Uhmmm
uhmm can I know how to get a specific type for hidden power
|
The typing of Hidden Power depends on the Pokemon and it's IVs (Individual Values) - it can't change for the Pokemon. Whatever on it is, it is set when you first encounter the Pokemon, and cannot be changed. Same for the power of it. Consider it up to luck.
Different Pokemon of the same species can have differing Hidden Powers, mind. |
HP changed as the IVs changed for me.
|
ok. so hat happens is you count the IV's and if they're divisible by 2 then you don't add them. here is how it goes in terms of the value of calculating. you only add the following if the IV is odd. eg, 21 spd.
so my bagon lvl 10 has the following stats: HP-29 Attack-30 Defense-18 Sp. Attack-21 Sp. Defense-14 Speed-23 and if the Iv is odd then you do this. Hp=+1 Atk=+2 def=+4 sp atk=+8 sp def=+16 spd=+32 we have these odd stats: HP (+1) Sp. Atk (+8) Speed (+32) =41 then you do 41*15(that's how many types there are excluding normal type)/63(max total you can get) 41*15=615 615/63=9.76~10 and there you have your HP type. I'm not sure which type corresponds with which nmber but ye, someone may be able to explain better. basically you just add all the odd IV's and the amount added doubles as you go down the list e.g. HP=+1 and then atk comes next which =+2. you only add the odd IV's, don't ever forget that. then you have to dio the simple algebraic calculation: x*15/63=y in the case above, x = 41 and y = 10. don't forget to round up/down. |

Flame healer, is that your Bagon's IVs or is that their EVs? There are two ways you can determine your IVs. Firstly, use an IV Calculator. But then, it is not always accurate. Secondly, it has to do something with online play I think. Set your Pokemon to Lv 100... But I don't know that. Simply put, if you only want to know your Hidden Power's type, test it on every type of Pokemon. Then by the descriptions of super effective, not very effective, no effect just normal damage, you'll eventually find out. Example: Test it on an Abra. If it's super effective, you'd know that the HP is either Bug, Dark or Ghost. Then test it on Ponyta. If it's not very effective, it's Bug then. And so on. But then, you will not know the HP's Base Power. |
thx

i was saying the iv's. why? the bagon was an example. it was something i bred in emerald. i have a salamence though.
|
doesen't the unknowns have diff hidden powers? jw
|
Well, I was just wondering. Because I usually think that people only count the IVs when the Pokemon is Lv100..
Anyway, yes, the Unowns have different hidden power of course. |
how do you check their IV's?
|
Lol, every time I try to learn more about this I get bored. Its funny because I want to be great but Evs are enough as of now for me.

1) If it's a freshly hatched Pokemon: Get a lot of Rare Candies. About 10-20 or so will do. Before doing anything, save your game. Then, record the stats, nature, and characteristic onto Metalkid's IV Calculator. Now, level it up via Rare Candies to about level 10, recording the stats of each level along the way, and then hit Calculate. You should have a good idea of the Poke's IVs from there. If you want a more exact number, keep leveling up. 2) If it's a Pokemon you've had for a while: Do you know the Pokemon's EVs? If you don't, then you'll need a lot of the EV reducing berries. Plug everything into Metalkid's IV Calculator, and hit Calculate. |
wow thx.......but how can I get so many rare candies.......without using ar cuz I dont have 1 and without using gts cloning cuz my file before got deleted
|
I dunno. Either save the ones you have, or use the cloning glitch in Emerald (that's what I do).
