Have you ever LEGALLY caught a Perfect-I.V. or 0-I.V. Pokémon?

Something I think many of you will honestly say no, but I want to see how probable is it to get one...

But if you DID catch one, was it 31 or 0? Who, where and how did you get it? Share your story.

And by this I mean Perfect I.V.s in ALL stats!!!

FourFourTwo March 15th, 2008 10:22 PM

Ive caught a 31 IV def shiny chansey... but what good is 31 IV in def? :(

Ive bred many pokemon with more than one 31 IV stats :)

Candymancan March 15th, 2008 10:54 PM

Ya a bunch of them, i caught a ditto that has 2 31 Iv's, the rest are all above 25, the 31 is in special defense, and atk.

I also caught a Larvitar that had i think it was 31 hp or speed and the rest was above 25 it was also adament.

It's something like 1 in a million chance of getting 31/31/31/31/31/31. (In the wild) When you breed, the parents can pass down a maximum of 4 stats. So:

Parent #1 -> 31/x/x/31/x/x + Parent #2 -> x/31/31/x/x/x = Baby -> 31/31/31/31/x/x

But not always, sometimes the stats combine, so you may only get 1 stat where it is passed down.

Just to add, my best was:

Magikarp
Adamant
31/31/31/26/31/31

Iv only seen 1 person who was able to breed a full 31 IV pokemon it was a furret, the person is named basilthedragon on the IGN boards, aparently she has like 60k posts in 2 years on that forum cuss she was in the hopital so she claims, and did nothing but breed furrets for a year to get that one.

I personally think she has no life lol.

As for 4 stats you sure ? i thought it was 3

World King March 15th, 2008 11:54 PM

I personally have, after 1 year of playing Emerald, I decided to restart my Ruby version and while I was trying to get a Torchic Adamant as a starter, I kewpt on retrying, until I did.

6 months later, after buying Pearl and migrated that Now Blaziken, discovered something...
It has Perfect IVs. Best day of my life...

Did you count its EV's ? It might not be perfect

Yes, I did, as I trained it myself.

And it reached maximum IVs in ALL stats.

And I still got it with me.

El Gofre March 16th, 2008 6:22 AM

I've bred a perfect attack zangoose in the past, but never caught one wild

BeachBoy March 16th, 2008 6:29 AM

Chance of getting a Poke with perfect IV's = 1 in 1,073,741,824 If you're lucky xD <-not fully sure on the number, found it on the net >.>

I havn't caught all 31, but I caught numerous dittos with 31 in various stats...

But I did breed my own magikarp that had four 31's
HP, Attack, and both defenses, the other two were forgettable, too bad my game wiped out ;(

`Gray March 16th, 2008 7:57 AM

Uhh... according to the Serebii.net IV calculator... my Turtwig [who was level 15 at the time] Hasty nature, had a 31 under attack. Does that count? My Turtwig [whose a Grotle] is now L29.. didnt check it yet.

El Gofre March 16th, 2008 8:01 AM

It wouldn't count because it's had EVs, and i dont think anyone keeps track of them early game

Azonic March 16th, 2008 8:37 AM

Uhh... I think it was a Sneasel in Leafgreen or whatever. It was a long time back, back when I thought Sneasels were useless BECAUSE WEAVILE DIDN'T EXIST YET >O

Yeah, umm... that was perfect IVs, not like I actually needed 4 of the stats. D: I didn't even know it had IVs yet, but I transfered it and got an IV battle, and then I fainted.

Crystal Shaymin March 16th, 2008 9:07 AM

i went out to get a larvitar, first one i found had 31 attack iv's, as well as 31 sp. def. iv's.

World King March 16th, 2008 9:47 AM

Yeah, I mean ALL stats with 31 or 0 I.V.'s

sandcrawler March 16th, 2008 7:36 PM

I bred a D/P Sneasel (Jolly, 29 IV Sp Atk, 31 IVs everything else, pursuit, ice punch)
I caught a neutral nature Shinx near the beginning of the game. I think it was a flush.
I have a modest Gardevoir with 31 IVs in Sp Atk and Speed.

There's probably more.

Glacier March 16th, 2008 8:26 PM

I just put my whole team through the IV calculator and my Golduck and Luxray which were my first wild captures in pearl after piplup of course and they came out
GOLDUCK LV67 31 31 31 31 31 31
LUXRAY LV66 31 31 31 31 31 31
The rest of my team had 30 across the board and had at least one 31.
No wonder im 313-0-0 on wifi ^^.

Skymin March 17th, 2008 2:19 AM

Yup, t'was a Brave Male Skarmory. Unfortunatly, I traded it away to my friend who was an awesome EV-Trainer. I dunno if that was a bad or good decision...

Supreme Dirt March 17th, 2008 4:54 AM

I, out of boredom, tried to hatch a Magikarp with all IVs 0. I finally succeeded today! As a joke, my brother said I clone it and use Action Replay to give it decent moves, as a sort of joke team, but I don't like hacking too much.

Soufiane March 17th, 2008 10:52 AM

What's a IV?
Can anyone explain?

El Gofre March 17th, 2008 10:56 AM

An IV is a hidden number assigned to each pokemon's stat, ranging from 0-31. It determines how high that particular stat can go, with 31 being the highest

Dunsparce March 17th, 2008 12:43 PM

I have one...

Magcargo >.>;

Too bad it had a crappy nature DX

313-0 with that team makeup ? Maybe its cuss of your shaymen but then its stats arent to bad, but i could beat that team i bet with a team that isnt on my trainer card. claiming to be 313-0 is alot and TBH it has to be proved imo cuss i dont belive you

Judging from you using a shaymin, did you get those 2 pokemon through a trade ? or did you hack them ? Somehow i have to doubt you have 2 pokemon with perfect IV's and then brag about being 313-0 lol.

After checking your posts on this forum you havent posted in the dueling section, so unless you played some little 2 year old kid 300 times i just cant belive it lol.

World King March 17th, 2008 8:27 PM

Me neither, my friend. Me neither.
