Beldum....

Hey people! I'm catching beldum! Can you give me some advice for catching it cause it's catch rate is 3... I tried loads of ultra balls but it won't work!

Chonlel48 March 25th, 2008 5:40 AM

Quick Balls = blessing when it comes to legendaries, or in this case, Beldum line.

If it gets into night, Dusk balls.

Hope that helped

Or stall them and use timer balls, works for me

When i first met one i was quite surprised that it's very hard to catch but you should treat it like a legendary.

or transfer them over from Emerald. that's what i'm gonna do then trade them off for eeveelutions. or maybe just eevees. is there day time/night time in this game or is it like R/S/E where it's day time and night time but it always looks like daytime. or daos it actually get dark? that's off the topic but Chonlel's post made me more interested in this area of the game. use quick balls, or just try and trade for an UT one.

Wow! A Beldum in DS? Were can I find one? I wanna have a Metagross!!!

Catching a beldum took me a very long time...what you do is get an extremely high def pokemon like skarmory and put it upfront as a wall. They as beldums only move is takedown, you keep letting it attack you. Throw quick balls for the first 2 rounds and then ultra balls till it gets to red. Then just timer balls. Its really just luck. Just make sure u have an imense amount of balls. If you dont catch it today just change the date back to today and keep trying. And make sure u catch it because it rarely ever comes in swarms so catch it!

Yes, it does get dark at night in D/P. (As well as having two more 'times of the day'; morning and evening which also change in-world appearance, or at least evening does.)

Have a Ghost Type with Hypnosis Fight it. It will Slowly Kill itself with Take Down, as its Ability is always Clear Body. Put is to sleep so It's PP doesn't Run out as Quickly

DO NOT USE MIKARUGE!!! Its Pressure will only make it stuggle itself to death alot more quickly.

It's ALOT more easy to get one via Palpark, IMO.

Japanese Name Key:
Mikaruge = Spiritomb

First: Must defeaten elite 4 and go to sandgem town, talk to dawn's little sis (in her house)
She will tell you a new pokemon appears. Keep on checking every single day until she says: Route 228! There's a bunch of beludm there!
Quickly, go to Rt 228, and use the pokeradar to see it. Choose a big patch of grass that nearly covers up the whole screen, and try to get a beldum! Remember, it's catch rate is 3...

To everyone: Got a beldum, evolved into metagross.

my tatic is get it to orange health and use sleep powder then use tons of ultra balls if it wakes up all it knows is takedown so it cant kill itself

DONT USE FALSE SWIPE
