Flaws in Pokemon Ruby

While I was sweeping through the elite 4 with my Tyranitar, I noticed something odd. When I went up against Phoebe's dusclops which had future sight as one of its four moves, it used future sight which is a psychic attack and then two turns later the future sight dealt some damage on my Tyranitar but tyranitar is a dark type and psychic attacks cant even work against him.
Is there something I dont know or can any one of you explain this.

Future Sight and Doom Desire are typeless attacks that do regular damage to everybody. Yes, typeless, despite the types being listed. Kind of odd since Seismic Toss and Nightshade are still typed.

But it's wierd that they are not "???" types

Am I not right to note that Doom Desire which is a steel type move works on all types whilst dark types are immune to psychic attacks (i.e. future sight)

Future Sight and Doom Desire are all struggle type based. They do x1 damage to any type. The thing about them being psychic and steel are rather minor and neglectable...

*guess* Future Sight is only typed as psychic to indicate that sp.atk stat is used to run for this attack, while Doom Desire uses physical. However why would anyone use these 2 attack in the first place... >>;
