What's Ut?

It's in the title. What is Ut pokemon?? I am really confused the way people keep using the term Ut.

solopy567 March 29th, 2008 3:32 PM

Its means Untouched...As far as i know, it means the pokemon has not been trained at all

Le_Avatar March 29th, 2008 4:04 PM

Yeah exactly, UT means untouched. Like in no Exp. and no EVs

In the exact same mint condition that you catch it... ;)

Naito March 29th, 2008 4:06 PM

UT means Untouched. Basically, nothing has been done to it except maybe raise it's friendship by walking with it.

I don't really get why people care though... Since there's EV reducing berries out there.

Le_Avatar March 29th, 2008 4:28 PM

Because reducing EVs that you don't know your pokes have is kinda difficult... Better start off with a freshly UT than trying to figure what EVs to erase

tigerd March 29th, 2008 6:55 PM

Yes, untouched but where did you hear that?

Le_Avatar March 29th, 2008 7:06 PM

Heard what ?!
Speak clearly if you wanna get understandable answer...

Plus, who would bother? I mean, UT is so much easier than piling berries that you have to grow onto a pokemon.

gilgaland March 30th, 2008 7:11 AM

UT means that they havnt been leveld up or had pokerus and even 1 piece of exp

Thanks. But also what is EV's? that has been confusing me for a while as well but forgot to mention it in my first post.

Gooberdued April 4th, 2008 1:51 PM

I swear, there should be a stickied thread called "What EVs and IVs are" so people wouldn't need to ask this question.

Anyway, here is a link to serebii's page: LINKY

EVs are effort values. They're sorta like hidden stats that you receive after gaining EXP in battle.

The FAQ in the Strategies and Moveset forum helps explain it in more detail.

Thanks for telling me so quickly. Now have heard Sp and RC so what are they. Sorry *says weird stuff out of confusion*.
