[ Shoddy ] It's getting awfully sunny out...

Ambipom @ Focus Sash
Technician
Jolly
252 Speed/252 HP/6 Defense
-Protect
-Sunny Day
-Baton Pass
-Nasty Plot

Lead. Sets up Sunny Day and Plotpasses to whatever can take it out barring a lead Fighter, who will (nearly) kill it. Protect to scope out counters. It needs the speed to Plotpass.

Sunflora @ Choice Specs
Solar Power
Modest
252 Special Attack/252 HP/6 Speed
-Solarbeam
-HP Fire
-Energy Ball
-Sludge Bomb

After Sunny Day has been set up, this thing can hit HARD. The EV's are for minimum SP recoil and maximum damage. Extra Speed EV's are unnescessary, as even its counters will take heavy damage from Solarbeam (most of them, anyway).

Tropius @ Choice Specs
Solar Power
Modest
252 Special Attack/252 Speed/6 HP
-Leaf Storm
-HP Fire
-Air Slash
-Energy Ball

Usually a good switch when the following situation happens:
-Opponent switches into a fighter while Pom sets up Sunny Day
-They hit it to 1 HP while Pom Plots
-Pom Passes to Tropius

This says a big fat "HIIII" to Heracross, who counters a lot of this set.

Heatran @ Choice Scarf
Flash Fire
Modest
EV's: 252 Special Attack/252 Speed/6 HP
-Flamethrower
-HP Ice
-Earth Power
-Explosion

A standard Scarfran set. -EDIT: Took out Dragon Pulse for HP Ice. Thank you for the suggestion, Vance.-

Ninetales @ Leftovers
Flash Fire
Timid
EV's: 252 Speed/252 Special Attack/6 HP
-Nasty Plot
-Flamethrower
-Energy Ball
-Hypnosis

Plottales with Hypnosis. It's a late-game sweeper, as it throws a wrench in the minds of anyone who predict Heatran (though Earthquake will still hit it hard...)

Claydol @ Leftovers
Levitate
Calm
EV's: 252 Defense/252 Special Defense/6 HP
-Sunny Day
-Rapid Spin
-Stealth Rock
-Toxic

Spin support to protect Plottales, as well as an effective counter to people who switch in on Heatran to Quake it. Sets up Sunny Day and Stealth Rock as well, and if I'm feeling extra mean, Toxics Steels that are stupid enough to be around that aren't named Heatran.

Let me know what you think. :)

Dragon Pulse on Scarftran is not going to be OHKOing Dragons like crazy. HP Ice is preferred on the set.

El Gofre August 30th, 2008 8:05 AM

Blissey= OLOL!

Seriously, this is the most specially orientated team I've ever seen. You have literally nothing capable of hurting blissey and snorlax, unless you wanna sacrifice an entire poke to try. Anything geared towards special walling is going to be the doom of you, stall out sunny day and leave you without the weather you're relying on in a lot of cases. You severly need physical attackers, and some walls to go with them.

He could opt for physical Infernape, to kill Blissey and Lax.

Infernape @ Expert Belt
Jolly
252 Att/252 Spe/6 HP
Close Combat
Swords Dance/Grass Knot
Flare Blitz
Stone Edge

DonRoyale August 30th, 2008 9:30 AM

Duh!
Pardon my moment; I completely forgot a pyhsical Fire-Type. Infernape is the best option for me. :S

Who to drop for it? Ninetales?

And Dragon Pulse has been dropped for HP Ice. Thank you, Vance.

The fanboy in me wants you to use Scarflosion for EXTREME DAMAGE. But other than that and the obvious special problem, it's a good team.

Spazzy August 31st, 2008 10:51 PM

Moonlight/Synthesis+Sun=Ultrawin for tanks.

Cradily, Clefable, Umbreon, are just a few of the choices of things that will get 2/3 healed.

Also, if something has a water attack, it will generally have an ice attack. Those two types hit your whole team for at least double, except for the Ambipom that can't attack.

I'm too tired to think of what to take out and what to replace it with right now, I'll get back to you later if I remember.

Actually, Vance, considering the amount of Garchomps running Yache, I would just be inclined to run Dragon Pulse.

Also, Claydol struggles with OUs hard hitters. Lastly, status will hurt you. Burn isn't going to be a problem, but Sleep and Para...

Dragon Pulse will not be OHKOing dragons with no Specs added.
