Master Dakim-I just can't beat 'im

Anyone have a good strategy for-I'm sorry if this is stupid- Da Big D? This guy has left me stranded in the Colosseum.

Sakura and Espeon August 15th, 2004 2:30 PM

Dakim uses Fighting Type Pokemon I think..., so I suggest using high level flying types or use Espeon on a high level. He will send out a Shadow Entei at the end so don't use a water type or it will faint. ^_^

okay, here's the main advice I can give you: Dakim starts out with an earthquake protect stratagy, one uses protect, the other uses earthquake, and they keep switching, always attack the one that's about to use earthquake.

Entei August 15th, 2004 11:34 PM

Just train your pokemon up to at least level 43 [except shadow pokemon]. And face him again somtimes you should send out shadow pokemon first so they can fight then send out umbreon and espeon which were trained to level 43 or so and fight him but make sure you get Entei cause when you purify him which I suggest you just use the time flute in relic forest to purify him fast. He'll be A big help.

Also Dakim uses ground rock steel and fire type pokemon so watch out. Also when he sends out metang which is A steel type wait for awile for some pokemon to use earth quake cause if you don't it will take you a long time to beat it. Also you could just use any ground type moves you're pokemon might have learned.

Entei, please don't double post, it is against the rules. If you need to say something else, use the edit button.

For Dakim, the best strategy is Flying-types, since he loves using Earthquake. Also, when capturing Entei, use Ultra Balls or Great Balls (I got one with a Great Ball.), but most importantly, put a sleep condition on him. I suggest Noctowl's Hypnosis. Also, it would be a bad idea using a Time Flute on him. There are Pokémon that you will need it for more later, like Tyranitar.

Btw, please post simple questions in the "Simple Questions" thread that is stickied.

A very good Pokemon for this would be Mantine, since it's Water to take down his Ground types, and Flying to avoid Earthquake. For the other Pokemon... I would suggest another Flying type, maybe Skiploom/Jumpluff, since the Grass part can do a fair bit of damage to Ground types. Sleep Powder should also help whe capturing Entei.
