Gold Party (currently training)?
I always seem to have trouble with a good selection of teams and sometimes I can't get the movesets right. Right now I am trying to level up my pokemon. Here's what I have now:
Eevee: 24 -Tackle -Quick Attack -Shadow Ball -Growl Quilava: 32 w/Charcoal -Tackle -Quick Attack -Smokescreen -Flame Wheel Ampahros: 30 w/Quick Claw -Headbutt -Cotton Spore -Thunderpunch -Thunder Wave Noctowl: 28 -Fly -Hypnosis -Reflect -Peck Jumpluff: 28 -Poisonpowder -Synthesis -Sleep Powder -Tackle Gyrados: 23 -Splash -Tackle -Surf -Strength I don't really use Gyrados all too much and I want to replace it with another water type, I just missed Friday so I have to wait another week before catching a Lapras but what else is out there? I was thinking of catching a Remoraid by I am not sure if you can get in gold. Any suggestions? Thanks |
Why not use a Shiny Gyarados?
|
Try Starmie so you'll also have a Psychic type or Quagsire for Earthquake. BTW, what are you going to evolve your Eevee into?

I gave you suggestions in the other thread you posted, and I don't think you took any of them. They still apply, use them if you want. Don't spam threads though.

Trust me i took your advice, I always liked Noctowl so I do prefer him over Pidgeot but I wanted opinions. The Bellosom moveset seems awesome I really like your moveset but those things were for the Crystal version. In this thread I am talking about my Gold version pokemon party

My edit for this team is in bold. Next time, make sure you get a HM slave.
Jolteon - Quick Attack - Thunder Shock - Double Kick - Pin Missle Typhlosion - Quick Attack - Flame Wheel - Swift - Flamethrower Ampharos - Tackle - Thunder Shock - Thunder Wave - Thunder Punch Noctowl - Tackle - Peck - Take Down - Confusion Jumpluff - Sleep Powder - Leech Seed - Stun Spore - Mega Drain Gyarados - Dragon Rage - Twister - Hydro Pump - Hyper Beam |

I'm gonna have to edit that a little. Typhlosion - Thunderpunch - Earthquake - Flamethrower - Not sure on last one but probly Smokescreen And Gyarados does not need Hydro Pump AND Hyper Beam. Too moves with only 5 PP does not mix with a move with a set amount of Damage and a weak move like Twister. |

If you want a good water type, try Slowbro/Slowking. Lapras is also good, but consider whether you want STAB in Ice Beam or Psychic. IIRC you can get Remoraid in Route 44, but I'm not sure. |
What about Remoraid? Is it decent enough to have?
|
Well Octillery has slightly lower defenses (75) but great attacks (105) and somewhat slow (45 Speed).
It can learn some good moves as well (Ice Beam, Surf, Psybeam) and Move Tutor 1 and 2 (I forgot what are those, but IIRC Flamethrower and Ice Beam). Round that off with Return and you're set. |

It's Crystal, IIRC. But Serebii says on Route 44, (fishing) and quite rare.
If you can't deal with Pokemon that has low Defense, then use Slowbro/Slowking. Or Kingdra. EDIT: Yeah, I think it's Crystal. Just checked my Pokedex and Remoraid's nest is not anywhere on the screen. |
