Battle of Brutes: Mystery vs. Vance
Hey PC! As most of your know, all of my teams are usually nothing but walls and bulky sweepers. However, ever since seeing (and fighting) BeachBoy’s team, I wanted to try an all offensive team. Remembering a friend of mine, mystery, uses offensive teams, I wanted to face him. Luckily, his Shoddy worked, and our battle started.
Green means it’s mystery’s Pokemon Dark Blue means it’s my Pokemon Brown means it’s my commentary Black means it’s ingame conversation Vance's Team http://www.smogon.com/download/sprites/dp/447.png http://www.smogon.com/download/sprites/dp/490.png http://www.smogon.com/download/sprites/dp/245.png http://www.smogon.com/download/sprites/dp/453.png http://www.smogon.com/download/sprites/dp/389.png http://www.smogon.com/download/sprites/dp/450.png Rules Evasion Clause Freeze Clause OHKO Clause Sleep Clause Species Clause mystery sent out Medicham Tyranitar sent out Spiritomb Spiritomb is exerting its pressure! mystery switched in Machamp Spiritomb used Shadow Sneak. Machamp lost 16% of its health. Machamp's leftovers restored its health a little! --- The beginning of the match starts. He sends out a Scarf Medicham (wonder where he got that idea) Spiritomb will take on Medicham all day, even with it’s 480 attack stat (assuming he’s Adamant) I go for a Shadow Sneak because I don’t want a Guts abuser coming in and getting a free power up. He sends in that beautiful beast Machamp. Thank god I didn’t Will O Wisp! --- Machamp used Ice Punch. A critical hit! Spiritomb lost 64% of its health. Spiritomb was frozen solid! Spiritomb was defrosted! Spiritomb used Pain Split. Spiritomb restored 39% of its health. Machamp lost 31% of its health. Spiritomb's leftovers restored its health a little! --- What a way to start the match! A critical hit as well as being frozen! Luckily, I get an early defrost and am able to recover some of that health. Unfortunately, I don’t gain all of it back, however, I doa bit of damage to that Machamp. It must be Guts, but seeing Leftovers make me think it’s No Guard. I have to see Dynamicpunch to be 100% certain. Sadly, I won’t be seeing it if I keep in Spiritomb. --- Machamp used Ice Punch. Spiritomb lost 28% of its health. Spiritomb used Pain Split. Spiritomb restored 15% of its health. Machamp lost 12% of its health. --- He’s decided to just stay in and exchange blows with Spiritomb. I know this ghost won’t be going down anytime soon, thus Tyranitar: Double hax mystery: im not complaining Tyranitar: I am --- Machamp used Ice Punch. Spiritomb lost 31% of its health. Spiritomb used Pain Split. Spiritomb restored 16% of its health. Machamp lost 13% of its health. --- Of course he wouldn’t mind double hax T__T Still, I’m doing pretty well with this Pain Split/Ice Punch war, and whether he knows it or not, I’m slowly draining his PP with Pressure. Stalling for the win! -- Machamp used Ice Punch. A critical hit! Spiritomb lost 63% of its health. Spiritomb used Pain Split. Spiritomb restored 32% of its health. Machamp lost 26% of its health. --- This has to be some sort of sick joke. Another crit? Luckily, I Pain Split him and restore about half of the damage dealt. Tyranitar: Again hax? mystery: im crazy for it --- Machamp used Ice Punch. Spiritomb lost 30% of its health. Spiritomb used Pain Split. Spiritomb restored 16% of its health. Machamp lost 12% of its health. --- Pretty standard stuff. However, Spiritomb is running a little low on health, and I can’t afford to lose him just yet. I’ll switch into a predicted Ice Punch and bring in my favorite fire breathing robot; Heatran. --- Tyranitar switched in Heatran Machamp used Ice Punch. It's not very effective... Heatran lost 8% of its health. --- I was getting a little tired of this little stall war we had goin Tyranitar: That's 3 hax in a row Tyranitar: Better connect --- Heatran used Fire Blast. Machamp lost 67% of its health. mystery's Machamp fainted. --- Yes! Finally, Machamp is down. I didn’t get to see whether it was Guts or No Guard, but I have little to worry with Machamp taking a nice, long, dirt nap. Tyranitar: Thank god 6-5: Tyranitar --- mystery switched in Medicham Tyranitar switched in Spiritomb Spiritomb is exerting its pressure! Medicham used Thunderpunch. Spiritomb lost 39% of its health. Tyranitar's Spiritomb fainted. --- I was predicting a Hi Jump Kick, but mystery made a very good prediction here and used Thunderpunch. It just knocked me out, which kind of sucked. However, it’s stuck on Thunderpunch, and I know for a fact that it’s Scarfed, meaning I get a free switch in to our favorite little uber; Garchomp. mystery: so predictable Tyranitar: LIEK RLY? LOLZ LOLZ LOLZ mystery: no worries 5-5: Even --- Tyranitar switched in Garchomp mystery switched in Metagross Garchomp used Earthquake. It's super effective! Metagross lost 109% of its health. mystery's Metagross fainted. --- Eat those words, mystery. No way was I gonna Swords Dance so you could Ice Punch, or Bullet Punch. Garchomp had a little something something for Metagross, Choice Banded Earthquake. mystery: my turn 5-4: Tyranitar --- mystery switched in Medicham Tyranitar switched in Suicune Suicune is exerting its pressure! Medicham used Hi Jump Kick. Suicune lost 40% of its health. Suicune's leftovers restored its health a little! --- Ouch. I knew Medicham is strong, but damn! 3HKO one of the bulkiest Pokemon to date. Oh yeah, I’m gonna get a sub in either way, Hi Jump Kick might miss, and I might not have enough HP, but I’m sure Suicune’s pressure will scare away Medicham, and the idea of a Surf hitting him and possibly OHKOing with a crit is going to be enough to scare him away. Tyranitar: I'm fine with this --- mystery switched in Jirachi Suicune used Substitute. Suicune lost 25% of its health. Suicune made a substitute! --- Oh man. Jirachi vs. Suicune. Battle of the Calm Minders! This is going to be epic, so I’ll lay off the comments for a while so you can enjoy the CM race. --- Jirachi used Substitute. Jirachi lost 25% of its health. Jirachi made a substitute! Suicune used Calm Mind. Suicune's special attack was raised. Suicune's special defence was raised. Jirachi's leftovers restored its health a little! --- mystery: lets play this game Tyranitar: Why not? --- Jirachi used Calm Mind. Jirachi's special attack was raised. Jirachi's special defence was raised. Suicune used Calm Mind. Suicune's special attack was raised. Suicune's special defence was raised. --- Jirachi used Calm Mind. Jirachi's special attack was raised. Jirachi's special defence was raised. Suicune used Calm Mind. Suicune's special attack was raised. Suicune's special defence was raised. --- Jirachi used Calm Mind. Jirachi's special attack was raised. Jirachi's special defence was raised. Suicune used Calm Mind. Suicune's special attack was raised. Suicune's special defence was raised. --- Jirachi used Psychic. The substitute took damage for Suicune! Suicune used Calm Mind. Suicune's special attack was raised. Suicune's special defence was raised. --- Jirachi used Psychic. The substitute took damage for Suicune! Suicune's substitute faded! Suicune used Calm Mind. --- Jirachi used Psychic. Suicune lost 15% of its health. Suicune's special defence was lowered. Suicune used Substitute. Suicune lost 25% of its health. Suicune made a substitute! --- Jirachi used Psychic. The substitute took damage for Suicune! Suicune used Surf. The substitute took damage for Jirachi! Jirachi's substitute faded! --- Jirachi used Psychic. The substitute took damage for Suicune! Suicune's substitute faded! Suicune used Surf. Jirachi lost 46% of its health. --- Jirachi used Psychic. Suicune lost 16% of its health. Suicune used Surf. Jirachi lost 46% of its health. --- Jirachi used Psychic. Suicune lost 16% of its health. Suicune used Surf. Jirachi lost 49% of its health. mystery's Jirachi fainted. --- What a battle! Suicune’s superior defenses pulled through in the end, allowing him to tank boosted Psychics without losing a step. Still, he’s very, very vulnerable right now, meaning he’s going to be revenge killed. I can’t let him die yet, he might have a special attacker meaning he could be of some use later on. Tyranitar: You can't win lol mystery: forgot to fix that move lol 5-3: Tyranitar --- mystery switched in Medicham Tyranitar switched in Deoxys-e Deoxys-e is exerting its pressure! Medicham used Thunderpunch. Deoxys-e lost 61% of its health. --- This could’ve been such a nice play; letting Suicune get Thunderpunched to death, then letting Garchomp coming in for a quick revenge kill. Sadly, Medicham is such a beast, it’ll 2HKO my Deoxys-e. Praying for a crit! --- Deoxys-e used Psychic. Medicham lost 78% of its health. Deoxys-e lost 10% of its health. Medicham used Thunderpunch. Deoxys-e lost 63% of its health. Tyranitar's Deoxys-e fainted. --- What a brute! It took the Psychic like a man and smacked my Deoxys-e with the back of his hand. Medicham, however, is stuck on Thunderpunch, which means… Tyranitar: Yayz mystery: psychic? Tyranitar: What? 4-3: Even --- Tyranitar switched in Garchomp mystery switched in Breloom Garchomp used Outrage. Garchomp went on a rampage! Breloom lost 134% of its health. mystery's Breloom fainted. --- Garchomp comes back into the fray, taking down Breloom with ease. However, with every prize comes a price, Chomp is prone to being revenge killed by Medicham, who’ll likely carry Ice Punch. 4-2: Tyraniar --- mystery switched in Medicham Medicham used Hi Jump Kick. Garchomp lost 72% of its health. Garchomp used Outrage. Medicham lost 158% of its health. mystery's Medicham fainted. Garchomp's rampage ended. Garchomp became confused! --- Wow…That was some excellent prediction. Don’t get it? Well, since Ice Punch was so obvious, Heatran was coming in to absorb the Ice Punch, however, Hi Jump Kick was there to OHKO Heatran. Still, I let Chomp die, which was very good for me since I would not have been able to afford losing Heatran, since he’ll outspeed the next thing he sends out, most likely. Tyranitar: ... mystery: its a brute 4-1: Tyranitar --- mystery switched in Azelf Azelf used Psychic. Garchomp lost 70% of its health. Tyranitar's Garchomp fainted. Azelf lost 10% of its health. --- The beginning of the end… Tyranitar: Why not Ice Punch? Tyranitar switched in Heatran Tyranitar: gg mystery: dont know gg Tyranitar: BOOM 3-1: Tyranitar --- Heatran used Explosion. Azelf lost 141% of its health. mystery's Azelf fainted. Tyranitar’s Heatran fainted. Tyranitar wins! 2-0 Pros Garchomp for being a beast Heatran for finishing the match Suicune for beating Jirachi in the CM War Mystery for the great battle Cons Lucario for not seeing any action Deoxys-e for just dying Machamp for getting so much hax Mystery for stealing my ScarfMedicham lol Metagross for doing literally nothing the entire match Mystery's Team http://www.smogon.com/download/sprites/dp/308.png http://www.smogon.com/download/sprites/dp/68.png http://www.smogon.com/download/sprites/dp/286.png http://www.smogon.com/download/sprites/dp/487.png http://www.smogon.com/download/sprites/dp/385.png http://www.smogon.com/download/sprites/dp/376.png |
Meh was decent, my predicting gets the best of me sometimes(and with no real bulkiness to lean towards i should have played it save but meh)
the first 2 games hax was just....well yea(abyay eat your heart out....or i will) this game i didnt get enough....ok i did but meh(i get hax so much i can call it the turn its gonna happen....dont judge me) Im not sure but i think maybe if i had tbolt on jirachi like i intended i might have taken cune(but hes a beast...period) In all gg no excuses close games ftw |
It was a close game, you had a chance to win if you let Medicham just use Ice Punch to kill Garchomp, then when Heatran comes in, let Azelf die, and then have Medicham kill Heatran AND Lucario.
This was a damn close match. |
well it could have gone that way but meh azelf is the best(125 base atk AND special attak..115 base speed...they could gave em zen headbut and a physical fight move.....what were you smoking GF...I want two of whatever your on)
breloom...nothing but a death fodder meta....unintenional death fodder machamp....always does its job...with or without guts rachi....needs moar testing...to be dropped what my team really needed was fire/earth resistance...moltress but i had made it like 5 mins before hand lol |
Moltres wasn't gonna stop Heatran my friend :D I seriously think if you let Azelf die, it would've let you win in the end, it was incredibly close.
