I'll join! ^.^

What attitudes and values should associate to friendship?

Friends should be there to cheer you up, and not only when you're feeling down, but just all the time. They should make you smile and laugh with you and get angry and cry with you. You should have fun with them, and time just seems to pass by quickly when you're with them. : )

What attitudes and values should associate to friendship?

Hmm. Honesty, kindness, and... I don't want them to feel like they need to be talking to me ALL the time. I have way too many "friends" who get bored with me because I don't talk every single second I'm around them.

I also would want them to always be willing to listen to me, and I want to feel like they can talk to me, too.

Twinx March 18th, 2008 12:27 PM

What attitudes and values should associate to friendship?

Trust. That's all. When there's trust, you can deal with everything else...

What attitudes and values should associate to friendship?

Adding to what was said above in previous answers, my friends need to have at least SOME sense of humor. In RL, me and my friends like to have a bit of fun and if you're going to scold us while we do it, you might as well get lost (but we do like the occasionally responsible person there to keep us in check).

Ho-Oh March 18th, 2008 10:51 PM

Loyalty is the main aspect in my opinion because it covers everything basically.

What attitudes and values should associate to friendship?
Loyalty, trust, and all that sort of stuff. Everything else comes after, for me, anyway.

Chi! ^^ Welcome to the club! Yes, I feel the same way. My friends always make me... Well... How should I call it... Oh that's right! They make me LOL. xD

Midori Chi March 20th, 2008 5:42 PM

I forgot to put loyalty! Aaaagh! XD I wonder if there's a hidden meaning that I forgot that. ^^;

Michii March 21st, 2008 6:37 AM

Gah, already inactive in the club. I fail at life XDDD

What attitudes and values should associate to friendship?

Well, if I had to pick one attitude, it would be optimism. There's nothing worse than having a bad day and having your friend tell you how it could get worse. {Although that's really not a good friend}

Gummy March 21st, 2008 6:44 AM

Just about everyone has answered this question its time for a new topic! And it's another scenario type, of course!

Your friend needs some money but refuses to tell you for what. Do you give it or not?

I'd give my friend the money and tell then to pay me back ASAP. Everyone deserves a little privacy.

BeachBoy March 21st, 2008 2:16 PM

See now if they don't tell you your not a friendship of loyalty. Maybe even trust goes in there...

So they'd have to tell me, as Im never gonna supply a friend if it could possibly lead to something harming them such as the bad stuff we all know and hear. I just couldn't do it, Imagine this, Phone call: "Ryan, your best friend just died in a car accident, he was drunk" And I payed the money for that beer possibly? Hail naw I couldnt do it without the information that's just me.

I don't know, I just... well My friends always tell me everything... I guess

22sa March 21st, 2008 2:53 PM

I don't care about friendship or how long they last, but I'd like to join just to .... bother you guys.

Well... I wouldn't, because... I'd know they're just buying something at the canteen, which is a waste of money. XD

Tater Tot March 21st, 2008 4:32 PM

Your friend needs some money but refuses to tell you for what. Do you give it or not? I probably will, even if the dude just wanted money. There is no reason I need the money. O.o

Awww, how sweet does that make me?

Ho-Oh March 21st, 2008 4:57 PM

That makes you really sweet. So sweet that I believe that you can actually... be friends with people :O

Wow, Nica, I have totally regained faith thanks to you!

Ho-Oh March 21st, 2008 5:00 PM

Yesh, well, we've always had some faith in you finding faith in friendship... it was only a matter of time.

Pikabloo March 21st, 2008 6:09 PM

Your friend needs some money but refuses to tell you for what. Do you give it or not?
Pff, they know that I shouldn't be the first person they ask money from >.> But yeah, I doubt I'd actually give them any money if they don't tell me what it's for before hand. Because, a) I'm a cheapskate, and I want to know that they would use it for something useful, and b) basically what Ryan said.

Twinx March 21st, 2008 11:18 PM

If he was my friend, he would tell me what he needs it for. So nope.
Also, um, I agree with Beach.

Midori Chi March 22nd, 2008 5:29 PM

Welcome, 22sa! XD

Your friend needs some money but refuses to tell you for what. Do you give it or not?

I trust that my friend wouldn't be buying anything bad, cause I don't have those type friends. Yes, I would give some money. I would also trust the friend to pay me back. : 3

BeachBoy March 22nd, 2008 5:50 PM

Well... anyone can make a mistake, and you could possibly fuel that. I wasn't lieing what I said earlier. My best friend jack, who was a never go even near anything bad kinda guy, and I caused him to get in a pretty bad accident didn't die but hurt his arm badly, one mistake. That's all it takes.

So yeah, from my past I'll never do it without some details, and all my friends tell me anyways.

i'm pretty protective of my friends as you can see.

Gummy March 22nd, 2008 6:27 PM

I understand that you care deeply about the welfare of your friends but if my friends don't want to tell me something, I don't pester them about it. We all have secrets, some of which we can't even tell our best friends. And as a friend I trust that he/she will do the right thing with the money.

Hazuki March 22nd, 2008 6:29 PM

I'll join, since I do value friends a lot. ^^

Your friend needs some money but refuses to tell you for what. Do you give it or not?

Well I would ask them until they give me the answer so I'll give it to them.

Gummy March 22nd, 2008 6:31 PM

Welcome to the club Hazuki, and happy birthday!
