need help training in pokemon gold???

Im right before the elite four in pokemon gold, and i decided to train up a dragonite. I got my Dratini to Level 40(I didnt evolve it YET, so it levels faster), but what are good places to train? remember, this is before the elite four, after beating the eight gym leader....

It will take quite a while to go from level 40 to 55....are u sure there's no faster way?

Train in Victory Road. Or on the route right before it.

Or, if you want a quick Dragonite. Put it in the daycare. Get your bike, randomly ride around all over the place for a few hours, day at the most. Then, Dratini will be at Level 50+

NOTE: Your Dratini will possibly learn over some good moves, and it can possibly be weaker than a regularly trained one.

that isnt a bad idea. A level 55 Dragonite will own all the elite four including all of Lance's pokemon as well..... HOw did u guys beat the elite four when u played pokemon gold/silver back in the day?

I had my Level 63 Typhlosion use Flame Wheel on everything excluding Lance (he used Cut on them and Dynamicpunch, lol)
