One of the main reasons for switching him out is because between spiritomb and dusknoir its not a good combo. I like spiritomb much better, so meh.

So how'd I do?

Anti March 24th, 2008 5:02 PM

Take out dusknoir for a Rapid Spinner. I can tell you that having Yanmega and Dragonite on the same team with no Rapid Spinner probably is not the brightest idea.

Loto March 24th, 2008 5:29 PM

I would say take out dusknoir for a starmie spinner. You need the Ice beam anyway. ;p

Wow this thread finally got approved. I've fixed a lot of it with the help of some people over at pe2k. thx anyways. Also I personnaly can't stand the though of running Starmie.

Why not? Starmie is the best spinner for your team because it covers your horrible MixApe weakness.

There's another Pokemon you should seriously consider on your team:

Heatran

It's great. Your Yanmega and Dragonite share some common weaknesses: Rock and Ice. Heatran resists Rock and also has a 4x Ice resist. It resists Dragon too, and while it's not a sure counter to Salamence/Garchomp, it certainly helps when switching into predicted Dragon attacks (which your other Pokemon can't do). You can also use Yanmega and Lucario to lure Fire Attacks for Heatran to switch into.

The RestTalk version will probably be the best choice since by taking out Swampert and Dusknoir, you're losing a lot of your defense. Heatran's wide variety of resistances and ability to absorb status can make up for that.

It doesnt resist Rock its neutral, but i think it has the second highest number of resists in the game, second only to magnezone, so ill let ya off XD Dont hurt me

Anyways, this team kinda gets dominated by specs mence, Spiritomb and Dusknoir both get 2hko'd. The rest of your team gets raped by it regardless, your only hope is to revenge kill it with Yanmega, however with SR up and no spinner, Yanmega wont do a very good job of that.

Starmie would be nice as a spinner for a start as previously said by others. Says kthnxbai to teh Ape.

172 HP / 120 sp.att / 216 speed
Timid Nature
Trait : Natural Cure
- Ice Beam / Thunderbolt
- Surf
- Recover
- Rapid Spin

As for your sp. mence weakness try the Heatran Aragorn mentioned, whilst it cannot come in on Hydro pump or the rare HP Ground, it resists Dragon Pulse/Draco meteor and Fire Blast, so it makes a fine switch in, however your gonna have to be spot on with your predictions.

[email protected] / Shed Shell
244 HP / 136 Sp.A / 128 Speed
Modest Nature
- Lava Plume
- Earth Power / Hidden power {Ice/Electric/Grass]
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

This is the standard, but you can play with the evs and nature and place them else where to make it more defensive. Shed Shell is to escape Duggy.

Not sure why somebody hasn't pointed this out yet, but why have two first-strike moves on Lucario? If you don't want to run either Blaze Kick or Crunch on him, definately go with bullet punch for STAB, sob you won't get walled by Gengar and Dusky. My Gengar used to eat my friend's Lucario alive before he realized Crunch existed. Just a suggestion -- your team looks great tho. =]

Sora_8920 March 25th, 2008 11:14 AM

Run Steadfast > Inner Focus on Lucario.

Meh. Wide Lens Isn't the best increase, 10% is rather small. Lefties > Wide Lens.

Spiritomb blocks Rapid Spin for you already, replace Dusknoir with a Rapid Spinner, as Anti said.

252 special attack EVs works well to beat Blissey on Spiritomb with CM, if that's you're aiming to do.

Will edit this later, I think.
