Sweet Candace July 15th, 2009 12:34 PM

Hey, so sorry for not being active. This site gave me some problems loading up.

Favorite non-evolving Water-type Pokemon?
I would have to say Luvdisc over Relicanth.

♣Gawain♣ July 17th, 2009 5:43 AM

Favorite non-evolving Water-type Pokemon?

Magikarp. He pawns them all. Just joking. I like Luvdisc.

If legendary, Kyogre.

XxDawnfanxX July 17th, 2009 10:55 AM

It is great to see this group picking up activity again.

Here's a new topic:

Favorite kind of Water-types?

Are they solely Water-types, or are the dual-typed Pokemon?

st.jimmy July 18th, 2009 1:08 PM

completely water types!

i dont mind cross breeds though ;)

Halcyon July 18th, 2009 4:23 PM

Favorite kind of Water-types?
Dual-types rule! They can multi-task well. :P

Sweet Candace July 18th, 2009 4:39 PM

But most are still weak to Electric-types (excpet the Wooper line and Barboach line). But those who aren't are 4x weak to Grass-type Pokemon.

The two Pokemon who doesn't fit into this category are Kingdra and Palkia (because of Dragon-typing)!
That's why I love Kingdra! <3

Sweet Candace July 18th, 2009 5:01 PM

But those are weak against Dragon. And you never know. A powerful Electric-type attack could knock Palkia/Kingdra out.

Witch July 18th, 2009 5:08 PM

-I like them both, but I prefer only water-types

This sounds weird, but I'll give it a shot...

What non Water-type Pokemon that you wished was a Water-type? (or part Water)

Halcyon July 18th, 2009 5:20 PM

What non Water-type Pokemon that you wished was a Water-type? (or part Water)
It's strange that Dratini lives in the water and yet it isn't a Water-type. :P

Sweet Candace July 18th, 2009 5:23 PM

They could've made it Water/Dragon. But I guess they wanted to make Dratini the first pure Dragon-type...

Sweet Candace July 19th, 2009 10:45 AM

I don't think Dratini wouldn't make a good Water-type. But, hey, you guys think so.

st.jimmy July 21st, 2009 11:57 AM

id swap dratini for bibarel any day!

ugh, bibarel doesnt deserve water-type title ;)

Witch July 22nd, 2009 7:20 AM

ergh, I'd trade anything to get rid of that thing. & wingull too!

Sweet Candace July 22nd, 2009 9:16 AM

Too bad Wingull is the epitome of the average SEAgull.

Witch July 22nd, 2009 3:30 PM

lol thats why I have no flying on my team. I refuse to use Wingull or Pelliper

Sweet Candace July 22nd, 2009 3:50 PM

True. Bibarel is the epitome of the average beaver, a semiaquotic animal.

Witch July 23rd, 2009 10:15 AM

Witch July 23rd, 2009 8:01 PM

lol! I figured! Here's a question: Do you name any of your beloved water-types? & if so, what do you name them?

xSeduction July 25th, 2009 7:05 AM

-Peeks over a rock shyly-
Erm.. Hiii. Mind if I join? My name's Kayla, and it's quite obvious that I love water Pokemon.
My favorite trainer is Misty, of course.
And my favorite Pokemon has to be either Milotic or Dewgong.
But no, I don't give any of my Pokemon nicknames.
My mind isn't creative enough for that. :(

Edit: If you don't mind, I'd like to share which Pokemon I would have in my team if I were a gym leader.
Milotic
Dewgong
Vaporeon
Kingdra
Slowbro
Gyarados

Spinosaurus July 25th, 2009 7:07 AM

I'd like to join, Water types are my third favorite. =D
My favorite Water type is Spheal, Sharpedo and Wailmer.

Sweet Candace July 25th, 2009 7:29 AM

My favorite Water-types are Milotic, Vaporeon and Kingdra.

Witch July 25th, 2009 11:37 AM

I've added you both to the list ^^
Who is better? Kingler or Crawdaunt?

Spinosaurus July 25th, 2009 11:40 AM

I love them both, but I prefer Crawdaunt. It is also a dark type. 8D

Lol, Spheal is the cutest Water pokemon IMO.
But....I prefer the furious ones like Sharpedo. >=)

Sweet Candace July 27th, 2009 6:48 AM

I think the cutest would be Luvdisc or maybe Horsea.

xSeduction July 27th, 2009 6:55 AM

Magikarp, definitely.
LOLNOJK.
I'd say Horsea.. Or maybe Squirtle or Piplup.
I don't knowww. There are too many cute water Pokemonnnn. D:

Spinosaurus July 27th, 2009 6:57 AM

Politoad is actually the cutest evolved water pokemon, or maybe Azumarill.... I cant decide they are both cute. <3

xSeduction July 27th, 2009 7:17 AM

Tsk tsk. -Points to my signature-
Halt, thief!

Witch July 27th, 2009 7:50 AM

I think all the basic water starter forms are cute. ^^;; but I seriously can't pick just 1

Spinosaurus July 27th, 2009 7:59 AM

Well theres alot of Water pokemon thar arent cute.
Theres Sharpedo, Crawdunt, Gyarados, Feebas, Magikarp, Walerein, All starter's final evos, etc.
And the wierd thing is, the one aboves are the one I mostly like. x3

xSeduction July 27th, 2009 9:48 AM

^ Ambellina was talking about all the water starters were cute, not all water pokemon.
But pshh. I'm guessing you're male. Males have a tendency towards the not-so-cute, yet strong pokemon.
And actually, I think Magikarp is kind of cute in its own way.
Especially when it smiles in one of the Orange League anime episodes. The one with the erm.. very very tan Nurse Joy. -Cough-

Sweet Candace July 27th, 2009 11:13 AM

The cutest starter Pokemon is Piplup. He's a cute little penguin and when he becomes an Empoleon, he's very powerful.

xSeduction July 27th, 2009 11:16 AM

^ Agreed. Piplup is my favorite water starter.<3

Sweet Candace July 27th, 2009 11:17 AM

Next would be Squirtle. He's a cute little turtle.

Spinosaurus July 27th, 2009 11:21 AM

Totodile and Mudkip are my favorite. 8D

Witch July 27th, 2009 11:24 AM

Halcyon July 27th, 2009 11:23 PM

Followed by Totodile, Mudkip and Squirtle.

xSeduction July 28th, 2009 6:56 AM

Oh, come on.
Squirtle's adorable, and you know it.
Especially in his little Squirtle Squad glasses. :(

Spinosaurus July 28th, 2009 7:00 AM

I actully think Totodile is cuter, but meh I dont care about cuteness.
SHARPEDO FTW!
Lol Squirtle wearing the galsses is win.

Witch July 29th, 2009 11:20 AM

I like sharpedo & I'd use him if he wasn't so weak :/

Spinosaurus July 29th, 2009 11:28 AM

Yeah, he is a bit weak if you ask me. :\
But Wailord and Walerin are pretty good.

Sweet Candace July 29th, 2009 12:45 PM

Wailord has a lot of HP, but can be taken out by powerful Electric or Grass attacks.

I don't know how they can justify Gyarados as a Water/Flying type. they should chnage him into a Water/Dragon type now. They changed pokemon before, now is a good time as any.

No starter pokemon should be part dragon. And totodile shows now dragon in him.

Lugia should never even be psychic. Lugia is palce as a guardian of the seas, it lives in the seas, it's supose to be the opposite of Ho-Oh a fire/flying pokemon.

Sweet Candace July 31st, 2009 10:18 AM

I think they should make Lugia a tri-type Pokemon. Meaning it'll be Water/Psychic/Flying.

well, i still think it can stay at Pyschic. It would be...weird having it as water. JUST MY OPINION DONT FLAME!

...but i do agree about the Gyrados flying. Even tho i am so used to its typing, i would relalylike it as water/dragon. It supopsexd to be anyways, since the magicarp line was something about a carp and a fountain and if something happens in turns into a dragon, so...=/

Sweet Candace July 31st, 2009 2:47 PM

If they don't change it Gyarados will be cannon-fodder to Electric types.

Lugia can use telepathy, as in the movie, while Ho-oh can't. That's the main reason. So suppose Lugia is much more intelligent than Ho-oh.

Milotic dragon? You're kidding right?

That can't be right. If Lugia would be the first tri-type, then others would follow. That would be a lot of confusion and unfairness in battles and stuff.

Lucario, thats a highly intellegent pokemon that shows psychic characteristics and that one is still just fighting and steel. Lapras is also one that can understand human speech and also intellegent. So that telepathy part is the only arguement you can use to justify Lugias lack Psychic/Flying Matchup, which even Lucario seems to defy with its aura powers which reading auras is a psychic trait and also his main characteristic.

♣Gawain♣ July 31st, 2009 6:10 PM

But you can't tell that to Nintendo right? They have good reasons to have it Psychic. Being water-type plus flying means it would end up like Gyrados or Mantine, extremely weak to electric-types, despite having good sp. defense. Being Psychic and Flying it can stand a chance against nasty Heracross and other tanker Fighting types, which are weak sp defensively. And I'm not saying telepathy is the only thing. It can predict what will happen in the future(although some also can), and it's wise enough to stay underwater. Or it'll make hurricanes out of it's huge wings.

in a sence i think its a good trade off either way.

Gyarados has a weakness to Electric X4 and Rock x2 and five resistances (Bug, steel, Water, Fire and fighting) and one immunity (Ground),

Lugia have 5 weaknesses (Rock, Ghost, Electric, Ice and Dark) and 3 resistances (Fighting, grass and Psychic).

Suddenly that times 4 for electric does not sounds so much of a threat.

We didn't really know how to play, so we just said whoever put down the cutest pokemon wins. LOL.

Am I the only one who adores Wooper?
Uppa! Woopa! It's quite cute though...
It's the first Water/Ground type!

Here's a topic.

Do you consider Ice-types to be a Water-type clone?

No way! Water-types are no way as cold as the Ice-types. I just love them both. <3

Mmm, not reeeeeally. Normally, Ice type moves are more powerful than water type.
I still stand ground with water type Pokemon though. They're far more beautiful in my opinion.

I think they're not clones but close relatives. I like them as well but not as much XD
