Extra 4 speed EVs to Roar away enemy Skarm.

Any and all advice would help and thanks for your time.

One thing real quick...having a pokemon designed just to beat Wobbuffet is pretty useless. It can just switch out and trap a different pokemon.

Also more Defense on skarmory, it won't be walling anything with those EVs.

252hp/ 156def won't wall anything?
If you say so, how about 252hp/ 200def/ 48atk/ 8speed?

Azonic March 31st, 2008 1:37 PM

How about 252 HP, 252 Defense, 4 Attack?

You've got a Fire and Fighting weakness, which means Infernape dances on this team.

If you really want a Wobbuffet counter, just get a Dark pokemon with Dark pulse. ._. Mirror Coat doesn't effect Dark types.

Or the ultimate Wobby counter:

[email protected] choice band
252speed/ 252atk/ 6hp
-Pursuit
-filler
-filler
-filler
lulz neither Counter or Mirror Coat can hit it and Encore is useless with it banded into a move anyway so either it stays in 'til it dies or switches out and takes alot of damage.

Infernape takes this team for a joy ride. Unless Pinsir/Skarmory land their super effective hits first (unlikely due to Nape's speed) they get slaughtered.

I'd reccomend a bulky water type that has decent speed. Swampert comes to mind, but Feraligator if you want something different.

Swampy gets owned by Grass Knot, try Vaporeon.

Actually I've gone for a joy ride on Infernape with Pinsir before they weren't expecting a choice scarf and EQ did them in. =D

Also do you have the patiance to get Spiritomb? You have to talk to 32 underground that aren't Hikers. so kudos if you can get it.

He could always switch in, plus Swampy has that nice Thunder resistence.

But what if Pinsir dies? D:

1st this is for Shoddy.
2nd Get one of your friends to stand outside of your secret base and talk to them then enter and exit your base and talk to them again for 32 times and boom you've got Spiritomb. Or just ask for it on the Wireless trading thing on this site.

. March 31st, 2008 3:13 PM

The entire process for Spiritomb is pretty useless, plenty are willing to trade one. Plus, you can always get a Sableye from Sapphire in the Dewford Cave.

Depends on the conditions if I've established SR and done a small bit of damage to Nape and he's physical I'll switch to Skarm to finish the job and Roost next turn if possible. If it's Mixed then I'm going to need a counter which I don't have so what would you suggest?

What do you mean? Seriously, pm Anti-Pop for the set, It is one of the best, if not, the best Ape counter.

Spiritombs base stats
HP- 50
ATK-92
DEF-108
SPATK-92
SPDEF-108
SPD-35

Sabeleyes base stats
HP-50
ATK-75
DEF-75
SPATK-65
SPDEF-65
SPD-50

Now which out of these would you rather have?

. March 31st, 2008 3:49 PM

I never really compared them! I concede.

Anti March 31st, 2008 7:38 PM

Sableye is faster. I am sorry but it is superior.

Also I would get Vaporeon, who can switch into anything but thunderpunch of close Combat from Infernape. Still, Pinsir is an awful shaky fighting resist, so Persian should go for your standard Ghost, or Cress/Gliscor/Weezing.

But yeah, I'm a real sucker for Bulky Waters and Vaporeon fits very well.

EDIT: for those who cannot figure out internet sarcasm, the Sableye comment was a joke.

Swampert the best Infernape counter? Are we on the same planet here?
