Munnay?

K' hope I did this right.
Anyways, I don't know how to get more cash in the G/S/C games outside of battling the elite four. Between buying new pokeballs to complete my dex and paying for Thunder Bolt/ Ice Beam/ Flamethrower I just can't afford it. There's some person who gives me a star piece every once in a while, but that's about it. So, to put it short, my question is: Is there a way to get more money besides by battling the elite four?

After you beat the elite four you can buy it from a guy for 4000 coins once per day by the goldenrod game corner. I think it's on Wednesday, Saturday, and something else.

Well, looks like I'll have to spend some more time at the elite four place...

Just battle people over and over again and then if you have any items that you don't want, then just sell them. Also, don't buy items that only work one time like XDefense or pokeballs(when you get pokeballs, just try to get them from that man who gives you them after you give him that berry or whatever from the tree until you have enough money). Don't buy repels or potions(use the cleanse tag or whatever; use berries). You can go on without them.
Then once you have enough money, exchange them for coins(but don't waste any at the slots)and use them to buy the special item that you want.

There ARE other places where you can battle in order for you to get more money than the Elite Four.

1. Red - You can face him every time after you beat the Elite Four. :3 Just grab your highest level pokemon or something and defeat him, and make sure (as for all the other places) that one of the fighting pokemon has an Amulet Coin.

2. Everyday in Viridian City there is the little place where you can battle someone once a day. Make sure you fight there for money. :3

3. The Boat. Monday and Friday go to Johto and it'll take you to Kanto, and then on Wednesday and Sunday (I think... I'm not sure.) You can go from Kanto to Johto. There on the ship will be easy battles you can win, so you can earn a little bit of extra money from there. :]

4. Make sure you have people on your phone, so they can call up a battle. |3 You probably don't get much money from them, but it's better than nothing, right~?

5. On Monday and Wednesday you can face your Rival at the Pokemon League. Make sure you don't miss this chance. :3

That should be it! Hope this helps! :D

Heh, I can believe nobody said this: all the Mondays, from 7 to 10 AM, a guy in the Goldenrod Underground Pass will sell you high-selling items (Nuggets, Star Pieces, etc) under their real price, so you can get between 500 and 1000 pokedollars with each item you buy from him.

  1. Keep fighting the elite four with an amulet coin
  2. Keep going to the casino and hope to get lucky
  3. Sell random items that you find on the floor to a pokemart.

As Binary said, use the boat. It's a great source of money, especially with the amulet coin (just make sure that pokemon participates in all the battles). From what I remember of Gold/Silver, you are able to go on the ship multiple times in the same day, you just always have to come from the same port. Fighting all the trainers again and again can get you loads of money quickly.
