PKMN LG AND FR

Does someone know the catchable johto pokemon in fire red and leaf green?

XaRhS April 18th, 2008 10:44 AM

I DON'T REALLY KNOW BUT I THINK THEY ARE THE SAME WITH B/R/Y

El Gofre April 18th, 2008 12:10 PM

Oh yeah, becuse they're really were jhoto pokemon in 1st gen :|
But yeah, most of them are catchable. I dont think there's a compiled list though, so you're better off checking serebii and the like for their locatoons in the pokedex.

Pokemon XD is not Fire Red or Leaf Green, though. The list only applies to the Pokemon that you can only catch in either version, without trading. Otherwise, pretty much every Pokemon would be on that list, as it would encompass Pokemon available on RSE and Colosseum as well, which may add a few more entries to that list.

XaRhS April 19th, 2008 1:06 AM

colosseum can list 387 pokemon in the strategy memo but unfortunately you can store only 108 pokemon in the computer

If this was a response to my post, I think it might actually be irrelevant. I was saying that the list given above only applies to Johto Pokemon available in FrLg but that if we consider trading and transferring with the other games including Colosseum (i.e. not storing but rather transferring Pokemon off it), then most, if not all, Johto Pokemon would be available, not just Cyndaquil.

I was not saying that one should be catching every Johto Pokemon available (of which there are actually only 100) and storing them on Colosseum (on which you can't get every Johto Pokemon in existence by itself anyway).

Sorry.

XaRhS April 19th, 2008 12:57 PM

i'm sorry too.....sometimes i get out of topic.......

Actually, there are. After defeating the Elite Four, more islands in the Sevii Island archipelago open up. (Talk to Celio in order to obtain the correct pass.) These islands contain a number of Johto Pokemon.

Glacier April 22nd, 2008 6:21 AM

Ignore Tre al he obviously doesn't know what hes talking about. -.-
Spike6958 was right all of those pokemon are in FR/LG

Cid April 22nd, 2008 6:28 AM

Yeah, I once got a Togepi and a Piloswine before in Fire Red... I think Tre_Al hasn't finished FR and LG up to Sevii Islands...

Cid April 22nd, 2008 6:59 AM

Erm.. Okay, so I guess that we all mean that you can only catch Johto Pokemon at the Sevii Islands (though that's what I think)...

holdon88 April 22nd, 2008 7:18 AM

What Kanto pokemon are catchable in FR/LG? Would it just be the same as in Red/Blue?

So you just gave information without even finishing the game?

Pretty much.

legendtaker April 22nd, 2008 12:10 PM

just adding this you only need fire red, leaf green, emerald, ruby and saphire to complete the whole pokedex. 150 for kanto completeing that pokedex. 200 for the hoen pokedex. and you can catch at least 36 pokemon in the sevi islands and safari zones from both games to complete the national dex.

Hey guys, I had two more questions and didn't want to make a new thread about the same game.

1. Is there a clone glitch in FR/LG? If not, does that mean the only way you can get all the first three starters is by trading?

2. Since I would only have a DS and no GBA, what would I need to take pokemon off of FR/LG and trasnfer them to something like Diamond/Pearl? Is it possible without a GBA and link cable?

thanks

1) I've never heard of a cloning glitch in FR/LG, the only one I know of is in Emerald.
In short, I doubt it, unless the old switch-off-whilst-saving cloning glitch from the R/B/Y versions still exists.. I wouldn't try that though :x

You'll need to trade with someone else to get the other starters.

2) If you want to migrate Pokémon from FR/LG/R/S/E, then all you need is a DS.
Have the GBA game with the Pokémon to be transferred in slot 2, and your copy of Diamond or Pearl in slot 1 of the DS.
Then you load your DS Pokémon game and select the "Migrate from <insert GBA Pkmn game name here>" option in the menu where you load your save file, and choose the six to send over.
One note - you have to obtain the National 'dex and beat the Elite 4 in D/P before you can get to Pal Park and use the migration feature :l
(Pal Park is at the end of route 221 in D/P, by the way)

keep note that you can't trade back though. They are forever lost like dinosaurs.

Ah I see..one more question
How about if I had a friend that has Ruby/Sapphire on GBA, and I have FR on the DS. What kind of link would I need to get to trade between R/S on a GBA and FR/LG on a DS, because I would want to give him something in return? Is there a GBA-DS cable link or something? Also, how many pokemon can FR/LG boxes hold? thanks again

HalcyonXIII April 22nd, 2008 6:10 PM

You can't use the DS to link to GBA consoles, so you'll need two GBA's for trading between two FR/LG/R/S/E games. You can also link a GBA and a Gamecube Gameboy Player, but i'm guessing you haven't got one of those either? :l

FR/LG can hold 420 Pokémon in the PC :-)

DS cant trade with GBA you'll have to use GBA and the GBA link cable to trade with him. And FR/LG boxes can store about 420 Pokemon.
