Create-A-Gym Leader-Name!

Alright, here are all the types:

Bug
Dark
Dragon
Electric
Fighting
Flying
Fire
Ghost
Grass
Ground
Ice
Normal
Poison
Psychic
Rock
Steel
Water

The object of this "game", you could say, is to come up with a Gym Leader name and give an explanation about why that name goes with that type. For example

(Rock-type - Brock: Name has the word "rock" in it.)

The name has to make sense and must be a reasonable name. Nothing like this:

(Water-type - Waterella) Waterella is not a real type of name. Understood? Now begin!

I'll start.

Fire-type - Bernie: First syllable of name sounds like "burn"

The Bringer! June 4th, 2008 8:02 PM

I'm not exactly sure how to spell it, but Seamus would work for a water gym leader because it's first syllable is like the word sea.

Gerri Shin June 4th, 2008 9:50 PM

Amber: a female Rock type leader.
Amber fits because Amber is the term given to a piece of petrified tree sap. Amber is also within the realm of Geology and as we all know geology is the study of Earth and Rocks.

.Eevee-Chan June 5th, 2008 8:49 PM

Sakura a grass type gymleader,Sakura is a type of flower.

The Bringer! June 5th, 2008 9:47 PM

Augustine for a flying gym because the word gust is in it. Or something like that.

Her June 5th, 2008 10:31 PM

Psychic: David Copperfield.
David is psychic.

.Eevee-Chan June 6th, 2008 6:04 PM

Coal is not a real name. Maybe Nicole would be better.

.Eevee-Chan June 8th, 2008 1:54 PM

oh ok,sorry.

Haily an ice leader, her name includes the word hail.

Hiroshi Uwishicarwei June 9th, 2008 9:08 AM

Icibuun
(ee-see-biuun-[uun is oon])
She specializes in Ice and Fire traits.
The "Ici-" part reminds her of her favorite kind of mountains; Snowy mountains.
The "-buun" part tells about her love of Fire pokemon. She is a top 10 breeder. She can be pretty tough to beat.
The part of her gym can be like a Ice field. The next part can be a firey maze. *Be sure to carry a fire exquister. *Can't spell it...*

Blazekick doom June 9th, 2008 9:16 AM

Drandil
Dragon types
"Dra" part is part of Dragon. heheh

Disturbed June 20th, 2008 6:38 AM

He could also be fighting xD.
Rose, which could be a grass gym I guess. Grant, rock, cause it's like granite. Also, I never got how Sabrina had to do with psychic.

"Electra/Elektra" goes well with Electric because of the these sylables "E-Lec-t.../E-Lek-t...".

"Bruce & Jackie" goes with fighting because of "Bruce Lee & Jackie Chan" and they could be Joined together in the same gym and own a "Hitmonlee & Hitmonchan".

I thought it was because of Sabrina the Teenage Witch or something, lol.

Anyway:

Reggie - Normal. Reggie can be derived from the word Regular.

(Example: Norman: Normal. Whitney: White)

261Poochyena June 26th, 2008 9:38 AM

Russet *a type of potatoe*, Terrance, for earth

Name: Bruce
Type: Fighting
Reason: Fighting types r "brutes" and the "bru" in Bruce could be considered a brute, otherwise known as a fighting type.

d_disaster June 26th, 2008 1:08 PM

Estelle... kind of like steel!

And Gordan... anagram of Dragon. Although it's actually spelt Gordon... well I tried :D

orangejediman June 26th, 2008 1:11 PM

That's not a real name.
Think of one that someone would actually name their kid.

Kim Do-yeon June 26th, 2008 10:22 PM

"Orson" which sounds like "Arson" a word for "Firestarter" that goes well with "Fire Types".
