The Supreme Army of PokeCommunity [ OU RMT ]

Hello there, PokeCommunity. Some of you, like I, "Lala", have a liking of people you've met and can ONLY talk to on PokeCommunity. Thus, I've made a list of 6 people who I've talked with when I came to PC and matched them with a Pokemon that I have made into one team.

The Army

http://www.pokemondb.co.uk/images/sprites/diamond-pearl/normal/azelf.png
Dark_Azelf
Azelf @ Focus Sash
Hasty
4 HP / 252 Sp.Atk / 252 Speed
Psychic
Taunt
Stealth Rock
Explosion

D_A, you're ever so nice yet show your power almost always on ABYAY's Shoddy Server, thus you match Azelf, even your name says it. Taunt stops enemy leads from setting up while I put up my own rocks. Explosion is a nice little good-bye gift. ;)

http://www.pokemondb.co.uk/images/sprites/diamond-pearl/normal/machamp.png
Apostle
Machamp @ Leftovers
No Guard
252 HP / 36 Atk / 216 Def / 4 Speed
Rest
Sleep Talk
DynamicPunch
Ice Punch

Oh Apostle, how we fear your Super Moderator powers, as do we fear Machamp's fearsome Base Atk. Ice Punch hits Salamence and other Flying-types besides Gyarados hard, while DynamicPunch does damage to Water, Fire and Steel-types, the resisters of the aforementioned Ice Punch. Rest-Talk is a fantastic combo on Machamp, as it counters TTar and it can absorb status and abuse Guts, but No Guard is on this set for DynamicPunch's accuracy. ^_^

Anti Pop Culture Warrior
Gyarados @ Life Orb
Adamant
252 Atk / 252 Speed / 4 SpD
Waterfall
Dragon Dance
Earthquake
Stone Edge

Anti, if you're wondering why I paired you with Gyarados, it's because you have a rather "agressive" nature and you're a "feared" Rater at PC, with a large number of posts, making your Pokemon naturally long. ^_^; Waterfall is for STAB, and Stone Edge smacks enemy Gyarados and Salamence, while Dragon Dance helps it sweep. Earthquake provides great coverage with Stone Edge, with Waterfall smacking Bronzong silly, the most common resister of the combo.

http://www.pokemondb.co.uk/images/sprites/diamond-pearl/normal/heatran.png
Azonic
Heatran @ Choice Specs
Modest
40 HP / 252 Sp.Atk / 216 Speed
Fire Blast
Explosion
Earth Power
Dragon Pulse

Azonic, you are so naive and reckless trying to mess with I, and several other moderators on ABYAY's Shoddy Server. Fire Blast with Specs is very powerful and smacks everything not called Blissey, Snorlax or bulky Pokemon that resists Fire, and for those Flash Fire Pokemon, we have Earth Power. ^_^ Dragon Pulse + Earth Power + Fire Blast provide great coverage, not a single Pokemon is not neutral to at least one of the aforementioned attacks. Explosion gives a nice little last resort that severely wears down Blissey and Snorlax.

http://www.pokemondb.co.uk/images/sprites/diamond-pearl/normal/salamence.png
BeachBoy
Salamence @ Life Orb
Rash
120 Atk / 136 Speed / 252 Sp.Atk
Draco Meteor
Brick Break
Fire Blast
Roost

BeachBoy, you have always loved Offensive style of playing, right? ;) Draco Meteor smacks everything not named Heatran or other Steel-types, which Brick Break and Fire Blast deal with. Brick Break also breaks Snorlax and Blissey for me, which is always lovely. Roost keeps it alive for a while, three cheers for instant recovery!

http://www.pokemondb.co.uk/images/sprites/diamond-pearl/normal/cresselia-f.png
Deviruchi
Cresselia @ Choice Scarf
Modest
80 HP / 60 Def / 116 Speed / 252 Sp.Atk
Ice Beam
Psychic
Reflect
Lunar Dance

Deviruchi, I don't know how to say this but...you're a Key to this team's success! ;) Anyway, one of THE most reliable MixApe and Garchomp counters, with the power to outspeed and OHKO both with Ice Beam and Psychic, respectively. Reflect helps the team on the physical side, while Lunar Dance, while it may seem like a novelty, can work in times of need. For example, I may have Cresselia and Gyarados both at low HP, I should sacrifice Cresselia to help Gyarados, yes?

Oh, lol, this is legendary. But you left a few people out... *tear*

Um, Jynx is really going to have problems dealing with leads. Many carry Flamethrower for Bronzong.

Otherwise it looks pretty nice.

ABYAY August 21st, 2008 10:25 PM

You have an ABYAY weakness because it's not on this team. *nuked with my own explosion*

But I do like the team, and your choices make complete sense.

Lack of a Rock resist hurts a lot, especially with 3 Pokemon weak to SR and no resistances. Jynx can deal with lead Tars, should they be Choice Banded, although at the loss of its own life. If Jynx gets any priority moves, you could throw them on for novelty and to deal with Sash leads.

You're very Tyranitar weak, Dragon Dance to be precise (no pun on my name =/)

It hits all of your team for super effective, and has a lot of chances to set up. Azelf is your only saving grace (Explosion, but if it gets locked on a move like Psychic or Fire Blast, that's a free set up) And Jynx, which will not touch a single DDTar. If you can predict right, you can bring in Jynx or something like Gyara when you sense TTar coming in, but that'll be very annoying.

It's Sandstorm ruins Jynx's Focus Sash, and if it's a defensive set, Focus Blast will not OHKO. It just is a huge pest.

I'd replace something with a TTar counter, however, that's up to you.

Conclusion: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v314/Derrick18/Different%20Pics/dpmfa248.png > Anti, BeachBoy, D_A, Azonic, Apostle, Deviruchi

Oh yeah, I went there.

Anti August 21st, 2008 11:11 PM

I'd definitely replace Jynx. As much as I love Luke Jynx is unnecessary and a bulky fighter would be great in its place. I recommend Hariyama, who stops Ninjask from laughing at this team and makes a solid switch-in on Tyranitar.

Who on PC is as fat as Hariyama will be tough to figure out tho :(

EDIT: Disappointed at lack of status on scarfcress, that's the best part about the set imo :(

. August 21st, 2008 11:21 PM

He could opt for Machamp, if he doesn't want to degrade someone about being fat. It can take status and abuse it if he opts for Guts (but No Guard Dynamicpunch is sooooooooooooo sexy) Rest Talk set can work, since this team takes status really badly:

Machamp @ Leftovers
Adamant
252 HP/252 Att/6 Spe
Dynamicpunch
Ice Punch/Stone Edge
Rest
Sleep Talk

You could opt for a bulkier set, but I use this and it does wonders countering Weavile (which sort of hurts your team)

Anti August 21st, 2008 11:24 PM

imo hariyama would be better for WW alone seeing as anything can blindly stat-up or even worse BP right in this team's face. Hariyama also has more physical bulk which this team could probably use.

. August 21st, 2008 11:28 PM

Good luck finding someone fat enough to agree Anti lol.

Anyway, if he uses Hariyama, he can't take status well, which hurts a lot.
