weezing, and Vaporeon, you don't have many useful resistances. The good ones are fighting/rock/water/normal, and that's it. Also ntohing can switch into CBgross and CBtar safely. Outpredicting it is very tough. |

the actual team i put what i think of it on the quote |

Comments in bold I also dont get why Weavile is a problem, Weezing rapes it .end. Flamethrower/Fire Blast ohko/2hko and can cripple it with Will-o-wisp. Night Slash/Ice Punch do squat to Weez, he has vappy to support it with Wish, hell even vappy can beat it when push comes to shove, Heatran can revenge kill it. 3 ways to deal with it, he doesnt need any more, what do you want him to do, put Skarm, Bronzong, Gyarados, metagross in just to make sure lol. Thing is if it switches in on the rest of his team it wont last long either, if it comes in on Cradily it gets Toxiced, Hippowdon and it gets EQed, it cant switch in on garchomp for the same reason and getting ohko'd by most of its moves, also SR and SS each time it switches in will take their toll. |
A really great time. Just two problems:
1) I don't see why Heatran needs any physical move. 2) What about Weezing and Veporeon? They don't resist Sandstorm. |

2. Why does it matter really ? Everything on an SS team doesnt need to resist it. |
you need a spinner. how about claydol?

Ive just checked a damage calculator, an explosion from heatran onto blissey, assuming max IVs on all stats concerned and max HP and DEF EVs on blissey (Bold), it would do in the region of 75-88% Damage.

Ew I forgot about Hippowdon when I said CBtar hehe...but um it doesn't have any SDef EVs :0
But CBgross WILL break Hippowdon. 2HKO, and let's not forget the possibility of the attack rising from Meteor Mash. While Weezing/Vappy/Cradily has have a few useful resistances, they can't really use them all too well. For example Vaporeon can Water Absorb surfs but with die to a thunderbolt right after. I don't know how I forgot ground though >.> Still, Special Bug moves (as rare as they may be) which is basically Yanmega don't care if Weeszing resists bug and launches Air slash. anothr example is the ice resistance you mentioned. Boltbeamers are really common and will just ZAP vaporeon. If they can outpredict your switches it will not be fun. Also0 physical Ice Types like Weavile...yeah, Weavile can be a pest with Night Slash action. What I'm saying is that the resistances are too spread out. It's kind of like using Steelix as your only Rock Resist when almost everything with a rock attack will use a ground or fighting attack as well. As for Cradily, Rock Slide doesn't have many PP and misses every now and again. If Raikou plays its cards right and Pressure-stalls Rock slide a few turns and runs Rock Slide dry of PP, it's gg. Also Porygon-Z's Ice Beam does a lot to Cradily. not from Scarf Porygon-Z but that version sucks anyways. Cradily can beat Raikou, but it is depleted terribly of Rock Slide PP and Raikou can always abuse Wish support or Reflect and stall out Cradily while powering up and killing it. Supereffective HP Ice after 2 or 3 CMs is still going to hurt a bit. It won't do anything staggering but Cradily won't like it. I'm going to rephrase what I said a bit...you can hold off Raikou for a short amount of time, but it will really rain on your parade with Cradily stalled, which isn't hard to do. In theory you counter Raikou, but being a Raikou user myself I must say that your defenses against him are less than scary. Back to CBgross most teams are weak to it but this one has some trouble. Vaporeon is not the safest resistance to steel types to switch in since Metagross carries Thunderpunch and will DRILL Vaporeon. This is what I mean by the resistances not being very handy. EDIT: EVing Heatran in Atk to OHKO Blissey and snorlax is a waste of time. |

Defender HP: 420 Damage: 179 - 211 Damage: 42.62% - 50.24% On 252 hp / 252 def Impish Hippow . 3hko which means Slack off, EQ, Slack Off EQ. Dont forget Hoppowdon can also switch directly into Choice Band Heracross and get 3hko'd aswell. Its 10% more defensive than Skarmory. As for Raikou vs Cradily. Why should Rock Slides PP be drained, PP Max ftw. Even more so on shoddy. It can sub for a few turns but SS will drain its lefties and Rock Slide will force it to switch. Also Download, modest, Choice Specs Porggon-z does Defender HP: 384 Damage: 167 - 196 Damage: 43.49% - 51.04% to max hp/92 ev sp.def cradily in SS conditions, again a 3hko, which means Toxic, Recover, Rock Slide, Recover. Weavile still isnt a problem, Weezing, heatran and Vappy can all beat it. |
What Porygon-Z does to Cradily isn't exactly light damage, and some spikes/SR thrown in there and it's gg. Same goes for Metagross and Hippo (though the one I fought took 58% from Meteor Mash, it was probably EVed wrong lol)
Also I was kinda referring to Natsy Plot Porygon-Z :P And yes Cradily can hold off Raikou, but it can be stalled (not by Raikou alone, but with some help) and it's all over. As in if Raikou is well-played, it has potential to be a HUGE threat. Weavile is defeated but the team will take a beating before it dies if Weavile outpredicts. |

This team is fine against SR but spikes is just gg. NOW you people see why I think SR is so inferior :P Seriously add that and your team can't really counter anything :0

Impish 252 HP, 252 Def, 6 Atk Earthquake Slack Off Ice Fang/Stone Edge Stealth Rock Starts Sandstorm. I couldn't really think of another edit, it looks fine as it is, but I doubt you're gonna be staying in with any grass types, as far as I can see, they will all OHKO you, so I prefer SE for the power, but I'm not sure. =================== [email protected] Scarf Modest 252 Sp. Atk, 236 Spd, 20 HP Fire Blast Earth Power Explosion/HP [GRASS]/HP [ICE] Dragon Pulse Resists Sandstorm and hits hard and fast. I run it with HP ICE and Dragon Pulse usually, because I don't trust Heatran's attack especially with a modest nature, and I'm always afraid that thye will predict and switch into a bulky Steel/Rock or a ghost type. But that's just me. ==================== [email protected]/Wide Lens Sassy 252 HP, 164 Def, 92 Sp. Def Energy Ball Toxic Recover/Ingrain Rock Slide/Stone Edge Special Wall. This switches in on almost any Special Attacks and is unique in its ability to learn Recover. Toxic Stall to the supreme here, Rock Slide is a safer option over Stone Edge. Energy Ball for Swampy and Bulky Ground and Water Types. Yah. ==================== [email protected]Choice Band Jolly 252 Atk, 252 Spd, 6 HP Stone Edge Fire BLAST Dragon Claw Earthquake Better than Brightpowder Chomp, Swords Dance and Sweep. Yache Berry is gimicky, but lets me hit CB Weavile with some reliability. The three F's for Garchomp Fire Fang Fails. It just doesn't do the magic like Fire Blast, however you may need to switch to CB to use it to it's full effect, it just works better. ===================== [email protected]/Black Sludge Bold 252 HP, 252 Def, 6 Sp. Def Fire Blast/Shadow Ball/Dark Pulse Pain Split Will-o-Wisp/Haze Thunderbolt Hera Counter and Levitater. Originally had Gengar to soak up Rapid Spin, but I don't really care for the Stealth Rock as much as being able to counter common threats. When I ran my Weezing with Fire Blast on Shoddy, the foe always seemed to predict it and switch t o something with a Pyschic move, and often defeat it, so I used Shadow Ball, and I don't have that problem so much any more, and also, I'd rethink those EVs a little, try to squeeze in some Sp.Atk and sacrifice a stat with max EVs for a little more Sp.Def ====================== [email protected] Bold 188 HP, 252 Def, 68 Sp. Atk/Def Surf Baton Pass Wish Substitute Provides Psuedo-Phazing with Yawn, and is also my Wish passer. Takes water attacks directed at Hippo and Heatran with aplomb. This works, so only the last slot is up in the air at the moment. This set FTW, nice EV spread though. |
Fire Blast is what fails on CBchomp, not Fire Fang. I don't know about you but fire Blast working off of 80 base SAtk and a -SAtk nature is a lot weaker than A Fire fang working off of 130 base Atk and a CB boost.
Skarm is a terrible switch into Garchomp anyways. Also on Hippowdon I'm pretty sure Ice Fang is for Dragons. Stone edge is pretty useless on it in all honesty. |
