The Scottish Wonder

Just incase you were wondering, Im not Scottish but I do beleive this is. Im working on my Uu team and advice is always appreciated.

Lapras (Rodney) @ leftovers
Sassy- 252 hp/ 252 atk/ 6 sp.def

Curse
Body Slam
Waterfall
Ice Shard

The set is solid for a tank. Although Im not a fan of the additional weaknesses of Ice/Water typing, I love the stab moves. Waterfall and Ice Shard are self explanitory. I choose curse over d-dance mainly because Jolly Lapras will never out run anything after a d-dance, so I turned him into a tank. I think Body Slam is a good option with paralysis, but a shallow physical movepool is tough to work with.

Anyone have suggestions? Btw, I know Sp. lapras is more diverse, but My team can always use a physical tank.

Well DDtar can never outrun anything but people use that anyways...

Honestly I think the weaknesses are really going to hinder it, but give it a whack.

Gengarchomp March 27th, 2008 12:01 PM

Just hope that it does not get stuck against Agiligross or something. E,poleon and Shedinja completely wall it.

Anti March 27th, 2008 12:50 PM

Last I checked Empoleon is BL/OU and nobody uses Sheddy though...

Because of Sandstorm, you forgot to mention. :P

Meh. I'd make more bulky in SpD, otherwise, b the likes of NPAzelf and common stuff in D/P, he's screwed.

You're probably best using a Resttalk variant, like Snorlax, this gen. :/

Sassy is also a bad nature for Lapras. If you REALLY want to use it as a physical tank, run Impish.

Anti March 27th, 2008 2:06 PM

Well I would think Curse would deal with phys. defense. It doesn't look like a bad set, I'm not really familiar enough with Lapras to jump to too many conclusions was what I was getting at ;) If the set is only walled by Empoleon and (lol) Sheddy, then I'd say coverage is fine. It doesn't look bad, just not dominant. But hey, I don't know the UU game well, so I'd get more opinions on it.

Angelic Diablo March 27th, 2008 2:45 PM

DDtar, NPAzelf, Snorlax, Agiligross....

Either the UU has changed, or you guys missed the part where he said this was for a UU team

Meh. The opponent won't be stupid enough usually to let you get THAT many Curses in. So you won't be surviving that long with just Curse in play. EDIT: Byw, Skarmory walls this, and can Roar you away.

TP-BigWill March 28th, 2008 3:14 AM

Lol...the day Skarmory ever goes Uu is the day Castform will go Ou.

Although It's counterpart fearow might do the trick
*points out ice shard*

Confuse Ray

Thats my set, and the only non-OU on my OU team.
It's accually really good, and very helpful.
