Pokemon Gold team (in near future)

I just want opinions I was thinking my team to look like this: Typhlosion, Alakazam, Noctowl, Starmie, Vileplume/Bellossom, and Ampharos. Some other ones I am considering

-Heracross
-Donphan
-Scizor
-Snorlax
-Sunflora
-Gengar
-Lapras

Not entirely sure I know I want special sweepers in Typhlosion, Starmie, and Alakazam. I also need a Grass type so Vileplume or Bellossom are the next best thing since I didn't pick Chikorita. Noctowl because it has Hypnosis/Dream Eater/Nightmare combo and is flying. I am not sure whether to use Ampharos or not. It looks cool and I wish you could hold more than just six pokemon. At least 8 =/ maybe. So looking at what I listed what do you guys suggest? I am trying to make a tough team to go up against friends as well. Help is appreciated

from what I'm looking at you should battle with those Pokemon. That seems like a pretty good team to me, although I really can't remember anything much of GSC when it came to battling

How many of these threads have you made? Stick with a team someone else posted please. It's quite annoying posting so many teams only for you to ignore them and remake a thread.

ignore who? I never ignore anyone in my life, well unless it was someone being rude. I am just asking because I restarted my Gold version team so the other couple of posts are irrelevant. Geez this is suppose to be conversing, the IWC is just so ruthless. Well fine i'll leave, goodnight the oh great King

Puns at my name? :O

Seriously, you can restart a game, but you should have an idea of what you want for you're Gold team

Sorry I am only human, i'm not a rocket scientist, I simply asked for assistance and then I get shunned down. I just recently got back into pokemon what do you expect? I lost touch with pokemon after 2003

Hmm...

Typhlosion, Starmie and Alakazam are pretty good at sweeping. I would keep those.

For your grass type, I would go with Sunflora or Victreebel. Sunflora's Petal Dance and Victreebrel's Sludge Bomb and Razor Leaf actually will work wonders against Red.

After that, I guess you would need a wall of some kind. Snorlax would be a good choice, since it has high HP, Attack, and can has a powerful rest/Snore or SleepTalk combo

Finally, I would go with Scizor. It only has 1 weakness, and it has High Attack and Speed, so it can be a great all around pokemon.

Thanks your idea was helpful the only thing is picking a Grass-type is pretty hard to be honest I may go with a Heracross since he's pretty powerful. Sunflora only downfall is it's extremely low speed, if he/she had the speed I would definately use it. I may still use idk. I really don't like Victreebel too much so it's got to be between Jumpluff, Bellossom, Vileplume or Sunflora. Which of the 4 would be best to go with?

As for a wall you are right. Hmm....is Snorlax the only type of wall? I know he can take hits but his movepool is hard to come up with. If I use Snorlax he has to be perfect lol

Jumpluff doesn't learn that many attacks so I would go with either Bellosom or Vileplume- most likely Vileplume. Also, Snorlax isn't the only wall out there. I would also try breaking in a Blissey or Wobbuffet for a wall. A Forretress might also be a good wall, seing how its only weak to fire(and how rare fire types are in Gold)
