Matt-O/The American Battler vs. Mukkamoto/junoliv
Matt-O reached the Quarter-Finals (Round 4) of the last PC Wifi Tournament, and it took _Prince_ to stop him. He also finished in Round Three of ESO#1, losing to both our Champion and Finalist, but that wasn't to say he didn't have a great tournament. This time around he's back with a 6-2 record that put him into the team event and now he has a solid partner to boot. I can speak for myself when I say he knows strategy and isn't going to let a powerhouse roll him over. It's safe to predict he'll be starting where he left off last tournament and go even further this time around. The American Battler is somewhat of an unknown commodity around the Battle Stadium's big stages. He's been placed to face aragornbird in Round Two of his first PC Tourney, so there will most certainly be fireworks during that match, especially considering how quickly he qualified for the ESO's team round. Not only that, but he has some serious Extreme Speed pride (just check out that crazy awesome theme, haha.) Based on his comeback (he was down to 1BP after his first match and managed to scrape his way into round two quite nicely) I'd say he's soon to be a higher-up around here, especially if he becomes a little more forum active. :P Junoliv has been battling quite a bit around the Stadium as of late. He's gotten quite a few solid wins under his belt, including (correct me if I'm wrong) a handful of Round Two members here. While not known for his eloquent posts, he makes up for it with some hardcore results. He was the second qualifier into Round 2 here and I'm sure, while taking down Matt/American won't be easy, he's willing to give it everything he's got. Mukkamoto from what I know, is an all-around battler. While he hasn't strung together any impressive win results around here, every time he posts after a match he's good hearted and proud about it, no matter what. I haven't battled him myself to see what he deals in the Poke-deck of cards, (which I guess should happen soon, considering he's my Charizard Academy student XD), but with a solid Round One record as well as an impressive start in the Whirl Cup, it's going to be fun to see what he can do in this round. |
Kanye West/The Graceful Assasin vs. Cowan/Mystery2009
The Graceful Assassin: Our returning champion had an interesting round one to say the least...After an uncharacteristic streak of losses in the very beginning, he recovered from being knocked out after a hack checking clarification, giving him the boost he needed to storm into round two like the champ we know he is. You didn't actually think he was going to go down that easily, did you? Graceful is a fearsome opponent (I should know =P), and his title as the ESO's first champion is well deserved. At 8-5, he has definitely been the most active member of the ESO#2 so far, and will no doubt be hungry for a win against his rival from last tournament. Mystery2009: A solid battler to say the least, Mystery has really made the ESO an entertaining event. He's never at a loss for fighting words, and you better be prepared when you fight him, because he always gives his all. Mystery got through to round two with a wildcard, due in no small part to most of his requests receiving absolutely no attention, but he had a solid with a 3-2 record. Doubt that he deserved his wilcard entry and watch the hell out. He's definitely chomping at the bit to get revenge for last tournament's heart-breaking loss against our first champion, The Graceful Assassin. Kanye West: He entered the first ESO tournament, but remained inactive for round one. Now, he has taken control of the ESO#2 with lighting-fast speed, qualifying for round two the very first day of battling. No battler was able to defeat him in round one, and his confidence definitely shows through as he enters the scroll rounds. A regular over in S&M, he knows his stuff, and is a worthy opponent for any battler. He's looking make up for last tournaments inactivity and prove he has what it takes to be our new champion. Cowan: Still somewhat of an unknown here in PC's Wifi Battler Stadium, she has no doubt drawn a few glances, qualifying for round two with two convincing wins. The ESO#2 crown is no doubt difficult to obtain, but we will soon see if she has what it takes to make it all the way. Her skills will definitely be put to the test in her scroll match against Kanye West. I'll do the last matchups tomorrow ^_____^ |
lost to Matt-O
0-2 took long, sorry Matt, should have given up earlier but i decided to give it a long stall xD |
Confirming my 2-0 win over Mukkamoto. Awesome match. Stall Wars, FTW! I don't think I could have stood for that Vappy-Lax stall war we had going on there for much longer.
|
A win for the team. Nice work, Matt. Now it'll be just me and junoliv... And I still can't believe I'm going up against aragornbird... |
*Is astonished and flattered*
Thanx for the great complement. Funny thing is, this tournament's difficulty will increase 10 fold. We've some "new" faces to the tournament, however they are as skilled as they are intimidating. Simpily put, I can pick your semi finalist right now, and those who reach that point are all in for some intense battles. I'm steeling myself for some difficult battles let the galavaning begin(hmmm did I use that correctly). |

Speaking of "going into battle"....Let's get these scroll matches done people! Make sure you're contacting your opponent and setting up a battle time. Meep...I still have to do the last match up! O.O |
Just a note. I check here frequently in hopes of forwarding the tournament. However, either my opponent is elusive or a master of evasion
|
I cant reach my opponent

Uh...Volky, any specififc time we can battle?

If I had to make any solid promises, I'd say next weekend. I know that's really pushing round two because we want it done fast, but until further notice it's the closest i can come up with. X_X |
Lol mo prob with me, i still need to get a special team member from Platinum.
|
well my battle with Mystery should be happening tomorrow...
Postman ( or Kanye whatever you want to call him =P) i think has gotten contact with cowan... arent we still waiting for some other battles as well? |
Quote:
Umm...yes we are waiting for quite a few battles. We only have one done so far, there's still quite a ways to go. It's just a matter of actually talking to your opponent and seeing what times you might be able to catch them on for a battle. Is that so much to ask? ;___; |
