Quick Question (Please hurry)

I've chained a pokemon 40 time, I keep running around reseting the radar but nothings appearing so what do I do?

fishyfins March 27th, 2008 11:15 AM

keep resetting, all you can do. or you could carry on chaining and risk it breaking. it worked for me, once i reached 40, i reset about 5 times, and the shiny appeared

Well I've reset about 12 times now and no luck.

Keep Reseting i wouldnt risk keep on chaining.
it took me about 30 mins to get a shiny after a chain of 40 once.

You must be patient, my friend. Without chaining, the odds of finding a shiny are 1/8192 (thanks ShadowTails). With chaining (after you get up to 40 in one chain) the odds increase to something like 5/100. Which isn't that great. It's better than 1/8192, but most of the Pokemon you see still won'y be shiny. Keep searching, and don't break the chain or save/restart. It takes a while to get a chain to 40 Pokemon.

1/8192 compared to 5/100 - BIG BIG diffrence! I'm trying to get my new shiny too, so thanks for the tip! Anyway, you see the pinkish glow two times on a patch of grass, that means it's a shiny!

5/100 = 1/20

A 1/20 chance is ENORMOUSLY better than a 1/8192 one.
