buy an older game for cheap!
the thrills you get from completing blue, slver, etc over again is so awesome:classic:

i agree, sometimes playing older games can be more entertaining than the new ones...

I found DP's storyline tedious, the older egns were much better for narrative
GSC still rock :)

If you feel that restarting the game is right, go for it.

If you do, I'd highly recommend transferring your valuables to another game first.

Just pirate a new game. The ROMs are fairly easy to find on your own, and GBA emulation and below is 100% perfect (no$gba also does a good job of emulating D/P).

Naito February 27th, 2008 7:51 PM

Airconditioning speaks the truth. Pirating a ROM is your best bet if you want to have some fun in Pokemon. Get a decent Ruby/Emerald/Fire Red ROM, and get a hack like Shiny Gold (Currently beta 5). You'll be in for a hell of a ride.

Just don't ask around here for ROMs, though you probably already know that.

Well if you have diamond then start a new adventure in there, but otherwise start new games in yellow/crystal/ruby. ;) (the 4th gen. of pokemon story lines were boring, but some were fun I guess)

Lady Nicole February 28th, 2008 1:13 AM

I would start the game over if I were you. And clade is right: get someone to look after your valuable Pokemon while you start a new game. Then you can get the other person to trade them back onto your new save file. I'll look after them for you if you like :) You can trust me I promise, I'm a nice member :P

Nashton February 28th, 2008 6:54 PM

hm...

well... i'll ask one of my friends if he can hold some pokes for me

hopefully he'll be up for it

and maybe i'll play Red version again and get my self lost in rock tunnel...

lol

good times...gooood times

The game is never as fun playing through a second time around. Try shiny hunting or working on the National Dex or something. That's what's keeping me hooked to Pearl

How about having a go at competitive battling like many members here? That's what I'm going to be starting soon once I get my team finished. It's hard work, but something to keep you occupied with, and without the hassle of restarting a game and losing some of your Pokemon. Then you'll be able to enter tournaments here as well as just have fun individual battles.

i restart frequently. depends on my mood.

Vexar February 29th, 2008 6:14 PM

Eh.. I picked up firered and leafgreen for the heck of it since I have D and P.. I wanted to see the updates from blue and red.

Saryka February 29th, 2008 7:03 PM

I'd start it over, you know, have some fun with it a second time~ I always find it lots of fun to pick a new team to fight with in-game when I start a new game. Just to experiment, you know? =D
