I need help with the Elite 4

Dialga lv 48
Uxie lv50
Mesprit lv50
Flareon lv45
Torterra lv45
Golduck lv43
Staraptor lv43
Luxray lv50

Those are my highest guys. Out of them who should i use for my team?
(i know i will have to train them)

and i also have a driftblim lv30 but i dont know if i should use him because he levels up really slow

PB. July 3rd, 2008 7:46 AM

Go for a good mix,

Torterra, Luxray, Golduck, Straptor, Flareon and Uxie.

Or Swap one for Dialga, just think which Pokemon will best defeat the Pokemon your going to come up against.

1st Elite uses Bug Types--Take Staraptor and Flareon
2nd Elite uses Ground/Rock--Take Torterra and Golduck
3rd Elite uses Fire--Take Golduck and a Pokemon w/ Rock Moves
4th Elite uses Psychic--Take Flareon, Staraptor, and a pokemon w/ Dark/Ghost moves

Champion uses Assortments

I'd say take Staraptor, Flareon, Golduck, Torterra, Luxray, and a poke w/ Rock+Ghost moves. Hope this helps.

JKLAZ July 3rd, 2008 7:50 AM

What pokemon uses rock and ghost?

I looked and theres none

I think Dialga over Flareon, because really, there's only one Pokemon you need a Fire type for, and that can easily be managed by Staraptor. Dialga would cover Cynthia's "trump card", and Torterra covers a fair few of Bug Boy's, while Staraptor can take care of the rest. Personally, I think Torterra (so long as it has Earthquake, or another decent Ground type move, as well as a Grass type move) would fair pretty good against most of the Pokemon in the elite Four.

To break it down:

Elite Four #1: Bugs - Use Torterra and you'll likely usually use Staraptor for most of them. (one of them isn't a bug type *hinthintnudgenudge* )

Elite Four #2: Ground - Torterra and Golduck, for the respective Pokemon. x4 Grass weakness on some.

Elite Four #3: Fire - funnily enough, you won't really need Water types, too much, but start out with Golduck. The rest, you can just choose from as you go. Torterra would do well here, if it can get hits in first, but I wouldn't risk it. Staraptor would do good for one.

Elite Four #4: Psychic - Luxray with Bite/Crunch and Torterra for the obvious Ground strength on one. Avoid using Golduck, if you can; Energy Ball doesn't like you.

Champion: Assorted - Start out with whatever. Use Dialga for her obvious "trump card", but watch for its speed. You can pretty much go through all your team, in this battle.

JKLAZ July 3rd, 2008 7:55 AM

Yeah torterra knows earthquake, wood hammer, Mega drain, and solarbeam. Thanks to all

D-puff July 3rd, 2008 7:55 AM

Staraptor- Cause as long as it has a flying move, it can take out the 1st guy with 1HKO's
Golduck- water moves can take out the fire guy (or carrot top as i call him)
Torterra- Ground woman (no, i dont remember names), especailly cause she has a few ground/waters
Flareon- backup on the obscure steel types
Dialga- Simply epic stats
Uxie/Azelf- Teach one of them shadow ball (which i assme can learn it) for the phychic guy

You might be able to put luxray in there somewhere, but it wont help too much in the long run, unless it can paralyze.

Theres not a Pokemon that learns both naturally but with TM's there are quite a loy (here are just a few): Medicham, Aggron and Lucario.

JKLAZ July 3rd, 2008 7:58 AM

:o i already used my shadow ball tm

EDIT: my riolu (whatever his name is) isnt that high of a level right now but i could train him

D-puff July 3rd, 2008 8:02 AM

well, pretty much any dark/ghost move they can learn could subtitute, or for that matter, anyone who can learn any dark/ghost moves. So maybe if Luxray knows crunch he could work. If not i can always trade some TMs if you have wifi.

JKLAZ July 3rd, 2008 8:23 AM

I have wifi.

Should i train driftblim or just use uxie(who has shadowball)

D-puff July 3rd, 2008 8:27 AM

Your best bet would actually be azelf, as its speed and sp.attack are higher than driftbilm, and uxie is made for defense rather than offense.

YOOM-TAH July 3rd, 2008 9:34 AM

Your biggest problem is Torterra only being level 45. He should be way higher and you also don't have the best moves. Giga Drain would be better than Mega Drain (obviously) and it would be better if you had Leaf Storm. Plus I like to keep Crunch on him because it takes out Ghost and Psychic types.

Also, a LOT of people here are forgetting that Flynt (the fire guy) only has 2 fire Pokemon, a Rapidash and an Infernape. After that he has a Lopunny, a Steelix, and a Drifblim. Also watch out for his Infernape as it knows Thunderpunch, so it can hurt water types.

Obviously train a lot more, especially Torterra. I'd also try to get Azelf over the other two because it actually is a useful fighter. Then take Luxray and Staraptor, Dialga and I guess Golduck.

But yeah I can't believe your Torterra is that low. Mine (without doing any special training or anything beforehand) was level 66 or so going into the E4 for the first time. Luxray of course wasn't as high as yours, but Torterra's stats and moveset are way more helpful. He can OHKO everyone on the second one (Ground).

Circuit July 3rd, 2008 11:36 AM

My pokemon were lvl 61's so you don't have to train that much. Anyway, I beat the E4 today and here are the E4's pokemon

1st:

Beautifly
Vespiquen
Drapion
Heracross

2nd:
Quagsire
Wishcash

Hippowdon
Golem

3rd:
Rapidash
Infernape
Steelix
Drifblim

4th:
Mr Mime
Alakasam

???(unsure of last three)

1st: use Staraptor and Torterra (for Earthquake)

2nd: Torterra all the way. Maybe Golduck if Torterra faints.

3rd: Golduck for first three then Lucario if you have him.

4th: Azelf if it knows Shadow Ball or Torterra if it faints.

Cynthia: All pokemon you have.

Hope that helps. =D And yeah, Torterra lvl 45?!? Get it up with your stongest but then all lvl 61

JKLAZ July 3rd, 2008 11:43 AM

Well, low 60's isn't really needed; I managed to beat the Elite Four with low-mid 50's, but I'd agree on the ones planned to be used being a bit higher in level; at least to Level 53 or 55.

JKLAZ July 3rd, 2008 12:48 PM

Yeah training is boring though x.x

So whos better Azelf or Mesprit i have both (and uxie)

Circuit July 3rd, 2008 12:51 PM

Mesprit by far. Uxie can be used as a wall, Azelf is good on offence and Mesprit is quite good on offence and defence and speed. Nothing else mind you. O_O?

JKLAZ July 3rd, 2008 12:55 PM

You know whats messed up,, my sister wouldnt even trade me her shadow ball :P
