I'm claiming......Pokemon Special Water-types!!

E.g. I'm putting Pokemon Special-related pics, with water types in.Eventually.

Oh, forget it, I'm not doing this collaberation

Witch March 10th, 2010 9:22 AM

XD okay. that's fine too dear.

Amore March 10th, 2010 1:26 PM

Uhhh...your sig CAN NOT BE LEGAL!!

If it's been ok'd, I'm complaining.I got infracted for a smaller one.

Porygon-Z March 10th, 2010 1:34 PM

Can I join?!

Water is the most versatile and strong type!

My favourite water type pokemon is Swampert, but I also use Slowbro on my team too!

Witch March 10th, 2010 5:02 PM

Welcome ^^ I'll add you right now

Sweet Candace March 10th, 2010 5:46 PM

If I would, I'd like to join the collaboration, but there are so many different Water-types, I wouldn't know where to start!

And welcome to all the newcomers!

It's within limits :O

Sweet Candace, just let me know who you pick...There are like 90 to pick from! XD

Twisted Cuteness March 11th, 2010 8:00 AM

Until I looked at that list, I never realized how many there where O_O

Circuit March 11th, 2010 12:52 PM

What is the collaboration? It looks interesting.

Does anyone have SSBB on WI-Fi here? I'd like to brawl someone. VM me with your friend code if you do.

Witch March 11th, 2010 8:53 PM

Basically change your forum theme into your favorite water pokemon.
I don't have a Wii D: I have a 360 though :3

Twisted Cuteness March 11th, 2010 9:01 PM

Wait...Amby, Blastoise is a turtle...How is a turtle a shellfish?

♣Gawain♣ March 12th, 2010 6:08 AM

Probably translation fault. The "shell" part probably implies that it got one, and the "fish"... well it's obviously aquatic...

Circuit March 12th, 2010 12:48 PM

Maybe...

Bulbapedia says its a shellfish Pokemon so, yeah.

Amore March 12th, 2010 2:51 PM

Lol.Yeah, really it should be "Turtle pokemon".It's like water Torterra.....

I've settled on my theme!!!

And, all it has to do with this club is that Gold has a Mantine with 20 Remoraid for flight (lol).

Sorry.

aquatorrent March 13th, 2010 3:51 PM

great place! until i didn't know where to start.
can i join?

It's for a Water-type collaboration. The ones in use are the ones with strikes through their names.

Halcyon March 13th, 2010 7:34 PM

How is my signature looking? xD

♣Gawain♣ March 13th, 2010 9:58 PM

Looking cool. I wonder how you did that, the text i aligned or what?

Halcyon March 13th, 2010 10:48 PM

I have no idea how does Ambellina and Twisted Cuteness did theirs (the signature on the left), so I played with the formatting editor, and poof - there we go!

Amore March 14th, 2010 5:25 AM

Ok, I'll show you.Just remove the spaces

[image= "left" ]your image url [/ image]

chikorita125 March 14th, 2010 5:56 AM

i finnished mine but i don't know if it is any good

Amore March 14th, 2010 8:40 AM

It's ok.It's easy to spend hours on these and make them look bad.Take mine for example.:P

Fire Wolf March 14th, 2010 8:47 AM

May I join this group? I love water types. Hydro Pump <3.

Circuit March 14th, 2010 11:50 AM

Hydro Pump? Pfft Water Pulse > Hydro Pump

Anyway, what is the collaboration? I don't think my question was answered before.

Just pick a Water type Pokémon and change your theme into the Pokémon you chose.

Amore March 14th, 2010 12:48 PM

Hydro Cannon is the ultimate water type attack!!!

lol, hydro pump is superior. And Surf/Waterfall/Water Spout/Aqua Jet are the best ones

Sweet Candace March 14th, 2010 2:21 PM

IMO, Surf is the best Water-type move. But, that's just me.

chikorita125 March 14th, 2010 3:11 PM

i gotta say hydro pump is the best water type move :)

Thanks, but the text will automatically go down. D:

Anyway, Surf is the best because of its accuracy.

Sweet Candace March 15th, 2010 10:55 AM

But, it's stupid they made Surf hit your partner. You think they would have put that side-effect in R/S/E, not now in D/P/Pt...

Amore March 15th, 2010 11:57 AM

I have to agree.I preferrred how it was in Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, where only Earthquake (And I think possibly Magnitude) hit all pokemon. I mean, how's Surf gonna hit your flying-type, who's aware of it coming? They'd surely move!!!

It annoys me when Empoleon kills Riley's Lucario on Iron Island, only for something to come up that completely walls it, and Lucario could kill.

Sweet Candace March 15th, 2010 12:54 PM

Combo moves like Surf and Fly and Dig and Surf will work in D/P/Pt, because the other Pokemon won't be hit by the side effect.

♣Gawain♣ March 15th, 2010 11:44 PM

I agree. Surf is very useful in doubles in Emerald, and in DS they made it like Earthquake. >.> Maybe they made Surf a huge tsunami in DS, while in Emerald they made it like a a small wave.

About the text imaging... the text still goes down. D:

FinalMaster March 16th, 2010 12:45 AM

Just me, a person you don't know. Anyhoo, a request.

Could I join?

♣Gawain♣ March 16th, 2010 1:00 AM

lol This group is the most active, that I can say. Welcome then.

Obelisk March 16th, 2010 7:20 PM

I love water pokemon so much I was wondering if I could join.:D

Witch March 17th, 2010 8:59 AM

Sorry everyone! New members will be added now. ^^ I was on a trip & had no interwebs D:

I forgot about Hydrocannon. THat's the best.

Then Surf/Waterfall/Water Spout/Aqua Jet > Hydro Pump

I really like Water Pulse though, and welcome new members!!

EDIT: for the collaboration, I'll pick Arceus with Splash Plate, if not possible I'll choose MIlotic.

cyan. March 18th, 2010 2:42 PM

Hey guys! -hasn't been here in a while- You probably don't remember me -used to be Sinnoh Champ Cynthia-

Anyways;

Yeah. It is kinda stupid to make surf hit you're partner. I think Surf is one of the strongest moves out there (besides WP, HC and HP, and maybe Waterfall).
But I guess it happens just like earthquake, not 2 people get hit, everyone gets hit.

♣Gawain♣ March 19th, 2010 2:06 AM

Hydrocannon=for the desperado last hit turn. If you have it on a starter poke, it would be devastating if your HP is low. Not recommended for CB, since the reason is like Hyperbeam.
Hydropump=the beast, use it in doubles. Accuracy though is a failure.
Surf=best move. 100 acc, and devastating. Don't use it in doubles except if your partner has Water Absorb or not very-effective to it.
Aquajet=Like quick attack.
Others= don't really use them, but Brine is good.

Morning Sun Espeon March 19th, 2010 6:52 AM

I forgot about brine! ^^;; it's a pretty cool move

Halcyon March 19th, 2010 7:29 AM

I don't really quite understand how Surf hits its teammate.
It is not like the waves are reversing or anything. lol

zommy08 March 19th, 2010 12:14 PM

Best water attacks?
Surf, Waterfall, Hydro Pump, Water Spout.
Too lazy to write why. :P

Witch March 19th, 2010 1:52 PM

Here's my main question, how does surf hit your teammate if it's a flying type?!

Platina Berlitz March 19th, 2010 2:25 PM

I know! >_< That always frustrates me to no end.

FinalMaster March 19th, 2010 3:29 PM

I know we're talking about Surf, so let me throw something right in there.

.... it can be learned by a FURRET.

RadiosX5 March 19th, 2010 3:32 PM

Surf can also be learned by a Zigzagoon. I tried it on my first game on sapphire and it worked

Sweet Candace March 19th, 2010 3:36 PM

That's a question I don't think needs an answer. They're most likely just hovering off the ground, and not high in the sky like they are when they use Fly.

pkmntrainerpaul March 20th, 2010 12:25 AM

Pokemon Battle Revolution answers that question :p
Surf in PBR is more like a tsunami XD

Twisted Cuteness March 20th, 2010 8:07 AM

I like the console battle animations better than the handhelds anyway >:B

Amore March 20th, 2010 11:32 AM

Yeah.I always got the impression Surf was basically a Tsunami

Circuit March 21st, 2010 3:17 AM

Thats what I always thought so when it started to hit my partner in P/D/Pt, yeah i was a bit peeved off, but I understood it because of my impression. it's all based on impressions really. But then PBR came along and showed us how they wanted the impression to be showed.

Platina Berlitz March 21st, 2010 3:47 AM

Actually, even in the Ds, the wave pulls back before hitting the other team so maybe that's when it hits your partner pokemon

Sweet Candace March 21st, 2010 6:16 AM

They should allow your other Pokemon to dodge it. Instead you can't, and it could easily faint, because Surf is a very powerful move.

Witch March 21st, 2010 6:40 AM

Did anyone teach their pokemon Hydro cannon? It's a cool move & it powerful when it decides to work XD

pkmntrainerpaul March 21st, 2010 7:50 AM

Nope.
I prefer Surf over Hydro Pump & Hydro Cannon, just because the lower accuracy of Hydro Pump and Cannon.

Twisted Cuteness March 21st, 2010 8:07 AM

Quote:

Is that the move you learn in d/p/pt from some hiker or underground guy in a cabin?

Sweet Candace March 21st, 2010 10:33 AM

Hydro Cannon is a good move, but only the Water-type starters can learn it (Squritle and evos, Totodile and evos, Mudkip and evos and Piplup and evos).

pkmntrainerpaul March 21st, 2010 11:04 AM

Yeah, It will be cool if you can teach Kyogre Hydro Cannon.
Just imagine combining a 150 Base Power-Special STAB move with the monstrous Special Attack of Kyogre....
Then if you use it against someone in a battle, your opponent will say:
O_O Wow O_O

My Blastiose in LG has it. Good move, but It'll expose you to buffer moves the opponent gonna use.

The reason I don't use HC in CB's because of recharging. Surf or Hydropump(not counting the accuracy) is better.

moon March 23rd, 2010 3:18 AM

I've never used hydro cannon. Is it a move pokémon learn by themselves or do you need a tm?

zommy08 March 23rd, 2010 8:36 AM

Hydro Cannon isn't a TM. Also, I hate Hydro Cannon, Frenzy Plant and Blast Burn as well as all Hyper Beam-related move because of the recharging.

Sweet Candace March 23rd, 2010 10:53 AM

Those moves are really powerful. They need some kind of catch, otherwise, those moves would become incredibly broken...

moon March 23rd, 2010 12:43 PM

Aha. Yeah, I think it's good with the catch though. The people who want to use Hydro Cannon must pay the price that way ;)

Spinosaurus March 23rd, 2010 2:37 PM

Yeah, but recharging isn't the only downfall, the PP and hell the accuracy aswell. accuracy > power anyways imo. Hydro Cannon really fails in competitive battling. =/ (But meh, I'm retired now, so I might use it in my In-game teams later.)

Sweet Candace March 24th, 2010 11:49 AM

I never even bother with IV's and EV's. I just catch and train. Easy as that.

Prepare to get CREAMED!!!
(Not by me, just other people who does IV & EV train... take my word for it, unless you're playing in game only, the IVs & EVs are WELL worth the trouble.)
Anyways, I wanna know...
Who here likes Vaporeon best?

Morning Sun Espeon March 24th, 2010 4:47 PM

Vaporeon is my favorite eeveelution, but I love cloyster out of all the water pokemon

chikorita125 March 24th, 2010 6:00 PM

i like vaporeon but i like azumarill the most

LittleCarousel March 24th, 2010 6:15 PM

Ooh, i want to join :D
My favourite water pokemon is Vaporeon, definitely :)

Witch March 25th, 2010 2:33 AM

Of course you can join! ^^ welcome!

Sweet Candace March 25th, 2010 1:09 PM

My favorite Water-types are Milotic and Kingdra. Gyarados is an honorable mention.

Witch March 29th, 2010 4:35 AM

Blastoise & Vaporeon are mine :3

My SS team so far is Feraligatr, Poliwhirl, & Slowpoke

Morning Sun Espeon March 29th, 2010 4:58 AM

I'm still having trouble beating whitney D:

Sweet Candace March 29th, 2010 10:49 AM

You should get the Machop from the Dept. Store. Fighting are strong against Normal.

My main Water-type is Kingdra.

Morning Sun Espeon March 29th, 2010 11:00 AM

I'm using krabby right now. I finally beat her and now I'm off to challange Morty!
Has anyone caught the red gyarados yet?

Obelisk March 29th, 2010 1:21 PM

I caught the red gyarados, its pretty cool and my first shiny lol.

Witch March 30th, 2010 9:30 AM

I finally made it to the lake of rage but Lance isn't around O_o

Sweet Candace March 30th, 2010 10:44 AM

I caught the Red Gyarados, but I'm not trading it to Platinum because I caught a Red Gyarados in that game.

Spinosaurus March 30th, 2010 11:17 AM

I'm using two Water types there, Slowking and a DD Jolly Croconaw. They're pretty awesome. <3

Sweet Candace March 30th, 2010 12:08 PM

I wouldn't make a team of all Water-types as you could run into serious trouble facing Electric and Grass-types.

Circuit March 30th, 2010 12:24 PM

I believe I may be near. The lake of rage is near Ecruteak?

Spinosaurus March 30th, 2010 12:40 PM

Whitney is pretty darn easy. I kept using Dragon Dance and 2HKO'd her Miltank with Waterfall using Croconaw. (I bred it and gave it the moves in Platinum) He was male, and I never bothered using my female Bayleef.

Sweet Candace March 30th, 2010 4:15 PM

I creamed Whitney with a bunch of female Pokemon. The Machop I got from the Dept. Store was female also.

I defeated her Miltank using Machop and Quilava.

Circuit March 31st, 2010 11:16 AM

Well, morty's down, Red Gyarados caught, now something to do with Team Rocket. It's good to see them again at last.

Witch April 1st, 2010 6:37 AM

Does anyone know where to get a water stone..? I think you can't really get one very early on except in the pokeathelon on wed.

Sweet Candace April 1st, 2010 9:06 AM

There's a Trainer who can give you one, but I don't know who. And you can get one for getting 1st in the Bug Catching Contest, but the stone they give you is random.

Twisted Cuteness April 1st, 2010 9:23 AM

I hate the bug catching contests. I always come in second >_<

Platina Berlitz April 1st, 2010 9:55 AM

Do you use the apricorns for pokeballs or for the juice more?

Sweet Candace April 1st, 2010 10:42 AM

It all depends on what you catch and if you weaken it or not. If you can catch it full health, you'll have a better shot at getting 1st place. But, that doesn't assure you a Water Stone.

Pokeballs. I didn't know you could make the other until recently XD

Sweet Candace April 1st, 2010 10:59 AM

I've been still trying to figure out to make my own Aprijuice. I'm just stocking up on Apricorns for right now.

Morning Sun Espeon April 2nd, 2010 8:44 AM

don't you use them like you did poffins? they just boost your pokemon for the pokeathelon
