"Offense" tastes great! [ OU RMT ]

Why hello there, PC. We all know the current state of the metagame does not really use counters anymore, as they are pretty much dead weight now. The metagame has resorted to the "Offensive Style", by that it means threats are revenged, not actually thoroughly countered.

I, being one who believed in using an army of Walls, have now taken this in, like many other "Wall Abusers", like Dark_Azelf. ;) Thus, marking the success of me turning to revenge killing, I have made a team I call "The Cafe", with "Offense" being the name of the signature coffee they serve.

Gyarados @ Life Orb
Adamant [ +Atk -Sp.Atk ]
252 Atk / 252 Speed / 4 Sp.Def
- Waterfall
- Earthquake
- Dragon Dance
- Stone Edge

Comments:

BeachBoy, you love "Offensive Style" and Water-type Pocket Monsters, right? I'm only saying Pocket Monsters because of you. ;) Anyway, when you mix "Offensive Style" and Water-type Pokemon, you get something called Gyarados, a powerful Physical Sweeper I will always use.

The EVs were slightly altered from 184 Speed to max, to outspeed all 125 Base Speed OR lower Pokemon without Choice Scarf, which 184 Speed cannot do. Waterfall is the main STAB, and with Stone Edge and Earthquake, only Breloom resists the 3 move combination. It may seem strange for it to lead, but nothing else can really lead plus it gives a quick Intimidate, which is always lovely.

Dark_Azelf
Azelf @ Choice Scarf
Naive [ +Speed -Sp.Def ]
40 Atk / 252 Sp.Atk / 216 Speed
- Psychic
- Fire Blast
- Hidden Power Ice
- Explosion / Thunderbolt

Comments:

Azelf is always a nice Pokemon to clean up things with a Scarf, and more so with this slightly altered Moveset. Hidden Power Ice is a nice move, that revenge kills all the common Dragons in OU besides maybe Kingdra, but very useful. Unfortunately, there are to be sacrifices if I want to outrun Timid Scarf Gar. First, now I can't OHKO non-Yache Garchomp with Hidden Power Ice and in general moves are now a bit weaker. Explosion is for the grand finale, but Thunderbolt helps my Gyarados a bit, opinions please.

ABYAY
Celebi @ Choice Specs
Modest [ +Sp.Atk -Atk ]
152 HP / 252 Sp.Atk / 104 Speed
- Psychic
- Grass Knot
- Leaf Storm
- Hidden Power Ground

Comments:

I could not really find anyone who matched with Celebi and I wanted ABYAY on this team, so yeah. Apologies to ABYAY if he dislikes Celebi representing him.

The EV spread seem odd, but it has a purpose. 104 Speed EVs outruns 252 Speed Adamant Gyarados, something which this thing helps take on, while 152 HP adds a bit of bulkiness to it, and 252 Sp.Atk is simply to make it even easier to incinerate everything. After all, 490 Sp.Atk is nothing to put aside with a 140 Base Power move.

Psychic is a powerful STAB on Specs Celebi, even if it's just bait for Dark-types to come in. While Leaf Storm and Grass Knot is a combo that rivals that of SpecsMence's Draco Meteor and Dragon Pulse, excluding the resistances. Hidden Power Ground hits Heatran and Metagross, the two most popular non-levitating Steel-types in my opinion, for super effective damage.

Syaoran
Heatran @ Choice Specs
Modest [ +Sp.Atk -Atk ]
40 HP / 252 Sp.Atk / 216 Speed
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Dragon Pulse
- Stealth Rock

Comments:

Syaoran, you are always so reckless in kicking people on ABYAY's Server. I don't mean you are corrupted, it's just it takes so little for you to hand out shiny boots and it is in general hilarious.

Fire Blast with Choice Specs does a lot to anything, except Snorlax or maybe Garchomp and Dragonite. Dragon Pulse naturally provides great coverage, OHKOing the aforementioned Dragons, unless they were to have a novelty Haban Berry set. Earth Power KOs the only remaining resister of the infamous Dragon + Fire combo, Heatran. Stealth Rock is a very useful move in today's metagame, BUT it makes me look Taunt weak.

Vance
Garchomp @ Choice Band
Jolly [ +Speed -Sp.Atk ]
252 Atk / 252 Speed / 4 HP
- Outrage
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Fire Fang

Comments:

Vance, you said you want to be one of the most hated Pokemon in PC's opinion, right? Then I'll give you one, Garchomp, currently making a big mess of PC's Strategies and Movesets "professional battlers", is obviously hated.

Garchomp is already a powerful beast, more so with a Choice Band, requiring no set-up and just hitting hard right off the bat. Outrage will be the move you'll most use late game, Dragon Claw is for early in the game when you don't want to be locked in battle but still deliver a hard hit. Earthquake hits Heatran and other non-levitating Steel-types like Magnezone for at least neutral, who resist Outrage. Fire Fang deals with those levitating Steel-types, and therefore forms an unresisted combo that hits very hard. Do note that Fire Blast isn't in the set, because I care more about Bronzong then doing more damage to Skarmory who is still probably 2HKO'd by Fire Fang.

Anti-Pop Culture Warrior
Salamence @ Life Orb
Rash [ +Sp.Atk -Sp.Def]
212 Sp.Atk / 176 Speed / 120 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Brick Break
- Fire Blast
- Roost

Comments:

Anti, didn't you want to be a Salamence instead of Gyarados? Well, "your wish is my command.", you are now a Salamence. =)

Mix Mence is a rare sight these days in my opinion, I mostly see Dragon Dance Salamence. Draco Meteor smashes Physical Walls and is also a powerful STAB by itself. Brick Break deals with Heatran, Blissey, and Snorlax, who would otherwise completely wall this. Fire Blast deals with Bronzong and all other Steels not mentioned just now much harder then Brick Break. Roost keeps this thing living a bit longer and in general keeps LO recoil from being too much.
176 Speed is to outspeed non-Timid, Hasty or Jolly Lucario, therefore allowing me to Fire Blast or Brick Break them before they KO with Stone Edge or Hidden Power Ice.

Well, PC, I will test this team on Shoddy. But for now, please do kindly suggest help that does not suggest walls, this team will NOT use any Walls at all. Thank you for your time. :)

Also, make your posts actually english for me to read it well, just a small notice no need to panic. ;)

You make such good theme teams :3

Anyway, as for the team, it's awesome. Still, TTar can prove to be a little problem. Garchomp can come in on anything except Ice Beam (which isn't that common, and if it is, it loses either Crunch or Stone Edge) Azelf can blow up on it, just watch out since if it carries Leftovers, it'll gain that HP back.

Overall, awesome team :D

EDIT: Hey, D_A thinks I'm win :D

I am opposed to offense teams, as I am allergic to them.

But a word of caution, Garchomp may soon get banned, so you might want to think of replacements. No time soon, of course, so, enjoy him now.

Hasty [ +Speed -Sp.Atk ]
252 Atk / 252 Speed / 4 Sp.Def
- Fake Out
- Night Slash / Ice Punch
- Taunt
- Counter

Fake Out lets you negate sash's better whilst causing flinches, use it >>Ice Shard.

Use Hasty to power up Counter more.

Ice Punch hits Aero whilst Night Slash hits Azelf, Deoxys and what not, so ill leave that up to you.

you are represented by is only used to combat Suicide Leads, which are a prick to any team.

Do not use =/

Your horrifically Gyarados weak, so the last move may be beneficial.

Gyarados @ Life Orb
Adamant [ +Atk -Sp.Atk ]
252 Atk / 252 Speed / 4 Sp.Def
- Waterfall / Aqua Tail
- Earthquake
- Dragon Dance
- Stone Edge / Ice Fang

I find Aqua Tail much more useful on this, simply because i found waterfall lacking in power and failed to finish off opponents by just a sliver of hp AKA stuff like Machamp. A nice bonus is you can 2hko cress with it too =D.

Ice Fang may be nice here for you since Chompy may be problematic, but meh

Meh, k, but i find Scarf Tran with Stealth Rock >> Explosion MUCH better for team support on offense.

Bump your speed to 280 to outspeed Stone Edge Lucario.

Watch out for Deoxys, scarf gar may be of some use >>Azelf here. (Still that is noob , due to it not being an Elf lol)

Quite a gimmicky Weavile set, although I like it. I would love Brick Break there, probably instead of Counter, for TTar who would ruin your sash anyway. I don't think losing your Weavile just to counter Bronzong is good enough.. Taunt it (it will most likely SR), then switch to Gyarados so you could start DD'ing up only worrying about Explosion. Counter isn't worth the spot IMO.

Other than exploding your Azelf or relying on Focus Sash to survive and kill D-E, you have no way of stopping it... and it's a big problem, since most of them are used for late game and not as leads. Perhaps a scarf Metagross instead of Azelf will help against D-E, still able to hit with a fast Explosion and Ice Punch to kill Garchomp. That, or the agility version with possibly Lum Berry to ensure status doesn't get in the way, whether it's sleep or paralysis. Having a faster pokemon than Lucario that takes ridiculous damage from Extremespeed is also good, in case you don't have Gyara anymore.

On Heatran, I'm not sure, but perhaps you should give it Stealth Rock instead of Explosion. SR is the most useful move in D/P, I think it's silly to not include it in -any- team. Explosion is of course handy, but it's not like you lack physical sweepers (especially if you take my advice for Metagross too).
