Pokémon mansion blocked doors?

Yes, we have all seen those two maids in the Pokémon mansion, blocking those doors. What do you think is behind those doors? Does anyone know? I believe there are Pokémon behind those doors, because when the butler goes out, he goes and fetches those type of Pokémon that rich guy says there are. What do you think?

Peanutassailant May 4th, 2008 8:02 AM

good question.

a mate of mine has a AR so i might ask him to walk through walls and see what he finds :P

but yea, it would be interesting to see what is behind the doors, maybe there is pokemon, or maybe lots of items :D

El Gofre May 4th, 2008 8:03 AM

Game-wise, they're empty
Narrative-wise, it's probably just the rest pf his house. If i had a mansion I would want people going into my bedrooms robbing stuff. That or it's his secret pokemon-cloning laboratory :P

AJ™ May 4th, 2008 8:04 AM

I did that once with walk anywhere.
the doors lead to nowhere.

So the only posibility is that you have a KEY ITEM.
you talk to one of them,
it activates a piece of code in the game,
and you go somewhere.

icycatelf May 4th, 2008 8:06 AM

I'd say the doors are just there to make the mansion look more realistic. Most likely, the doors have no significance.

Toblerone May 4th, 2008 8:12 AM

Ahh, so how do you explain the rich guy whispering to his butler? The butler says the type of Pokémon doesn't exist in the garden.. then they start whispering.. so, maybe those doors lead to some sort of place where he keeps Pokémon? Hmm..

AJ™ May 4th, 2008 8:15 AM

OR. the butler goes to check and see?

El Gofre May 4th, 2008 8:18 AM

ORRRR some people just whisper because they dont want nosey kids hearing. A lack of explanation does not make something else true.

Toblerone May 4th, 2008 8:18 AM

Possible theory there. I still think mine will fit in with those blocked off doors, though.

Archayos May 4th, 2008 8:23 AM

Yeah, I agree with Kouga on that one. If you were a game developer yourself, you'd know. Every so often I put random houses on my maps to make it more decorative, but have the door of the house saying "This door is locked".

Perhaps Nintendo/GameFreak has done the same thing? I highly doubt that it has any significance.

~*Champion Shirona*~ May 6th, 2008 7:19 PM

There are million little things like that in the game people. >.>. I mean come on....there in nothing behind those doors. Will you ever find out? NO? So why stress over them? There in nothing, it's just a couple of doors in a beautiful mansion minding there own business, nothing else......No Arceus. x.x

:16:

Toblerone May 6th, 2008 11:15 PM

I just wanted poeple to say what they think is behind those doors. And, how could there be Arceus behind one of those doors?? We all know it is based above the Hall Of Origin.

Kojima May 6th, 2008 11:22 PM

There's nothing there people. Ah, who cares on what the people whisper about. It could just be that their friend died...

Trainer Trance May 6th, 2008 11:25 PM

Omg! I no ezzaktly wat is bhind thos doors! it'z the bodys of all the people kil'd n the eterna forset manshun!!!

...

Seriously people, come on, they're just doors that were put there to make it look like an actual mansion, the women guarding them were put there to make it seem like it's just rooms that you don't have access to so that the guy can have some privacy.

The man is obviously a pathological liar and is telling you the stories about the Pokémon running up to kiss him on the cheek or whatever so that he can sound more interesting, his butler runs out of the room to release said Pokémon in the garden so that his lord doesn't sound like a total idiot.

Toblerone May 6th, 2008 11:27 PM

Thats exactly what i think, really. But i guess they have no significance towards the game, gives him privacy.. but nothing else.

dewie68 May 7th, 2008 8:26 AM

i say it's a future event that you get an item and then talk to them and they let you in.

Patchy May 7th, 2008 9:39 AM

No people. If it was of any importance, the game's coding would've had it sucked out by now.

THERE IS NOTHING THERE.

:)

That's what Nintendo wants us to think...

I think that those doors are where you get the new Poketch apps when you download them from a Nintendo event.

The guy in the little green hat at the Mart may just give you a "note" that you give to give to the butler, who unlocks the room. Then you go inside to battle (or solve some other form of a challenge) to win the app.

AJ™ May 8th, 2008 4:20 PM

and the point of new apps would be?...

Crazy Weavile May 8th, 2008 4:21 PM

Nothing of the sort in the code, AFAIK. There's no "note", and there are no undiscovered events. Pure fanfic.

Young Stunna' May 8th, 2008 4:29 PM

All of you people who say there is nothing back there are wrong!!!

When you use the AR to walk there an arrow pops up just like when you walk through stuff but it takes you nowhere. I think its something like pal park because I tried to walk through that pal park door with the AR and it just takes your right past it...

Coming soon: 'The Closed Doors'! What is hiding behind those doors in the mansion? Pokemon? Unused Shampoo? Or something else? Coming to a fanfic section near you!
;)

Which means...

A. Nothings there,
B. An event triggers it.

No we're not. It would've been found it the coding by now. Those three Pokétch apps are most likely gotten from the same place you get them normally; Jubilife. Of course AR takes you past it, I tried myself. The arrows are there because it's an exit, like all other exits in the game.

I CAN promise that you'll never get beyond those doors to find anything.

I'm 1000000% sure, :).

Toblerone May 9th, 2008 10:40 AM

1000000% Percent sure? Thats VERY sure!! I do like the theory of the Pokétch apps, though.

AJ™ May 9th, 2008 11:29 AM

The seriously wouldn't hide a "SECRET POKEAPP"

They are suckish to begin with :P

Patchy May 9th, 2008 11:53 AM

Well, they've actually hidden three. You get them from events. But they're not behind those doors because there's nothing there.

btw, Toblerone, yep I'm very sure. :p

AJ™ May 9th, 2008 11:56 AM

If they hid 3, it'd be in the coding, wouldn't it. So hackers should already have them?

Mew of Friendship May 9th, 2008 6:11 PM

Yes... hackers... like me!!!

Motsuko Live May 9th, 2008 7:13 PM

Actually, anyone here who has worked on Pokemon ROMS should know that just because you can walk through it doesn't mean there's nothing there.

When working on a ROM, entrances/exit's are called "Warps". They warp you from one map to another. For example, when you enter a PokeCenter, you're being warped from outside of that PokeCenter, to inside of that PokeCenter; a different map. Get it? Well, in order to make a warp function properly, you need to tell it which other warp it's going to warp to. So this means that by editing a few pieces of code, I can make the outside of the PokeCenter in Jubilife City warp to Team Galactic's warehouse. This being said, what if you recieve an item, which triggers a certain warp to become active on those doors, which link to ???. Something special, no doubt.

Keep in mind, this is just a though. There is probably nothing there, and even if there is, the chances of me guessing how it works dead on is 1 in however many different possibilities there are.

CrazyGamester May 9th, 2008 7:52 PM

I reckon it's just there to make the AMAZINGLY BIG MANSION look big.

I saw screenshots. There's one for Poke day care compatability (sp?), one's an alarm and the third one is i-forget-what. Hackers can get them, but I don't know the codes. They do exist, though.

And if there was something behind the doors, it would've been found. I'M POSITIVE. But, meh, you don't believe me. :p lol.

EDIT: Look here for details of all the Pokétch apps.

Believe me now? :p

Really? No. I don't, because why would they put 3 Poketch apps into the Pokemon Mansion, of all places? They will probably be obtained just like EVERY SINGLE OTHER EVENT: In the Pokemon Center, from the dude in green.

mcash7 May 10th, 2008 11:13 AM

I dont know why its so hard to wrap your heads around the fact that there is nothing behind those doors, It cant be an event nor a poketech app because they arent really doors, there just like a decaration like a painting or a clock you would see on a wall in a pokemon game(Seriousily guys, there was no data coded in there, It has no purpose, and it would be impossible to recieve an event or app from nothing...does this make sense?)

No, no, no. :P
I wasn't saying they're behind the doors, I was saying they exist. I'm on the side that there's nothing there, lol. :P

I know what you mean, mcash7. It's like thinking that there must be something beyond the rocks in R/B/Y. (Which there isn't.)
But if people don't beleive it, we'll just wait for the events. \(O.O)/

poke_master May 17th, 2013 9:47 AM

That will likely crash the game. I tried this with the grass to the side of pallet town in my yellow once years ago, THREE times and all attempts ended with the game crashing when the screen flashed to indicate a pokemon encounter.

If the area was not meant to be accessed it probably was not designed.
