Tyranitar - Salamence, Bronzong

HI i r Tyranitar, i have Stone Edge, ice Beam =/. Fire Blast on mixed sets ?

Gyarados - Bronzong, Weezing, Salamence

Gyarados has Taunt AND Stone Edge aswell to own Zong and Mence, Weezing is ok.

Infernape - Weezing, Salamence (Non HP ICE)

ROFL, What can weezing do to Mixape OR SD Ape ? mence is still a bad switch in, it gets 2hko'd by a Nasty Plot flamethrower. And if its physical, Stone Edge says hi.

Azelf - Blissey

BOOOOMMM !!!

Electivire - Bronzong, Weezing

Thunderbolt/Flamethrower/HP Ice/Cross Chop, need i say more ?

Heracross - Bronzong, Weezing, Salamence

CB Close combat says hi to Zong, and Stone Edge says hi to mence, CB Meghorn and CC 2hko Mence aswell =/. Weezing is a good counter however.

Salamence - Blissey (Spcl), Bronzong, Salamence (Phys),

lolwut ? How can salamence counter salamence ?, also what are you going to do against Life Orb Brick break/Fire Blast/Draco meteor/Filler mixed sets ?

Togekiss - Gengar, Mamoswine, Blissey

Blissey kinda never beats Togekiss, Nasty Plot/Aura Sphere/Roost/Air Slash sets wastes it, same with Mamo. Togekiss can live thunderbolts from gengar depending on the spread and dominate your ass back with Air Slash

Gengar - Blissey

Errm Focus Punch/Explosion/Thunderbolt/Shadow [email protected] Orb ?

Garchomp - Gengar, Bronzong, Mamoswine (Revenge)

gengar and Mamo can revenge, however SD Fire Fang really hammers Zong.

Lucario - Gengar, Bronzong, Mamoswine (Revenge)

No, SD Bullet Punch OHKO's Gengar if it comes in on a SR,and you have no spinner, Close Combat ohko's Zong, and im pretty sure Bullet Punch OHKO's Mamo.

Specs set kinda wasted this team however. Since you have no spinner....

You have a counter for phys sets but forgot to mention it, Weezing =)

Starmie - Blissey

Yay.

Weavile - Weezing, Bronzong

Yay.

Dugtrio - Weezing, Gengar

Sucker Punch? Gengar ? Careful of it Killing bliss aswell

PorygonZ - Blissey

Ish

Machamp - Weezing, Bronzong

Bronzong cannot beat Machamp, EVER, Dynamic Punch, Close Combat, even Fire Punch REALLY hurt, Scarf or Choice Band, it doesnt matter.

Weezing works though.

Snorlax - Weezing, Bronzong, Salamence

Curse ?, Zong kinda cant beat that, and neither can mence. Weezing can Haze however. Thats about it....

Zapdos - Mamoswine, Blissey, Salamence,(non hp ice)

Zappy can Hp Hp Grass aswell, which kinda wastes Mamo. It can also Pressure Stall Bliss with Roost, Metal Sound, even Sub ? Mence would be ok i guess, watch out for T-Waves and Metal Sound Thunderbolts, also Mence will never beat Zappy without Stone Edge.. However Make absolutely sure the Zapdos does not have HP ice...

Suicune - Blissey

siafdenfremfdeefk, CalmCune always beats bliss 1 on one via pressure Calm Mind/Rest/Surf/Roar or Ice Beam.

Breloom - Weezing, Gengar, Bronzong

Weezing yes but SUB-SEED versions own it, Gengar no , Stone Edge, Bronzong no, Focus Punch rips it a new one.

Slaking - Weezing, Bronzong, Salamence

Yep, but mence cant, Slaking actually gets Ice Punch and even ice Beam

Ninjask - Mamoswine

Yep, kinda

Metagross - Weezing, Bronzong

Nononon Weezing gets 2HKO'd by a CB Meteor Mash, Zong would be good i guess

Heatran - Blissey

Taunt/Metal Sound/Fire Blast/Filler =), heck theres even the possibility of Explosion on that set =0

Dragonite - Blissey (Spcl), Bronzong (Phys), Salamence (Phys), Gengar

How in the blue hell can Mence take a Dragonite, it frikkin gets DD and Outrage ? Zong gets nailed by Fire Punch, Special versions actually have Focus Punch for Blissey =/ Gengar is ok to revenge, as is mamo, watch out for Yache berry.

Mamoswine - Bronzong, Gengar, Weezing

Weezing and Zong yes.Gengar cannot come in, revenge i assume you mean though

Gallade - Weezing, Bronzong, Salamence

HAHAHAHAH, no, Psycho Cut pimp smacks Weezing, CB Close Close Combat dominates Zong and it also gets Ice Punch for Mence....It Even gets stone edge

Yanmega - Blissey, Mamoswine, Bronzong

yea, however Life Orb'd Bug Buzz or HP Fire 2hko's Zong.

Kingdra - Blissey (Spcl), Salamence (Revenge), Mamoswine (Revenge)

No... Rain Dance says hi, Dragon Pulse says hi to mence and Hydro pump, Surf and Waterfall all powered up by rain say hi to Mamo.

Life Orb'd Waterfall 2hko's Blissey aswell in the rain, ive never seen a fully special Kingdra =/

Roserade - Blissey, Bronzong, Weezing, Gengar

Eww,Blisy yes, Bronzong no, Sleep powder, HP Fire ? Weezing, still no, Choice Specs Shadow Ball, even the rare Extrasensory? Gengar still no, Shadow Ball, Extrasensory ?

Scizor - Weezing, Bronzong, Salamence

S'D Life Orb' d Iron head OHKO's Weez if it comes in on SR, Bronzong cant to anything and gets dominated by X-Scissor, Mence possible.....

- - - - - - - - - -

yeah, i suggest you sort that out....

No spinner is sad for this team.

Anti March 29th, 2008 9:23 AM

I'm going to fix the flaws in the threat list.

Tyranitar - Salamence, Bronzong

Neither can take a CB Crunch. Nothing on your team can. You can't counter it. Boah isn't much of a problem though, but Life Orb Tar (basically one that can kill Bronzong) will be a terrible pain.

Gyarados - Bronzong, Weezing, Salamence (Non Ice Fang)

lol'd at Bronzong, Salamence gets punched in the mouth by Stone Edge too. Almost none carry EQ/Waterfall, so that really isn't viable. It doesn't really matter since Weezing works great, but just so you know.

Infernape - Weezing, Salamence (Non HP ICE)

Be sure you predict right or weezing could find itself on the wrong side of a CB Flare Blitz. also...I must ask...what happens if HP Ice Infernape does show up? O_o

Azelf - Blissey

k.

Electivire - Bronzong, Weezing

Weezing is just a stall waiting to happen, though I guess it could work. It can't really hurt Vire though, you'd have to Pain Split. Bronzong is more solid here. Neither have any hope against Mixed Vire.

Heracross - Bronzong, Weezing, Salamence

By the wise words of Dark_Azelf, Heracross will still really hurt poor Salamence. Bronzong isn't a counter at all, but of course Weezing is certainly viable.

Salamence - Blissey (Spcl), Bronzong, Salamence (Phys),

No...Blissey is spot-on with SpecsMence, but do you honestly think your Salamence will be able to survive a choice Band Dragon claw? Max Def/Max HP suicune is 2HKOed.

Togekiss - Gengar, Mamoswine, Blissey

Nasty Plot Togekiss could very well break all three.

Gengar - Blissey

k.

Garchomp - Gengar, Bronzong, Mamoswine (Revenge)

Gengar can't switch in at all on any set. Others are fine. Watch out for Fire moves though.

Lucario - Gengar, Bronzong, Mamoswine (Revenge)

SpecsLuke owns all three, as does SDluke if it as Bullet Punch.

Starmie - Blissey

k.

Weavile - Weezing, Bronzong

k.

Dugtrio - Weezing, Gengar

Gengar will have a lot of trouble will Sucker Punch, just so you know. but yeah, Weezing will of course work.

PorygonZ - Blissey

Watch out for mixed Porygon-Z and ones that are designed to overpower Blissey.

Machamp - Weezing, Bronzong

Not Bronzong. But yeah.

Snorlax - Weezing, Bronzong, Salamence

Sure.

Zapdos - Mamoswine, Salamence (Non HP ICE), Blissey

Just remember Resttalk Zappy can outstall Blissey.

Suicune - Blissey

Eh...Suicune can beat it, so play it right. Watch out for Roar with some Spikes/SR support as well, as Blissey could go down quickly and you don't have a Rapid spinner.

Breloom - Weezing, Gengar, Bronzong

k.

Slaking - Weezing, Bronzong, Salamence

Not Salamence, but otherwise okay.

Ninjask - Mamoswine

It can still speed pass on you.

Metagross - Weezing, Bronzong

Weezing takes a beating from CB Meteor Mash, bronzong is a much better bet.

Heatran - Blissey

Like with PoryZ, watch out for those that can beat Blissey.

Dragonite - Blissey (Spcl), Bronzong (Phys), Salamence (Phys), Gengar

No, nothing is stopping DD Dragonite here, especially ones with Yache Berry that lol at Gengar's revenge killing attempts. Bronzong is flattened by Fire Punch and Salamence and Blissey don't standa chance. Gengar switching in on Dragonite simply is not happening. Also the Sub/Focus Punch/Dragon Claw/Flamethrower variants cannot be countered.

Mamoswine - Bronzong, Gengar, Weezing

k.

Gallade - Weezing, Bronzong, Salamence

Gallade can beat all three, so be sure you predict correctly.

Yanmega - Blissey, Mamoswine, Bronzong

k.

Kingdra - Blissey (Spcl), Salamence (Revenge), Mamoswine (Revenge)

Mixed Kingdra in the rain (the one Syaoran runs) 6-0s this team, it beats all three of those very easily.

Roserade - Blissey, Bronzong, Weezing, Gengar

Weezing...I don't think so. But you counter it fine, so yeah.

Scizor - Weezing, Bronzong, Salamence

Don't know enough about Scizor to comment.

- - - - - - - - - -

Tar and Dragonite are kryptonite when it comes to this team. there are a few other weaknesses I pointed out while typing this up, but PC logged me out and I lost that part of my post >:0

But yeah, I see Dark_Azelf did the same thing, but I'll post mine so all that work doesn't go to waste, lol

Angelic Diablo March 29th, 2008 4:43 PM

While those two pointed out flaws in your threats list, I'll like to point out that Gyro Ball does not hit Gyarados well, Water resists Steel

sims796 March 29th, 2008 4:50 PM

It'll leave a mark, especially after a DD, but not enough for a full fledge counter.

Ársa March 29th, 2008 5:17 PM

Ok, so the threat list if flawed, but that is all I have gotten. Let's forget about "Theorymon" for awhile, and focus on the team. The problem I have with people saying stuff like "Azelf goes boom on Blissey" is that Azelf is no longer an issue is it? But yes, I need to change up the threat list...

~T_S

Anti March 29th, 2008 6:00 PM

Um, I run a team with Explosion Azelf and Raikou. Azelf might not be a problem, but Raikou can. You might do your job in countering it, but losing Blissey can be VERY costly. In fact, it is almost always very costly.

It would probably help your threat list if you explained HOW each pokemon countered one another, that way you could figure out the flaws yourself. It is like proofreading and is also helpful information for raters.

LORD NIGHTMARE March 31st, 2008 12:05 AM

i would like to point out, for your bronzong you said that earthquake is for gyarados. among other things

Ársa March 31st, 2008 2:02 AM

No, I said Earthquake is for Electivire and Magnezone, with Gyro Ball hitting well on Tyranitar and Gyarados. (After a few DD's)

Nice, but i've found toxic to be quite handy recently

Looks pretty good. The faults in your threat list have been picked out, but it looks pretty solid. I'd just be worried that you have nothing capable of hitting hard special-wise should Gengar go down.

I envy you having a sassy Bronzong, ive been breeding all week and nothin lol

Dark Azelf March 31st, 2008 6:43 AM

Anti is right, some people will use Wobba, Duggy and all sorts of different sorts of methods to remove bliss, and then sweep you with a CMKou, or hell any other sp.threat.

Seeing as Dugtrio is actually becoming more common, due to someone getting into the top 10 on shoddy and posting their team on smogon anyone and everyone is using it. This is why i run a Shed Shell on my Heatran as of late.

I believe I called the Dugtrio comeback. and link me to that team, I'd like to see it lol

Anyways, Gyro Ball on Bronzong isn't going to do anything to Gyarados. If the Gyarados user is smart, they aren't going to DD up to power up Gyro Ball, they'll just attack you and you will be helpless. Bronzong can't take a STAB Waterfall with one DD in very well.

Ársa April 1st, 2008 4:04 AM

Yeah, I was thinking of that. Charge Beam would probably be the better option if I was concerned, but Stealth Rock could suffice I suppose. I've always enjoyed using Duggy, especially after it enjoyed raping a team of mine once... >_<
