Cloned Vs. Hacked??

Remember during JAA when they took the winners' game packs and checked to verify that there were no hacks? Well if a Pokemon is cloned using AR will it carry any remnants of illegitimacy?
I want to clone all of my competitive pokemon and store them on pokemon ranch. But if I never need to use them for some reason I want to know that they aren't considered fake due to their secret ids or as far as WII PBR is concerned. Thanks

Well, I think cloning using an AR will be considered hacked. I believe if they detect you've even used an Action Replay, GameShark, etc. you'll be disqualified from any tournament. I think if it is cloned using an AR, it will be considered illegitimate. If your thinking of using them in Pokemon Showdown, you may not want to clone them, or do anything with an Action Replay. I would consider them illegitimate if you use the AR to clone, however, I don't think Nintendo can tell you've cloned using the GTS to clone, which I think will be considered legitimate.

Action replay changes the sequence of codes in your game cart.
Which means - yes, they can find out.

If you use AR, they will find out, and most likely disqualify you.

Hmmmm, but I wonder if there is a way were it can be undetectable....
Like there is a few sites that makes it were u can hide ur IP address, like there could be a hack that hides ur hacks....hmmm I haz no idea...O__O

but them sites dont "hide" your ip address, they just show there own IP instead, go search proxy servers on wikipedia for that.

its differant in game, you cant really hide the code, perhaps in future someone will make a hack realistic enough so that the code still looks real, but i doubt it for some time

Pretty much, if Nintendo does decide to do the same thing that they did for JAA, people who have PokeSav'd or hacked their games, are definitely going to be disqualified. However, just because the Pokemon "Looks Real" doesn't mean that they won't be able to check to see its legitimacy. They probably have expert hack checkers that use unknown equipment.

From what Ive heard is that to figure whether th pokemon is hacked is if you look for the secret code, but you can easily overcome this as there is a cheat out there for the AR to obtain your Secret ID and enter it in when making your pokemon

Yes, but I don't understand how they would figure that out. I mean, I've never owned an AR, but does it show the code of the Pokemon you have, on the AR?

Ryuzaki_Lawliet June 1st, 2008 4:38 AM

Not the code of the pokemon, the code of the cheat that you used to get the pokemon. Even if you took the AR out, if they had devices that could pick up the history of the game, you would be disqualified, and that would be that. But I really don't see how they could figure something like that out, even with machines o.o;

Lephisto June 1st, 2008 11:38 PM

So at this tourney they used machines to detect these codes gap? Because I dont get how yo detedct codes like that if they are hacked or not? If this inforamtion on how to mAKE POKEMON NOT look like hacks, Im pretty sure someone will invent or make a program to bypass this.

What if your traded a hacked pokemon? Will it mess with your codes?
