Please Add me (:
I'm most definitly a big fan of the water type.
I would love to battle you Ambelina

st.jimmy September 30th, 2008 11:26 AM

im like a pokemon card guru!
iv got thousands!

my most rare ones are manaphy, phione, kyogre, dialga and one of those weird really rare vaporean cards (the ones with the weird stars on them XD )
i hav nothin else really because the only good things nintendo sold for pokemon was the games and the cards :L

Sweet Candace September 30th, 2008 12:21 PM

I forgot about this club.

I have a topic:
If you could make one Pokemon a Water type, what would it be and why?

I say Dragonair. It would be better being part Water as well as part Dragon

Sushi. September 30th, 2008 5:51 PM

If you could make one Pokemon a Water type, what would it be and why?

Dragonair, I mean we seen a Dragonair in the water in the anime. Also it looks like it can be a Water Type before when it's a Dragonite.

So same Pokemon answer from Sweet Dawn.

Water PKMN Trainer September 30th, 2008 10:41 PM

Hi, I'd like to join I'm currently making a water team

and I would also say Dragonair because I don't think it will have a proper weakness

♣Gawain♣ October 1st, 2008 12:45 AM

Definitely it's Dragonair. Since most of the time it lives in quiet waters...

Crissy October 1st, 2008 1:14 PM

I still havn't been added D;
If you missed my post then I understand lol.

Sweet Candace October 1st, 2008 1:56 PM

Don't worry, you'll be added. You just need to wait for Ambellina to come back on and edit the member list...

Dukey October 1st, 2008 2:00 PM

Treecko, would have been good as a water type...

Sweet Candace October 1st, 2008 2:11 PM

I think Treecko is perfect the way it is...

But I think the real answer is Dragonair. The old sets (R/B/Y) have a pic of Dragonair in water. It should be part Water...

Witch October 1st, 2008 3:13 PM

If you could make one Pokemon a Water type, what would it be and why?
-Dragonair is a great choice ^^ Hmmm I'm not quite sure who else I'd make a water type...

Welcome new members! ^^ I've added you allready (don't worry Crissy I didn't miss you XD) I've been at work all day & haven't been on until now. ^^;;

Brien October 1st, 2008 3:14 PM

Water types ftw.

I might join:D

Sweet Candace October 1st, 2008 3:39 PM

I think that because Dragonair can learn Water-type moves, and Surf (can it?). It should be part Water...

Oh too bad... Bye bye now! *grins*

Another topic I guess? Do you agree that Water/Dragon combo is the best combo? I think my answer is yes. Only one weakness, Dragon types itself. Kingdra and Palkia are examples.

Witch October 5th, 2008 5:32 AM

Do you agree that Water/Dragon combo is the best combo?
-Possibly. I'm not sure because I don't really use that combo often :/ I have to say though, seadra/kingdra are pretty beast XD

Shinylover October 5th, 2008 5:36 AM

Do you agree that Water/Dragon combo is the best combo?

Well there are only a few pokemon that are of that type of combination but i would have to say yes that is the best combo. Palkia, and or Kingdra are awesome.

Sushi. October 5th, 2008 6:11 AM

Do you agree that Water/Dragon combo is the best combo?

I guess so, I really don't use that combo but it's okay.

Sweet Candace October 5th, 2008 6:15 AM

Do you agree that Water/Dragon is the best combo?

I'm not sure. I'm not really sure, since this question is mainly opinionated

Witch October 7th, 2008 5:42 AM

Anyone have any other questions? ^^;; don't be shy!

Rogue planet October 7th, 2008 8:05 AM

Most of the water pokemon seem so elegant, but I can't think of any real sea creatures that are? The closest I can think off is a whale but their so large and ugly >< so I guess the question is

What is your favourite water animal in real life? If any?

Witch October 7th, 2008 10:06 AM

What is your favourite water animal in real life? If any?

Dolphins & starfish! :D

Water PKMN Trainer October 7th, 2008 10:10 AM

Dolphins and Seahorse (because I like horsea)

Rogue planet October 7th, 2008 10:28 AM

Oh yes, I forgot about Dolphins *how could I ;_:* Sea horse though? I always thought they looked sharp and rough not as huggable as horsea.

Sushi. October 7th, 2008 11:00 AM

What is your favourite water animal in real life? If any?

Dolphins and Sharks are awesome. Sharks always reminds me of Sharpedo's.

♣Gawain♣ October 8th, 2008 4:47 AM

Whale's definitely the best. Huge bodies for heat conduction and longer breaths, blubber for insulation and has very long life spans.

Witch October 8th, 2008 5:58 AM

Don't forget the seals! ^^

Here's a new 1: What items do you let your water pokemon hold?

Sushi. October 8th, 2008 6:35 AM

What items do you let your water pokemon hold?

On G/S/C, I let my Red Gyradoes hold the Red Scale from himself. XD

Rogue planet October 8th, 2008 7:11 AM

Oh yeah :3 seals FTW

I make mine hold Mystic water or the quick claw (1st one obvious, not sure why on the 2nd one)

st.jimmy October 8th, 2008 1:01 PM

manitees oh yeah!

any thing that ugly being mistook as a beautiful mermaid is top in my books! ^_^

Angela October 8th, 2008 1:11 PM

I'll post a new topic! :)
What is the best adjective you can use to describe water pokemon?

♣Gawain♣ October 10th, 2008 3:39 PM

Best adjective? Hmmmm... Let me see...

ELEGANT and ADAPTABLE

I think that is the best

Rogue planet October 11th, 2008 12:25 AM

Yes what I said earlier and what Eondragon said, elegant.

Witch October 11th, 2008 5:11 AM

Elegant, definitally. Graceful, Serene, Beautiful

Sasuke Hinamori October 11th, 2008 7:41 AM

Ice is a different form of Water, just as Steel is another form of Rock. (You find mineral ores for steel inside of rocks and ore veins)

Why yes it is on the first post here, there will be some creative banners people made. ^^

Why do you think Ice-types and Water-types are interrelated?

It's pretty much Water, but it's freezed.
That's all I have to say about that.

Rogue planet October 16th, 2008 1:24 AM

Nearly 20 pages =D

Well, I know ice and water are similar because ice is frozen water.

I think we are running out of ideas

Witch October 16th, 2008 3:08 AM

I agree with Fruit-kun & Vendak ^^

Here's a new 1: Which region has the best water pokemon?

Sushi. October 16th, 2008 4:06 AM

Which region has the best Water Pokemon?

Kanto was alright, Jhoto was okayish, Hoenn had some really nice Water Pokemon there, and Sinnoh I don't have a DS to tell.

So I might as well go for Hoenn for me.

♣Gawain♣ October 16th, 2008 5:59 AM

I think Jhoto. It has many diverse water types, and weird ones too. Like Qwilfish, Mantine, Remoraid and Lugia(not a water-type, but lives underwater).

Can I insert a topic? If it's alright...

Can Lugia be considered a water pokemon?

Yes, because it's home is deep beneath the trenches and it can learn Hydropump.

Sushi. October 16th, 2008 8:06 AM

Can Lugia be considered a Water Pokemon?

Well it is Psychic also but, I really wouldn't count Lugia as a Water Pokemon. Even thought it can learn a Water Attack doesn't mean it is a Water Pokemon.

Same here! ^^ Hoenn was basically nothing but water anyway XD Thats why it was so cool ^^

Can Lugia be considered a water pokemon?
-I'd like to think it can. I mean, it came from the ocean, uses water moves, & is referred to as the beast of the sea or something like that XD

st.jimmy October 19th, 2008 12:35 AM

hell, yeah lugia should be a water pokemon!
he is the only pokemon that weshould make an exception for.
(i love lugia so much mainly cos i grew up thinking he was water ;))

Rogue planet October 19th, 2008 12:36 AM

Yes I think Lugia does, in the film he lives underwater dosn't he? (havn't seen it for ages)

Belinda October 19th, 2008 4:26 PM

Well it looks like,Ambellina has made her point,it looks like Lugia is a water Pokemon after all. I knew it would be hehe.

iv got a topic (not %100 about water pokemon though.)
gyrados is half water half flying type should he be called water and flying or water and dragon?
(if the topic has 2 be changed iv got another 1 we could use btw)

Witch October 22nd, 2008 4:26 AM

gyrados is half water half flying type should he be called water and flying or water and dragon?

-Good question. Wasn't he a dragon-type in earlier games? :/ I hate when they change the types around. & he can't learn fly, so why make him a flying type? >_< I'll go with Water & dragon

BeachBoy October 22nd, 2008 4:33 AM

Gyarados in my opinion should be part Dragon-type, unfortunately that typing would probably make Gyarados far too powerful. (For competitive play) And in a way, I think the company knew that. Gave him a major weakness to hamper it's destruction. Maybe not, but they gave it Flying-type. *shrugs*

Sushi. October 22nd, 2008 9:59 AM

Gyrados is half Water half Flying Type should he be called Water and Flying or Water and Dragon?
I think he'll still be a Water/Dragon Type, I mean in early games from the past he was a Dragon/Water Type. Also he's in Lance's Dragon Team for Kanto. :/

st.jimmy October 22nd, 2008 11:14 AM

nintendo give off an impression and say the exact opposite sumtimes
eg. scyther not bein gras and lugia not bein water

~Rene~ October 22nd, 2008 9:30 PM

Gyarados is half Water half Flying Type should he be called Water and Flying or Water and Dragon?
It should be called Water and Dragon. Because Gyarados doesn't learn any Flying attacks.

Yah, I was beginning to wonder why Gyrados is a W/F type. It should(or maybe) a dragon type, despite it's features. And I hate Gyrados, easily killed by Electric attacks and it's ugly visage.:\

I agree, ~EonDragon~. They should have given Gyarados a Water and Dragon type. Not Water/Flying.

~Rene~ :t025:

Belinda October 23rd, 2008 7:57 AM

Yes,totally agree with everyone Gyrados should be a Water/Dragon type, wait I have one question can Gyrados fly or not,I forgot?

♣Gawain♣ October 23rd, 2008 5:32 PM

No, but because it looks like a Chinese flying dragon or creature, somebody placed it a type that doesn't suits it....

Rogue planet October 24th, 2008 8:46 AM

I'm sure there is some reason why it is flying, personally I think it should just be water, not even water/dragon.

no offence but....imagine that thing flying!:nervous:
he destroyed a city in the anime...and that was when he couldnt even get out of the water!
if he could fly we'd all be killed!:knockedou

moon October 28th, 2008 1:44 PM

Gyarados does look like a traditional (?) chinese style dragon methinks. It lives in water and is blue... so it's a water dragon... But water/flying would be suitable IF IT COULD LEARN DECENT FLYING MOVES (can it even learn FLY?) and if there wasn't a Dragon-type already... So in the end, I agree with everybody else here.

Starmie. It looks like a star .______. It has a glimmery jewel in it, hello. And it's purple. And... spikey?

It's always been one of my favourite Pokémon. At least since I got my Misty deck :3

I don't! I've never liked Wailmer or Wailord... they're... just big blue blimps? And just like in the PokéSpe, they can't be on land, so whenever you use it out of the water, it feels... weird. Not that many people think about that. Not that it's important... but still x)

Milotic, it can learn Safeguard well and it's a very beautiful Pokemon too! ^^

Rogue planet October 31st, 2008 2:44 AM

if you had to pick one Water Pokemon because of its looks who would you pick and why?
Horsea <3 it has the highest huggable rating

Walrein October 31st, 2008 5:54 AM

Iv'e read any single post I didn't read before, and quite unlike Neko Sakuraba, I grow love to Water-types I didn't notice bfore, such as Tentacruel or Pelipper. Ambellina, do you really hate Wingull/Pelipper? It was my first Sapphire pokemon I caught :{ ...
I'll answer newer questions in my next post here, so ask another question in the mean time-I have great news for you!
I started playing Sapphire again to transfer pokemon (Kyogre, Regice, Walrein... <3), and was looking for a good-natured Goldeen to make it a mixed sweeper. I didn't even notice it in the first place, but it just dropped on me-I found a shiny Goldeen!
I caught it. It's Adamant with Water Veil, making it a good candidate for physical sweeping (I was looking for one to mix-sweep with Ice Beam, but the standart is physical anyway). I transferred it to Diamond, but for some reason I forgot to nickname it before transferring...

Witch November 3rd, 2008 5:02 AM

Sorry for not being on. I had to take a personal break. Never fear! All is well ^^
if you had to pick one Water Pokemon because of its looks who would you pick and why?
-Vaporeon. 'nuff said XD
& yes Froslass, I do have a wingull but I've never used it.

Walrein November 3rd, 2008 5:45 AM

Silly me, I was intending to type "hate"...

If you could make one Pokemon a Water type, what would it be and why?
Dragonair, without a doubt. I mean, it can't even live outside water, how come it's not a Water-type?
What items do you let your water pokemon hold?

Mostly Leftovers, as many Water-types have an enormous HP stat, such as Wailord, Lapras, Vaporeon...
What is your favourite water animal in real life? If any?
The bowhead whale, the only whale who never mirgrates south of the arctic/subarctic in winter.
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/72/Faroe_stamp_198_Baleana_mysticetus.jpg
How can't you love that :< ?
What is the best adjective you can use to describe water pokemon?
Splendid.
How are Water & Ice types interrelated?
Ice andWater are the same matter. The entire north pole is an ocean. The entire south pole is seperated from mainland by thousands of kilometers, the ones closer to the the Antractic continent also freeze during winter.
Which region has the best water pokemon?
Hoenn, obviously, the enitre region was Water-based.
Can Lugia be considered a water pokemon?
Pseudo-Water, yes.

Base 55 isn't the best there is...but it's as fast as Starmie, which is amasing on a Rain team as it'll outurn virtually anything, Deoxys-S included.

♣Gawain♣ November 4th, 2008 9:55 PM
