No … I always make sense.

It's a real disease D:
Click... that's a random image. And I'm not actually showing the picture to TCTI without clicking, it's disgusting. XD

And you... don't always make sense.

THIRTY-SIX May 20th, 2008 3:17 AM

Wouldn't a person usually get amputated?
31550.

Ho-Oh May 20th, 2008 3:18 AM

31551

I dunno how they get rid of it. Some medicine?
I just happened to see it when we watched some video on parasites last year for no reason. XD

Shiranui May 20th, 2008 3:22 AM

31552.

I heard that they can't get rid of it o.o

Lets ask wikipedia...

Quote:

The current first-line treatment of lymphatic filariasis is diethylcarbamazine. Medicines to treat lymphatic filariasis are most effective when used soon after infection, but they do have some toxic side effects. In addition, the disease is difficult to detect early.

Another form of effective treatment involves rigorous cleaning of the affected areas of the body. Several studies have shown that these daily cleaning routines can be an effective way to limit the symptoms of lymphatic filariasis. The efficacy of these treatments suggests that many of the symptoms of elephantiasis are not directly a result of the lymphatic filariasis but rather the effect of secondary skin infections.

Also, surgical treatment may be helpful for issues related to scrotal elephantiasis and hydrocele. However, surgery is generally ineffective at correcting elephantiasis of the limbs.

A vaccine is not yet available and is likely to be developed in the near future.
So yeah... :O

Shiranui May 20th, 2008 3:28 AM

31554.

So someone can get rid of it, but it's difficult to do? o.o

Ho-Oh May 20th, 2008 3:30 AM

31555

Yeah, I think so... but all I know is I'd hate to get it. Good thing I don't live near places that it commonly occurs in. XD;

Shiranui May 20th, 2008 3:33 AM

31556.

As in... Africa? xD

Darn, I just realised I need to know about some stuff on diseases :\

Ho-Oh May 20th, 2008 3:35 AM

31557

Well now you can learn about that one. XD
And yeah, places like that... um, third world countries?

Shiranui May 20th, 2008 3:37 AM

31558.

Nah, I need stuff on specific diseases. I think sickle cell anaemia is one of them. Also haemophilia. -goes to check-

Ho-Oh May 20th, 2008 3:39 AM

31559

Well human bio stuff is boring.

So lets go back to talking about that thing with the feet. XDD

Shiranui May 20th, 2008 3:43 AM

31560.

Ooh, someone with sickle cell anaemia isn't affected by malaria :O

-shot'd-

But I don't need to know stuff about feet o.o

THIRTY-SIX May 20th, 2008 3:46 AM

Your … brain is killing my cell =O
31561.

Shiranui May 20th, 2008 3:48 AM

31562.

Which cell am I killing? xD

Ho-Oh May 20th, 2008 3:49 AM

31563

I'm bored though, and I seem to think I know what I'm talking about, so basically, while something is good keep on about it? I have no clue what I mean now... but that was expected (... and I just completely forgot how to spell expected. XD;) because I don't normally understand me in the end because I end up not making sense because I think I know the stuff I'm on about... WHEN REALLY I DON'T. I know Neighbours though :D I can talk LOTS about that show. All the characters, what is happening, etc. I LOVE NEIGHBOURS. It was pretty awesome last year too, when the warehouse fell in, and now with this guy supposedly dying, WHO KILLED HIM? I so hope he doesn't come back to life or anything. Or was faking his death. In which case that'd be awesome and make the show even greater and end up infact killing my least favourite characters and my favourites performing again! ... I imagine things too much. XD

Shiranui May 20th, 2008 3:50 AM

31564.

Oh my, that's a lot to read...

THIRTY-SIX May 20th, 2008 3:52 AM

I got bored of reading and then I realised I have to say my brain cell… singular… xD;
31565.

Ho-Oh May 20th, 2008 3:53 AM

31566

I wrote all that and nobody can be stuffed to read it?

Should I be offended? XDD

THIRTY-SIX May 20th, 2008 3:55 AM

I type things all the time. So you shouldn't xD
31567.

Shiranui May 20th, 2008 3:56 AM

31568.

I think so.

I read the first two lines o.o

THIRTY-SIX May 20th, 2008 3:57 AM

Huzzah for beating pikabloo o.o
31569.

Ho-Oh May 20th, 2008 3:58 AM

31570

But I read all your posts.

If you post overnight though, I'd only skim-read Went's and Akari's posts in the morning.

THIRTY-SIX May 20th, 2008 4:07 AM

Skim reading is a myth.
31571.

Ho-Oh May 20th, 2008 4:09 AM

31572

How do you figure that?

I skim read all the time. I skim read conversations, I skim read anything that isn't by my main friends. XD;
