what is the best route for hatching pokemon????

i think the best route is the one beside the daycare it takes you up hills and goes wit u for just under 100 steps

Matt-O July 2nd, 2008 11:08 AM

If you get in the right place by the day care you can go up and down for 123 steps in one direction.

Yes, that is easily the best place to ride around in order to hatch eggs. Just going up and down again can get you to 200 steps per trip easily, which means an easy hatch combined with Magma Body/Flame Armor.

I go to the cycling road. And go back and forth, that's how I hatch

Yep that's what I've always used too, only I don't have the Magma Body/Flame Armor, but I do have the Soothe Bell.

Are you crazy?

"Yes, lets take our eggs from one town, fly to another, hop on the cycling road, fly back to the other town, get more eggs, and repeat"

I was thinking of posting this same question just a few days ago.
Good work Stratomaster!

I use the same route as the rest of you, up and down between Hallowed Tower and Cafe Cabin.

There are also 12 spots for berries along that route (if you're into that sort of thing.) ^.^

Funny that I'm looking at this topic while holding my DS with my left hand and biking that exact route to hatch Feebas eggs.

I'm actually doing the same thing, with a Pokemon I've been breeding. XD

So yeah; I use Solaceon Town and its connected Routes to hatch my eggs, since its as simple as up and down, until they hatch. Its easier than blending berries, on Pokemon RSE, which I managed to get such a rhythm going, I could almost do it without looking... XD;;

There is a route that i think gets you 132 or something.. ill edit when i finish catching Azelf

Never mind it was the one by the daycare

I usually take the route between the daycare, but if i want to make it more fun, i use the route between sunnyshore and lake valor, and circle around. Only reason i do that is if i dont have anything else to do (like if im in a car/bus or something for a while), it makes it at least feel like im doing something while i hatch it, instead of boringly going up and down. Not sure if its actually faster, but it feels it when your doing more than switching between up and down every few seconds. Just my opinion ^^

Well it's not faster or slower, for the most part, because it's the same amount of steps. The only difference in speed is the amount of times you slow down when changing directions, or things like hops/slopes that don't count as steps. If you turn sharply enough and there's no ledges or anything, that one is probably faster since the other one has two slopes each way. But I still prefer the Daycare route because it doesn't take much concentration, I can do it while not looking at the game and just listen for when I hit the edge. Plus I typically hatch it right in front of the daycare so I can go right ahead and switch around to get the next egg.

yeah. As i said, I only usually use that route when I don't have anything else to look at but the game, lol. If I was...lets say, on the forums or something, I would just do the daycare route, cause as you said, I don't need to pay attention for anything other than the bump or the click when the message shows up. After a little while you can turn flawlessly (making the correct sharp turns) in the route, so i would assume its a bit faster, but again, more concentration. When i am gonna use the route, i usually bulk up on all the eggs i need, as i usually don't need any more than one or two as it is.

I when I was hatching manaphy, went on top of Sunnyshore on the solar pannels. But when i was hatching Riolu, I rode from Hearthome to pastoria to Snowpoint then my friend rode all the way from Sandgem all the way to the cycle road (not as far). Either one works as well as each other.

Roy G. Biv July 4th, 2008 3:38 AM

I think we've reached a common concensus, but I want to get my word in too. I would always use that loooong stretch of straightforward path by the Day-Care.

It's obviously a secret though, since so little people seem to know about it...[/sarcasm]

Zebadon July 4th, 2008 7:49 AM

Try Hearthrome's bike route. I hatch all my chimchars there.

Jabunks July 4th, 2008 9:44 AM

Obviously, he anwswer is Seabreakpath or the daycare route

Yuoaman July 4th, 2008 2:10 PM

Always the Daycare route, there are over 200 steps both ways, so it's a no-brainer really...
