Use Ice Beam >> Avalanche on Swampert, now. Ice Beam would do more to Dragons then Avalanche will ever do thanks to Intimidate. If you are going to use Ice Beam, change the EV spread to 240 HP / 216 Def / 52 SpA and make the nature Relaxed. Also, Hydro Pump >> Stealth Rock or Roar, to do more to Ground-types that are not 4x weak to Ice.

I see no point in Jolly Lucario. While it does outspeed every Mamoswine, even Jolly ones, it means you miss some KOs.

That Gyarados...while it could work, do consider a Dragon Dance Gyara:

[email protected] Orb
Adamant
72 HP / 252 Atk / 184 Speed
Waterfall
Bite / Earthquake
Stone Edge / Ice Fang
Dragon Dance

Bite absolutely murders Starmie or any other Psychic-type, while Stone Edge still hits Salamence but also hits Gyarados much harder then Ice Fang. Ice Fang is an option to deal with Salamence and OHKOs non-Yache Chomp after 1 Dragon Dance.

That SpecsMence is fine, and yes Hydro Pump is for Heatran, the only Pokemon resisting the Dragon + Fire combo. HP Ground is an option over Hydro Pump, since it does hit Heatran harder and is more accurate then Hydro Pump. It also hits one of the set's counters, Empoleon super effectively.

That Gengar set, just eww... Focus Blast >> Energy Ball, or else Steel types go "OLOL" at you. Thunderbolt >> Destiny Bond, to hammer Water-types. Do consider Wide Lens or Life Orb, to boost the accuracy of Hypnosis and Focus Blast if you're adding it. Also, Focus Punch on Gengar is awful this gen, you're much better off with Focus Blast.

Blissey wants Calm with 252 Def / 80 SpA / 176 SpD to special wall effectively this gen. Also, do consider a status absorber to free up that slot of Aromatherapy to put something to hit Gengar, someone Bliss is supposed to wall. RestTalk Snorlax is an excellent Status Absorber and with Crunch, it can deal with Gengar and Mismagius, although having Bliss and Snorlax on the same team is redundant, so you should choose one.

[email protected]
Thick Fat
Careful
252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 Atk
Crunch
Body Slam
Rest
Sleep Talk

This indeed counters Heatran, if you thought otherwise. Body Slam would eventually beat down Heatran while Snorlax could laugh at all its attacks and stall it out with Rest + Sleep Talk.

Impish Nature

- Earthquake

- Avalanche

Replace one of the bottom 2 moves for Hydro Pump. Also, go with Dancing Mence's EV spread here.

Gyarados @ Choice Scarf

252 Attack /252 Speed

Adamant Nature

- Earthquake

- Ice Fang

- Stone Edge Bite

- Waterful

* I've been switching this around with a Scarfed Heracross..

This needs work. Either go with Bite>>> Stone Edge here, or scrap the whole set and go DD Gyara.

Salamence @ Choice Specs

252 Sp.Atk /252 Speed

- Hydro Pump/ HP Ground

* Is Hydro Pump just for Heatran?.

HP Ground hits Heatran harder.

Gengar @ Focus Sash

252 Sp.Atk /252 Speed

Timid Nature

- Shadow Ball

- Energy Ball

- Hypnosis

- Destiny Bond

* I'm thinking of using a Focus Punch, Hypnosis, Shadow Ball, Destiny Bond/Substitute set.

Does nothing for your team, replace it with this:

[email protected] Leftovers
Careful Nature
Thick Fat
252 hp/ 252 sp. def/ 4 atk
Return/ Body Slam
Crunch
Sleep Talk
Rest

Blissey @ Leftovers

252 Def/ 176 Sp.Def/ 80 Sp.Atk

Calm Nature

- Aromatherapy

- Softboiled

- Thunder Wave

- Seismic Toss

*
Since mixape with SE runs through this team, you need a mixape counter:

[email protected] Leftovers
Bold Nature
252 HP/108 Def/ 148 Sp. Def.

Psychic
Charge Beam
Reflect
Moonlight

works much better and stops mixape.

Changes Made:

- Nature changed to calm - Evs changed to 252 Def/ 176 Sp.Def/ 80 Sp.Atk

Comments in bold. Your current team is mixape weak. Put the cress i recommeneded in there as a counter.

Yeah, Lax and Bliss on the same team is beyond redundant.

I also wouldnt say he's that mixape weak, Gyara can take anything and outspeed it with Scarf , Gar can take predicted grass Knots, and so can Mence.

Basically beaten with prediction.

As for Gengar you could scarf that and make Gyara LO DD, that way you can revenge more stuff.

What are the Sp.Atk EV's for?
You have Seismic Toss for damage, thats not a special move is it?

Espy Psyche August 6th, 2008 12:24 PM

My guess? It had Ice Beam or Flamethrower at some point, and the SAtk EVs were for those special moves.

Postman August 7th, 2008 4:47 AM

Changed Swamperts Avalanche to Ice beam and I changed Gyarados's item from Choice Scarf to Life Orb.
Gengar also lost Energy Ball, Hypnosis, and item Life Orb for Thunderbolt, Focus Blast and Choice Scarf.
Hidden Power Ground will take Hydro Pumps place on Salamence for better damage on Heatran.

Actually Im going to run Blizzard on Swampert.

ThePlaya August 11th, 2008 5:07 AM

Well, I would suggest running modest on Gengar if your running Choice Scarf.

sims796 August 11th, 2008 5:33 AM

If you're gonna run Blizzard, prepare to miss often.

ThePlaya August 11th, 2008 5:36 AM

Yeah, more often than my Tyranitar missing with Stone Edge :P
