Which starter did you choose?

Which starter did you choose?
Squirtle
Charmander
Bulbasaur
Torchic
Mudkip
Treeko

I chose torchic for ruby and sapphire
I chose charmander for fr/lg

Vie June 28th, 2008 12:36 AM

I chose torchic and charmander... I always choose the fire pokemon.

Ninja Caterpie June 28th, 2008 3:19 AM

I chose Treecko.
Then I chose Treecko again because Sceptile is simply awesome.
In FR/LG, I chose Charmander, then somehow started liking Squirtle.

MoonlightUmbreon June 28th, 2008 3:24 AM

Ruby: Torchic
Sapphire: Mudkip
FR: Charmander
LG: Squirtle
Emerald: Treecko.

Notice that Ruby is red and Torchic is Fire which is red, Sapphire is blue and Mudkip is Water which is blue, and then Emerald is green and Treecko is grass which is green!

lostmymind June 28th, 2008 3:58 AM

I chose Squirtle for FR/LG cause I love it to bits and always go with the water starter, lol. But I kinda broke my own rule with R/S, I chose Mudkip the first time but the second time round went with Torchic. I def preferred playing it with Torchic. Blaziken was so awesome.

st.jimmy June 28th, 2008 4:01 AM

squirtle is well cool...to be honest iv started each game again like 4 times so i picked all of them but...i chose squirtle and treeko first

angelsavoir June 28th, 2008 3:36 PM

Emerald: I choose Torchic this time, last time I choose mudkip.
Leafgreen: Charmander

dark_Uxie June 29th, 2008 12:55 PM

Emerald:Treecko because i think thats the hardest starter for R/S/E and i like a pokemon game with a challenge plus ive completed the game already with Torchic and Mudkip.
Firered:Squirtle because its cool XD.

PokeFan187 June 29th, 2008 1:03 PM

for my Ruby i chose Torchic and for mt Firered I chose Squirtle XP

spike6958 June 29th, 2008 1:15 PM

I picked Bulbasaur for my latest FireRed playthrough and Torchic for Emerald

Kasugya June 29th, 2008 1:26 PM

On Sapphire(which I can't play anymore, I broke my GBA!) I chose Mudkip, because I always choose the water starter. I like how they always evolve faster, or at least seem like it.

PB. June 29th, 2008 1:34 PM

I've chosen them all, but the first times i picked Mudkip and Charmander, personal prefrence, thats what I always use to choose my starter for the first time i play.

sanny the hedgehog June 29th, 2008 2:05 PM

squirtle and treeko, because their just to awesome!

Kingdra678 June 29th, 2008 2:25 PM

Fire Red- Charmander
Leaf Green- Bulbasaur
Emerald- Torchic
Saphire- Mudkip
Ruby- Treeko

Virtual Chatot July 1st, 2008 5:42 AM

I always pick the fire types, excluding RSE, where I'll always pick Treecko <3

Eagledawn July 1st, 2008 5:42 AM

I've restarted numerous times so I've used all of them. For my current Emerald file, I'm using Blaziken.

Binary July 1st, 2008 7:29 AM

I always pick fire-types. Torchic, Charmander and all. Besides, they rock XD.

SpeedTrainer47 July 1st, 2008 8:33 AM

mudkip and bulbasaur...water pokemon FTW
but fire when it comes to most situations lol

poisonspark July 1st, 2008 9:02 AM

Well for a trainer like me... xD the strongest pokémon is the best pokémon. I don´t prefer Treecko or Mudkip because Treecko won´t have any good attacks and Mudkip´s attack stat is just so horrible so that´s the reason why I choose always Torchic. It has the highest attack stats and whit Sky Uppercut and Blaze Kick you are able to beat e4.

In LG and FR I prefer Charmander because its attacks and its moves are much more better ones. Venusaur I think is pretty useless peace of junk and Blastoise is way too easy to beat.

t3hjolteon July 1st, 2008 11:57 AM

I chose Mudkip in my initial run through Sapphire, and Squirtle in both my first run through Red and through Leaf Green. My very first pick was always the Water starter until Diamond (I choose Chimchar instead)

ChronicEdge July 1st, 2008 1:09 PM

In every single game that I've ever owned except for Diamond (Where I picked Turtwig) and Yellow (where you were Pika-Screwed), I've picked the fire starter. Now all I have is FR and EM, with Charmander and Blaziken. After I migrate them to my Diamond, I'm going to restart and get the waters.

Glaceon_ July 1st, 2008 4:20 PM

For me, it was:

Ruby & Sapphire: Torchic & Treecko (respectively)
Emerald: Torchic
FireRed: Charmander
LeafGreen: Squirtle

For RSE, I chose what I did, because I wasn't, and still am not, keen on Mudkip; despite the advantages it holds. Torchic was the first Fire type I chose from first playing a Generation-based game, (since Generation I & II had me choosing Squirtle and Totodile, respectively) Treecko, again, was chosen over Mudkip because of my disliking for it, and currently, I still have never used Mudkip, except for Marshtomp; its evolution, in a Battle Tent.

I obtained LeafGreen, first, and thus, continued my choice of starting with the Water type Starter, since other than Generation III, the Water type was a high-stander for me, above the other types for that Generation, but due to the different Legendary dogs you could obtain, in FR/LG, when I obtained FireRed, I chose Charmander, to obtain the next Legendary dog. (as I had obtained Raikou, from LG, and already restarted with Bulbasaur)

The Bringer! July 1st, 2008 4:49 PM

I've used pretty much every starter because I reset so much, but currently it's:
Ruby-Torchic
Sapphire-Torchich
Emerald-Mudkip (I was able to nick name it IHerdULiek XD)
Leaf Green-Squirtle

蜃気楼 July 1st, 2008 5:07 PM

I used Chimchar, Torchic.
