Hitmonlee Help

I have a level 18 Tyrouge and I'm trying to get it to Hitmonlee. I realized that the way to evolve it to Hitmonlee is if the attack is greater than the defense. But my Tyrouge only has 19 attack while it has 22 defense. I used a Protein but nothing's working. I really want a Hitmonlee but I don't know what to do since I only have 2 levels to go.

Any help, guys? Thanks. ^^;;

It would help if you used ten proteins, that way it might actually get an attack boost great enough in those two levels to evolve. If not, you could always just restart.

the protein wont kick in yet..

Go out and battle a bunch of low level shinx. each one is 1 effort point, for every 4 you battle, it gets you +1 attack when you level up. if you can ko like 12 or 16 before leveling up, youll get +4 attack, which should get you a hitmonlee

That won't work either, just like vitamins, EVs don't kick in at first either, but if he gave his Tyrogue Proteins instead of battling Shinx it would be the same thing, except the Proteins give 10 EVs instead of 1... either way I think it's good to give it the Proteins first, then battle Shinx.

Fight pokemon that give Attack EVs, if this fails, just breed for an Adamant nature one or anyone that boosts attack.

Ah then how come when I EV train a nice caught level 50+ Rhydon in HP on Bidoofs and get a level up I don't get + 63 in attack?

EVs don't really take effect until a Pokemon reaches forty plus. You will see a minor difference, but honestly, nothing major.

Yeah, I tried all of that. I only gained +2 EV Points for attack. It evolved to HItmonchan. >>;;

What was it fighting before that? If you fought lots of Pkmn that give DEF EVs it would take a lot of Atk EVs to over come that.
