Crazy thought popped in my head?

what happens after you play more than 999 hours?

BakingBluePotatoe March 30th, 2008 8:56 PM

nothing... the timer just quits counting, but other than that, nothing.

I'd know, I've gotten the timer to 999:59 in my Pearl.

Apathetic_Yen March 30th, 2008 9:36 PM

that's disgusting...

I only have 220 hours

Tré March 30th, 2008 9:52 PM

yah kitsune is right. just like in my emerald version i got the same time just like kitsune....

Kylo March 31st, 2008 3:42 AM

If you still need proof, just plug in your DS and leave it running for about a week. It'll do nothing at all.

Storm-DC March 31st, 2008 4:29 AM

when you cross 999 the game erases all data and the only thing you'll see is the adress of a psychiater near you (thanks to wifi)

El Gofre March 31st, 2008 4:46 AM

Erm, lol?
Why in hell would they do that? Its just mean lol

Tré March 31st, 2008 5:02 AM

i dindnt happent to me... then just let it cross 999. nothing will happen

Dark Jay March 31st, 2008 5:13 AM

999 hours? Who would dare? That's just a sign of being to obsessed.

I've played 60 hours and I've completed half of my pokedex. I don't think I would ever need to pass 999 hours. o.O

brendan mc March 31st, 2008 7:48 AM

maybe what will happen is it will go to 999. then ones thats over it begins with 000 and a tiny +1 at the corner

Naito March 31st, 2008 8:07 AM

In Pokemon Silver, and Pokemon Blue, I had 999 hours filled in (I STILL play them).

The game proceeds normally, but the timer at the main menu stops.

What if we don't have wifi? This post of yours... Doesn't really make any sense.

it DOESN'T :surprised:???

Naito March 31st, 2008 9:41 AM

Even as sarcasm, it's annoying. Serious response plz.

Though I do know you meant that we'd have no life to play a Pokemon game so much it has 999 hours...

DaiLinn March 31st, 2008 10:10 AM

Well, realistically, once you've had the game for awhile, if you keep playing it... =P (also if you're like me and leave your DS on almost all the time... Gotta stop doing that, someday the battery's gonna die while it's like that...)

Some people who breed for perfect IVs and natures, then EV train for competitive battling. I've only recently started battling online (about a month ago, and I racked up 227 hours in that time.)
