Displaying codes on a page

I don't know how to place codes on a page without them turning into the thing themselves. I need help on this!

If you don't understand that, here's an example...

Let's say we have a banner for a Pokemon Fan club. Well, people have to place this banner into their signature, so, we need to have a code. The problem here is, if you just display the code, it will turn into the banner itself. How do you display a code by itself? Yeah... that's my question...

If you still have no idea what I mean by "codes", look at this page.

Yeah, I know that's the Shiny Gold thread, but look at the spoiler under "Bannerland". There are codes to put in your sig under each and every banner. But, look AROUND the codes. Yes, they are in a box that says 'HMTL code:' above them. Now, the question is, how to display that box.

If you STILL can't understand, I can't explain it any further... That would be hard...

And please don't post a post that says "I don't get it." I don't want to explain it anymore, and if I explain it to you, there's a 80% chance you won't know the awnser to the questions anyways...

[html]This is what appears inside the box.[/html]

will give you

HTML Code:

This is what appears inside the box.

Check the FAQ for more examples of other BB code you can use.

Wow, thanks! Such a complicated question with such a simple awnser! (Or maybe I just typed my question complicated... <__< Yeah, that's probably it.) Anyways, thanks for awnsering.

Edit: Yeah, some Super Moderator or Admin should lock this thread now...

there is also a no parse code [noparse] bb code here [/noparse]

so for example.. a banner link would be:
[noparse][url=http://www.somesite.com/][img]http://www.somesite.com/images/image.png[/img][/url] [/noparse] which would look like:
[url=http://www.somesite.com/][img]http://www.somesite.com/images/image.png[/img][/url]

I knew that one already. Oh well, it's nice to have one to refer to. ^__^
